hey guys! it’s bec here.

it’s been a very long time since i’ve been on here (or on tumblr in general) and it’s time for me now to explain why and then bow out as gracefully as i can.

i loved every second i spent talking to everyone on here, giving advice and talking about love and all kinds of incredible and really gay things. anyone who’s been on here for a while knows that at a certain point that content stream began to slow and come to a stop completely.

the truth is that i’m just not the kind of person who can be on social media, especially with any kind of following or responsibility at all. as much as i loved everything i did here and am so proud of all the times i helped people, it wasn’t sustainable for my own mental health, and i felt unable to provide the honest explanation you guys deserved. this is it. i apologize deeply for how long it’s taken.

i’ve been meaning to do this for a while. i’m now a full-time college student in my sophomore year and don’t do much besides sleep and work, so it kept falling to the wayside. for those of you who’ve followed this blog for a while, you know i was one of two mods, and that we were in a relationship for quite some time. the other mod kept this blog going up until the middle of this year. unfortunately, that relationship recently ended, and that’s my cue. the other mod’s story isn’t mine to tell, but i’m leaving this blog in that mod’s hands.

everyone on here is so deserving of love, and i am so grateful for the time i got to spend with all of you. thank you for sharing your stories with me and letting me share mine with you.

as i said, social media and i don’t really mix, but for the time being i sometimes use twitter and occasionally instagram, and am, at the very least, reachable on those platforms. both of those usernames are @plantcrime.

so a while ago we had a bunch of people requesting that we start a discord, and i’m almost done setting it up.

my question is!!!!! what kind of channels would you guys like to see on there?

i’m thinking mostly text chats, and some locked ones specifically for the bgcp, but would you rather have different channels for different topics, or just multiple “general” channels where you can figure things out on your own?

great questions!!! no we are not dead and yes everything is all right. im gonna do a more general status update withing the next 48 hours BUT since i saw these two were at the top of the box ill do a more specific one now.

ive actually been in australia for the past two weeks?? and cinnys been out of town for a couple days too. internets been spotty. i have however answered a lot of the asks ON PAPER cuz i printed them out before i left. and those answers will be up, again, within the next 48 hours.

im hopping a plane back to the states in a few hours and then ill answer all your burning questions about gay stuff and my absence (if you have any about the latter). be safe and ill see you guys soon.

that’s a really great question honestly, thank you for the concern. life is overwhelming a lot of the time but cinny and i are both still here!!! and i know we’re both so grateful for all of your patience and support.

mental illness is a big issue!!! i know for me specifically i have obsessive-compulsive personality disorder which makes doing any kind of task kinda hellish. i love being on here and helping you guys cuz i love you all dearly, it just takes a lot of effort to start the process. im in therapy though and im working on stuff and so hopefully things will keep getting better with time!!

and plus there were particular events happening recently and things got muddled BUT im on now and i updated bgcp which i will make a post about soon and im trying so so hard to get my ducks in a row. thank you all for your patience, youre all angels and you deserve the best.

tl;dr: neither of us are ever gone because we want to be or because we don’t love y’all. we’re just struggling like everyone else.
