One of the country’s most infamous homes went up for sale this week, and the clicks soon followed.

The Palm Beach, FL, mansion of the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein listed for $22 million, and the sheer curiosity it inspired made it the week’s most popular home on realtor.com®.

The disgraced financier died in jail a year ago, while facing an array of criminal charges. Two of his properties—one in Florida, the other in New York—just went on the market.

The Palm Beach home is the less expensive of the two, and the images available are limited to a handful of shots of the mansion’s exterior. This lack of listing photos, however, didn’t stop gawkers from taking a peek at the property.

Just a couple miles north of Mar-a-Lago, the waterfront mansion was designed by John Volk, an architect of the mid-20th century who helped to define Palm Beach’s signature style.

While Palm Beach remains popular with luxury buyers, it will be interesting to see whether anyone will be able to look past the home’s most recent owner.

Aside from Epstein’s mansion, you also clicked on the country’s most expensive home, the second-oldest home in Indiana, and a marvelous modern farmhouse in Oklahoma.

Scott Lake is a smaller lake located in Waterford twp. This lake is only about 77.5 acres, while it is on the smaller end of the spectrum, it is still an all-sports lake. This is a private lake so you won’t have to worry about any additional traffic on the weekends. This allows for a safer environment for you and your family. Being all sports means you are allowed to ski, wake-board, tube, etc. because you are allowed to have the proper boats in order to do such activities. Not only can you do all these fun sports, you can also have stand up jet-skis, and wave runners out on the water as well. All of this excitement makes for busy but memorable summer months.

Otter Lake – Waterford Mi

Otter Lake is an interesting lake. It is so, because, the lake is only 81 acres alone… but when combined with Sylvan Lake it reaches 540! Lake Oakland is located in Waterford twp. mainly but it also resides a bit in Independence twp. This allows the kids here to either attend Waterford or Clarkston schools. If you are new to the area you will find the homes here are on municipal or community water systems and the lots on this lake are under an acre. Moving to a lake like this will allow you and your kids to meet great people, have fun all year round on the water, and experience life in a new way. Living the lake life isn’t for everyone, but those who attempt rarely go back to a non-lake lifestyle. The summers here will be exciting and definitely cooler, and the winters won’t disappoint either! Elizabeth Lake. Waterford’s own private, all-sports lake. Sitting at 363 acres, Elizabeth Lake has a lot of room for those looking to continue their love of water-sports or to learn a new activity.  The depth of the lake is about 72 feet so you can imagine the fishing a pretty good as well.  Elizabeth Lake is a great lake for you and your family to move to. The school district is Waterford, so your kids won’t have to worry about switching schools. If you aren’t from this area you will find most if not all the roads are paved and the homes are either municipal, water at the street or community water systems. The water source of Elizabeth Lake is the Clinton River, and while the restrictions on this lake are not known, we can assume that they do enforce standard lake restriction for the safety of all its residents.

Cass Lake Waterford Michigan

Cass Lake is primarily located in Waterford Mi, however, West Bloomfield, Orchard Lake, and Keego Harbor lie within the boundaries of this lake. This is Oakland County’s largest lake, sitting at 1280 acres, and 123 ft deep @ deepest point, (26 ft is average depth). This is a public, all sports lake! Dodge Park allows public access with about 80+ parking spots. Being the largest lake in Oakland County and allowing public access, the lake is definitely going to be busy and even busier during the summer weekends. This may or may not be something you would be looking for depending on how old your children are. A busy lake makes for some fun water activities reckless. But with the proper safety knowledge and some common sense you will be just fine! The lake does have wake restrictions in some areas. Which helps the whole community stay safe while having fun. The lake is located in Waterford, and West Bloomfield School districts.  Perfect if you are looking to keep the kids in the same schools.

A Mid-Century Muddle in Portland Is Our Most Popular Home This Week

The most-clicked home this week has an eye-popping dual personality that realtor.com users found weirdly irresistible. From the outside, the vintage 1960s pad in Portland, OR, is all modern cool. But inside, the owners went haywire with decor. The gold coffered ceilings, multiple-patterned wallpaper, and gobs of mosaic tiles certainly commanded the attention of the web. Its relatively modest price of $539,000 also helped it make our list last week.

The runner-up is the aggressively wacky Kessler Mansion in Indianapolis, a home we covered last month that continues to inspire internet awe. The homeowner added to the mansion over the decades, and now the 29,500-square-foot compound has 11 bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The strange architectural statement is still available for $1,750,000.

After gauche comes gorgeous. Tenth on our list is a Southampton, NY, vacation compound belonging to retired pro golfer Raymond Floyd. Priced at $25 million, the 3.25-acre property comes with a main house, guest house, pool, and tennis court.

But this week’s most popular property on realtor.com® is a classic MCM plopped right in the middle of Ohio! It’s a well-maintained slice of vintage American architecture in an area where the winters are frigid and home designs rarely feature the signature indoor-outdoor flow of MCMs.

It’ll be a challenge to find “a banner-carrying Mid-Mod enthusiast who truly appreciates the built-ins and intentional spaces” in Ohio, according to the listing agent for this four-bedroom time capsule. We think it’s safe to say this home would easily quadruple in price were it located along the coast of California.

Away from the outlier in Ohio, we also noted the recurring interest in homes with dubious decor.
