Happy 4/13 everyone. While I haven't done anything homestuck related probably ever on Instagram just know it's part of my cosplay roots. My first big sewing project was fancy dreamer!Rose and boy oh boy was she a disaster. But I've learned from my mistakes and Stef still seemed to get some pretty cool pictures. Also I met a bunch of my friends in the community through cosplaying homestuck so yeah. Day 19: Worst cosplay memory...either trying to book a hotel room last minute or squishing a bunch of people on one room. Granted I love full rooms because it's so much fun with more people I just don't like booking hotel rooms. Or my fancy dreamer!Rose Lalonde cosplay. It was the first cosplay I really "made" and it was way above my skill level. I didn't know you needed to iron seams or finish them with anything more than fray check. That and I didn't know how to fit anything so my attempted corset was weird and I had to hand bead a bunch and make a stand up high collar. In the end I only wore it once and the entire thing had to be safety pinned in place since it was slightly too big.
