Hey, you know how people move somewhere far away and change their names when they want start fresh, at least in stories?
...Can elves do that? In Middle-Earth OR in Aman?
#silm#silmarillion#I think it's possible in Middle-Earth there's so many lost elves there someone's GOT to just get a wig and live under a different name#but in Aman I think one gets IDed within a day wherever they go including their whole family tree#honestly I think it would be illegal in Aman if elves ever thought of the concept there#too many murderers returning from the Halls#I just made myself sad that it's not an option for them#ignore me just thinking aloud#not even any concrete elves in mind
