“No way you get bitches,”
“What was that, Trappola?” Crewel shot a glare at his student who was staring at the picture on his desk.
The picture was of him and his spouse, looking very happy. He looked relaxed in the picture, his arm draped around you while you held his face in your hands and kissed his cheek. The best part was that you were dressed in one of his designs, looking ever so elegant in the fur shawl over your shoulders.
Ace stiffened up and was sent a concerned glance from Deuce, “Uhm, nothing… sir,” he quickly corrected himself.
He could not help it—all the time he spent in Professor Crewel’s class was filled with a certain strictness that he did not think anyone would find appealing. The redhead glanced at the picture again, before back at his professor.
Deuce was sweating, praying to whatever was in the sky that he would not get caught up in whatever trouble Ace would be in. He almost wanted to shake some sense in his dormmate.
Crewel drew the silence out, just for the sake of intimidating his students a little longer before his brows softened. He would not do anything further wreck his mood, not when the love of his life would come over and share lunch with him. He sighed, raising a red gloved hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, “I’ll let it slide this once, pup.”
The cyan-eyed student visibly slumped in relief.
He handed each of them their corrected worksheets. They both had detailed notes written in the margins on what they could do to improve. He pointed out how Ace could use his skills in Magic Analysis and apply them to Alchemy, and gave Deuce examples that could make more sense to him. He was a strict professor, but that did not mean he was a bad professor. He knew his rowdier dogs could improve—he expected them to. He laid out the resources, they just had to use them.
“Thank you, professor!” exclaimed Deuce, bowing his head in respect as he held the page to his chest. Deep down, he appreciated his professor's willingness to correct his work so thoroughly.
Ace nodded, as if sharing the thanks with Deuce, before following his classmate out.
Things stayed quiet before you burst through the doors, carrying lunch bags with you, wearing that smile he loved so much. Your clothes were a bit of a mess, but when were they not? You were always running about and doing something.
Crewel stood from his seat, a softer grin on his face as he stepped forward, his arms reaching out to adjust your outfit. Gentle hands tugged at the collar and fixed your mixed-up buttons, “Now, I wonder what circus you just returned from,”
You laughed and leaned into his touch, “Just the kitchen, nothing too crazy, Divus. I made raisin butter and homemade bread,” you told him, excitedly.
His thumb brushed over some flour left on your cheek, “I can see that much,” he muttered before he moved to your side and slid his hand down to the small of your back, “Come sit,” he said, guiding you to the seat across from his desk.
“You saved me from another lunch spent playing chess with Mozus,”
“Oh, come on. You act like spending time with him is a chore,” you replied, reaching into the bags to set the food on the desk for you guys to share.
He carefully moved his things out of the way, before taking his seat as elegantly as ever, “It’s only a chore when he spends thirty minutes deciding on his next move.”
You rolled your eyes playfully, “One day you’ll be just as old and spending thirty minutes buttoning up your vest. When that happens, I’ll remind you of this conversation.”
He let out a little laugh at that. Your joke just affirmed what he always knew, you would be with him forever, even when white became the natural color of his hair, even once his students were visiting him as adults with their own lives, and thanking him for his harshness. He let out a breath of contentment, before carefully cutting the bread you made for him, “How was work, my love?”

I can do the general relationship hc one anon^^
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two will definitely get along due to their outgoing and somewhat talkative nature.
At first, they didn't wanna share you with each other so there were times where they would always one-up the other when it comes to giving you attention.
It didn't take that long for them to accept each other and learn to share you.
These two would always bring you back a trinket or a small gift whenever they went on an expedition or even walked around the nation.
You are the one sleeping in the middle between these two. They prefer you in the middle so they could hold you and bask in your warmth.
Sure they can cook but they would prefer your cooking. It just gave them the feeling of home whenever they would eat your homemade meals.
Alhaitham and Diluc consider you as their go-to person whenever one of your boyfriends were either being a troublemaker or them being in serious trouble.
One time, you had to drag these two out of a tavern because they were almost about to cause a fight with the other customers.
Kaveh is a happy drunk, he would keep giggling at the simple things you do while muttering how perfect you are and how blessed he is to have you.
Kaeya is a flirty drunk, he would always wrap his arm around you and flirt with you until your face is as red as his brother's hair. Sometimes he would be drunk enough to leave kisses on your neck that Kaveh kept whining at how he was taking all your attention.
Both of them wants you to wear something that represents them to let people know you belong to the two of them. So they gifted you with a pair of earrings, each having a different design. One having a blue swan design while the other has a green bird one. Pavo Ocellus and Paradisaea. You are always seen wearing them.
Kisses between these two would always leave you breathless. They would make sure they kissed every spot, leaving nothing untouched.
Kaeya would always prefer your ass. While Kaveh is into your thighs.
These two are needy and clingy when it comes to your affection. They're not even embarrassed about it.
They showed it when you were guiding the traveler to Fontaine, leaving your boyfriends wanting for your attention.
Diluc and Alhaitham had to stop themselves from strangling the two. Without you around, Kaeya and Kaveh wouldn't stop talking about you and how you left them without even a kiss.
You received a personal letter from Alhaitham, with the help of Diluc's pet eagle, to hurry and come back or else they'll drag you home themselves.
Running home, you opened the door to your shared home only to be tackled to the ground by your two lovers.
One could almost say they looked like two dogs who finally saw their owner again with their tails wagging fast. You spent the whole day in between the two, they didn't let you go until dinnertime.
There was one time where these two were hiding a secret from you to the point that they would rather strangle each other than let you know.
You do have a secret weapon for that.
Alcohol is the best truth serum in the whole Teyvat that even your boyfriends won't be able to resist. You have to be sneaky when pouring them a glass or else they may catch up on your plans.
Once drunk, you can finally ask them the secrets they've been hiding from you.
"Don't tell (y/n).. but Kae.. ya and me are learning to cook.. their favourite foods.."
"Mm.. talked about the different positions.. we're going to do on them that will make them.. sore the next morning.."
Your face was beet red from the info you finally got out from the two. The secret they were keeping from you was supposed to be a surprise for your anniversary together.
You let out a gasp when you felt two pairs of arms wrap around your waist and torso. You looked down at your boyfriends and saw them grinning up at you.
"Why so red, darling?"
"Did you think you can make us tell the truth just by making us drunk?"
"I think we should punish them, Kaveh."
"Indeed."
The next morning, you had to stay in bed from how sore and full your body is.

An Alternate UnderSwap
An alternate take on UnderSwap
Frisk swaps with MK. Frisk is a human disguised as a monster. MK is a half human half monster (idk)
Chara swaps with Asriel. Chara is still the first fallen human but their soul controls a rose and they go by Rosie and with enough souls they can recreate their old body. Asriel was able to become a ghost with his determination and guides MK
Toriel swaps with River Person. Toriel ran away after Asgore disappeared and hides on the river. She wears a hood but it doesn't conceal her identity too well. River Person now goes by her true name Arial. She still has a shadowy face but it's in the shape of a skull. She was the former wife of Gaster but when he took the mantle of king and made their children part of the Royal Family she didn't think she could handle the responsibility of a queen. Her shadowy face is a result of an experiment done by her and Gaster. It doesn't hurt or anything just a mild annoyance
Napstablook swaps with Training Dummy. Napstablook posseses a punching bag esque training dummy and is rather passive and shy. Training Dummy is really bland and desires companionship. Very vanilla boring dude and is a writer but always writes bland uninteresting stories.
Sans swaps with Alphys. Sans is the Royal scientist hired by his dad Gaster. He feels like he didn't really earn his position but plays along nonetheless. He's studying quantum physics and is on the brink of discovering resets. He's a chill laid-back guy outside his lab and usually wears a lab coat, slippers, underwear, and shirts with science puns. Alphys is the former royal scientist who quit to live with Undyne in Snowdin after Undyne had trouble adapting to Hotland. Alphys isn't particularly interested in science anymore. She blames herself over every mistake. Instead of making puns she makes obnoxious pop culture references and wears a faded Mew Mew Kissy Cutie shirt that's 2 sizes too big.
Undyne swaps with Papyrus. Undyne never joined the Royal Guard but aspires to but Papyrus is hesitant to let her join because she has trouble controlling her emotions. She's brash and quick to fight but Alphys insists that she must use puzzles on the human first to avoid damaging them too much. She doesn't really like puzzles so usually she has Alphys make them. She prefers to cook ravioli but also likes spaghetti. Papyrus was named Captain of the Royal Guard by his dad. He sometimes feels as if he's not the best man for the job as he prefers pacifism and thinks that some other guard are better fighters but still appreciates the attention he gets as the captain. He is always ready for a scrap and is eager to fight but not actually hurt his foe. He wants to be taken seriously but is just a bit too goofy. He eventually gets fed up of chasing you and initiates the battle. He's one of the more determined monsters.
Temmie swaps with the Annoying Dog. Temmie is a weird cat dog thing that likes stealing things and annoying Undyne. She's alot stronger than she looks. Annoying Dog is a "Cool Dude" who runs a shop for charity donations in Waterfall. He'll eat anything and everything. He speaks in a nineties style.
Snowdin Shopkeeper swaps with Gerson. Bunnie (as shes known as) is the former captain of the Royal Guard. She was known as the sword of justice and taught Papyrus everything he knows. She retired early to raise her family. Gerson is an old tycoon. He sells weaponry for the Royal Guard and personal friend of Undyne.
Nice Cream Guy swaps with Grillby. Nice Cream Guy serves ice cream Goofy Goobers style and his homemade chocolate syrup is a personal favorite of Alphys so much that she drink it without anything else. He's a bit in over his head though as his parlor only got popular recently after Alphys added heaters around Snowdin. Grillby runs a small food truck for fast food. He travels the underground looking for buisness and always knows to stock Sans up with ketchup and hotdogs as Sans always orders way too much.
Mad Dummy and Mew Mew swap with Mettaton. Mad Dummy is now called Maddaton and was given a body by Sans who used the scrap pieces from Alphys old machine and at first they only hade one form their Boxer form but Sans gives them an upgraded TRANS form after she comes out as trans and this form was an old mech Sans found in Alphys old lab. Mettaton is a ghost possessed a metal training dummy that is overprotective of their cousin but is less mad and more over dramatic. He later posseses a masculine anime robot that sans was making as a gift for Alphys but he threw out after he found out that she is into a different anime. He adores this body and thinks that it's the real him.
Muffet swaps with So Sorry. Muffet runs an art club for spiders and isnt a very good artist (she's still a kid though so lay off). She also has a large sweet tooth. So Sorry reveals his true name as Hatter. (Every swap I make with Muffet ends up being the Mad Hatter but this one makes the most sense because he has his association with hats). He likes to make food art. Its all in the presentation. But he needs funds to help continue his passion and was paid a high amount of money to exterminate you.
Burgerpants swaps with Bratty and Catty. B&C are the very grumpy employees of Madatton and aren't very good at their jobs. They take their anger out by being passive aggressive to their customers and pretending not to be able to do their job....though their act isn't too far from if they actually tried. BP is a cool dude hanging out in the alleyway who totally doesn't sell drugs (you're not a cop are you). He's unemployed an kinda a hippie. He refuses to "work for the man and be another cog in the machine"
Gaster swaps with Asgore. On the day of his children's deaths Asgore was no where to be found. It seems that when he tried to absorb one of Alphys attempts of an artificial soul and it destroyed his body. Now he's all alone.... Gaster is the king who took over after the disappearance of Asgore. He aims to steal seven human souls and use them to become a god. And he doesn't care what he has to do to achieve that goal.

Mother 3 Novelization - Part 1 Prologue
Master
Tumblr media
And now for something completely different
Hello, all. This is a project I'm working on and it will go through multiple phases. Certainly not something I've done before. It's a novelization of the game MOTHER 3. I hope you enjoy the ride!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
My dear Reader,
The story you are about to experience will be told in a style you may not be used to nor that comfortable with. I assure you, it’s a story worth listening to, full of adventure, love, self discovery, betrayal, and redemption. It’s a story I hold close to my own heart.
This story comes from a video game titled MOTHER 3 and was only released in Japan on the Game Boy Advance in 2006. There are unofficial English translations of the game, but it still isn’t as accessible to the masses.
I, your narrator, will attempt to transpose MOTHER 3 into something of a novelization while holding onto the quirks and details of the game that I can. I have no affiliation with the writer, Shigesato Itoi, the director, Nobuyuki Inoue, the developers, Brownie Brown and HAL Laboratory, or the publisher, Nintendo. I am merely a fan who wishes to share a small bit of the creative genius that is MOTHER 3.
Sometimes the story will feel like just that, a story. Other times, it will feel as though I am guiding you on your own adventure that you experience through the lens of the characters you will come to know soon enough. The fourth wall is more of a curtain, as the game itself talks directly to the player and I will talk directly to you. It may be awkward occasionally but life often is.
MOTHER 3 is the third installment of the MOTHER series; the second, MOTHER 2, is known as EARTHBOUND outside of Japan. The first two games are related to MOTHER 3 but are not majorly consequential story-wise. They pull from the same universe but are set at different times. When necessary, I will offer the context needed to experience MOTHER 3 in its entirety.
Thank you for being here and I hope you enjoy the story.
Your Narrator, a frog
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Prologue  –
MOTHER 3 starts off by asking a few questions of the player. Since that becomes trickier in this medium, I will be using the given names and other default options. Except for the names of the characters in the story, these player inputs will be underlined:
Lucas – The younger twin brother. A gentle boy. Claus – The older twin brother. An energetic boy. Flint – The strong, kind, and dependable father. Hinawa – The beloved mother! Boney – The brave and smart dog. What’s your favorite homemade food? – Donuts What’s your favorite thing? – Love Is this okay? >Yes      No
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Welcome to the World of MOTHER 3
Tazmily Village was an isolated, self-sustaining community on Nowhere Islands. The villagers enjoyed living in their own slice of bliss with the village a mere stone’s throw away from the coast. The sandy beaches were a serene place to relax as the waves oscillated on the bank and the sun was never too much. Heading inland, modest houses built by the community’s hands stand comfortably, neither too extravagant nor poorly built. Each home is full of stories and love, the past generations’ lives etched into each plank of wood.
The residents of the village knew everything about each other, as there was nothing to hide nor any way to hide whatever could be hidden. No one would ever covet anything that wasn’t theirs, as all they had to do was ask. If you needed food, you could stop by the Yado Inn for lunch. If your couch broke, a visit to Flint would have the problem rectified in a matter of time. If you needed eggs, they were yours for the taking at Thomas’ Bazaar. The concept of commerce wasn’t prevalent in Tazmily Village, as everyone was accounted for and no one took more than they needed. Greed was a foreign concept in this community.
This story starts beyond the Sunshine Forest, in the mountains north of the village. The path leading up to this space was a winding but pleasant hike. Once the path unfolded through the trees, a two story cabin could be seen.
Our main character, who we will see grow throughout the story, is a little boy named Lucas. Lucas was asleep peacefully in one of the beds upstairs, blonde hair askew. A tiny bit a drool fell from his slightly opened mouth. It was a peaceful morning, the sun shining through the window and the sounds of the forest muted just enough to allow the growing boy to sleep in.
Loud knocking followed by a voice came from downstairs. “Lucas!! How long’re you gonna sleep?! Get up so we can play!” Claus, Lucas’ more active twin brother continued. “Get up already! The Dragos brought their babies over!” The redheaded twin grew more impatient with his sleepy brother, halfway out the door of the cabin before yelling once more. “They’re really cute!! Hurry up!”
Lucas stumbled out of bed and rubbed his sleepy eyes. His blue and white striped pajamas were a tiny bit too big for the boy and the hem of the pants dragged along the wooden floor. He slowly made his way downstairs to see his mother, Hinawa, sitting alone at the table alone, writing a letter. When she heard encroaching footsteps and creaks from the steps, she turned to see her drowsy son who had yet to get ready for the day. Hinawa couldn’t help but give a loving smile when Lucas’ classic bedhead paired with a tired yawn came into view. It was moments like this she cherished the most.
“Good morning, Mr. Sleepyhead Lucas. Claus has been up for a while, playing with the Dragos.”
The blonde child blinked slowly, allowing the information to seep into his tired mind. He watched as his mother returned to the paper on the table and was led by stumbling feet to the door, ready to join his brother in today’s adventure.
“Are you planning to play in your pajamas?” Hinawa asked. Not waiting for an answer, she continued, “Scoot upstairs and change your clothes.”
Lucas turned and, not minding the state of his appearance or the decorum of changing his attire into appropriate garb, shook his head in defiance.
“Then you can stay inside, in your pajamas, for the rest of your life.” His mother tried to keep the smile off her face, but it appeared anyway. She loved both of her sons equally, but Lucas was, by far, the baby. If possible, Hinawa would keep Lucas as a child forever, giving him all the love he deserved. She was happy Lucas had his brother, Claus, to look after him. The two were a perfect balance.
It’s at this point, dear Reader, that one wonders if everything could have been avoided had Lucas decided to stay inside in his pajamas. This inconsequential decision would alter the lives of Lucas, Hinawa, Claus, and the villagers of Tazmily Village, forever with no hope of turning back. A child stumbling thoughtlessly through a sliding glass door moment and the trajectory of his life veering off course.
It’s also possible the upcoming events were inevitable, regardless if Lucas changed out of his pajamas. Destiny, some might say.
We may never know.
Resigned, Lucas stumbled up stairs. He couldn’t resist his mother for long and Claus was waiting for him. His brother couldn’t have all the fun with the Dragos! His red and yellow striped shirt fit loosely over his chest and his worn down shorts had fringes on the edges. Lucas tied his shoes on tightly and styled his hair as best as he could. The boy wanted to be like his cooler brother, so he parted it exactly like Claus did. It wouldn’t occur to him until much later that his hair only mirrored the style of his brother’s and flicked upwards in the opposite direction. It emphasized their inverse personalities.
Lucas walked through the front door of the cabin, feeling the warm, summer air embrace him. The sun was shining and the grass waved in the gentle breeze.
“Oh, you’re up, sleepyhead.” Alec, the boys’ grandfather, greeted Lucas. His white, scruffy beard and thick rimmed glasses covered most of his face, but it was easy to read his happiness from his teasing tone. “Well, today’s the day you head back home. I’m gonna miss you guys.” Alec sighed and looked up at his home, thinking how quiet it will be once the three of them are gone and just how loud that silence is.
Lucas didn’t think much of going back home to Tazmily Village. He had his whole life ahead of him, after all, he was still a kid. The blonde boy was happy to see his father and dog again but he was sure he would return back to the cabin before long. He merely nodded at his grandfather and smiled a crooked smile, taking off to check on the animals.
This is another moment we must pause the story, dear Reader, as we have to discuss the animals of Nowhere Islands. If you ask anyone on what you might call “earth” if animals can talk, they would look at you crazy and say “of course not.” However, this is untrue. Every animal has a story to tell if you know how to listen. This might seem like a fascinating discovery, but it’s not as wondrous as it appears. Very few animals have useful things to say, as they do not experience the world as we do. We will still listen to what they say, though, as you never know when you will need the advice of a frog or directions from a chicken.
Lucas put a gentle hand on the cow next to the house. “Moo.” Translation: (All cows, no matter what they’re thinking, go, “Moo.” It’d be handy to remember that.)
As you can see, not the most useful of information, but we can hold onto that bit of advice for now. If you’re still unconvinced, we can listen to a few others.
Two pigs stood next to each other in their pin, greeting Lucas as he walked by. “Oink oink.” Translation: (What the pig next to me says worries me…)
In response, the other pig oinks. Translation: (Don’t worry about it.)
I rest my case.
Lucas continued on, making his way to his brother. In the clearing, the red headed boy stood at the ready in front of a very large looking dinosaur creature, with two others off to the side. These were the Dragos, while scary and tough looking, they were gentle creatures and enjoyed playing with the twins. The largest of the three Dragos was relaxing and observing the others with a lazy eye. The smallest Drago stood excitedly by his mother, waiting for his turn to play with the boy.
Claus, who hadn’t seen Lucas enter the clearing, ran at the second largest Drago, shoving her down. After a beat, in a dramatic fashion, the Drago fell to the ground, having lost the battle to the small child. Once she spotted Lucas, she stood back up.
Claus huffed and gasped, tired from having played with the Dragos for a while. “Whew, I’m beat. I’ve been play fighting with the Dragos all morning. You should play too, Lucas. Here, try ramming into a Drago.”
If it wasn’t apparent, dear Reader, this is a tutorial moment, where the player learns how to dash. Since dashing is not something you will have to know how to do to continue this story, I will give you a summary and the dialog.
As Lucas prepares himself to run at the mama Drago, the boys are interrupted by Alec.
“Claus! Lucas still doesn’t know how to ram into things yet,” Alec yells before meandering into the clearing. “Lucas! Try to imagine a thing called a B Button! And then hold that B Button for a second, then let go. Doing this will let you “dash”. And by using this “dash” ability, you can ram into that Drago there! Claus! Show him an example!”
Lucas steps out of the way for his brother. Claus backs up, I suppose he holds the B Button for a second, then let’s go, ramming into the Drago from before. The Drago falls over a second later.
“Yes! Just like that! Now it’s your turn, Lucas! Give it a try!”
Well, dear Reader, I guess we shall try to imagine this B Button, hold it, and let it go so Lucas can ram into the Drago. What is there to lose?
“You’ll never succeed with such a sullen look on your face. That holds true for anything. Just relax!”
I feel we could do without the snarky commentary, grandpa.
Lucas does the same as his brother, dashing into the Drago. The Drago falls over the same as before, in a dramatic fashion.
“The harder you run into them, the more the Dragos like it,” Claus mentions with a smile on his face. With the amount of practice he’s had with the Dragos, the red headed brother would know best.
Luckily, dear Reader, that is the end of the tutorial and—
“Move it! Outta the way! Make way for the great Mole Cricket!”
*sigh* Of course, the Mole Cricket is here to prove his strength and showcase the battle tutorial. Excuse the delay, dear Reader, it’s best to allow the Mole Cricket to complete his mission. Much more annoying otherwise.
The boys step out of the way as the Mole Cricket runs up towards the mama Drago. Scared by the yelling and the sudden movement, the baby Drago hops behind his mother. The papa Drago continues to observe, nonchalant in his resting. The mama Drago responds to her baby’s distress by entering a combat stance and growling, while the baby roars adorably.
“I can’t just sit idly by when I hear someone’s play-fighting! I’m gonna wipe the floor with all of you! Get in my way and you’re in for a world of pain!”
You encountered the Mole Cricket!
The battle system in MOTHER 3, is similar to other Game Boy Advance games, a turn based system where order depends on the speed of the character and the enemies. For each battle, you have the option to Bash, use your Goods, Guard, or attempt to Run. Experience Points (EP) and items are given at the end of the battle.
Something that sets MOTHER 3 apart is that during attacks, you can continue combos by pressing the Attack Button on the beat of the background music playing. Background music changes depending on the enemy and gets harder as the game continues. Each character also has a distinctive instrument that plays as the player hits the beat correctly.
Another unique feature is that damage is not taken all at once. Health Points (HP) show as a number and starts to run down after the attack lands. This means that if a character takes fatal damage, there is still time to heal them if the turns play out fast enough. Guarding slows down the HP counter as it continues to take the attack.
It does not take many attacks to take down the Mole Cricket.
“I see you have more of a spine than I thought. If you’d like, I could train you personally sometime. Next time we meet, it’ll be at the big Mole Cricket Hole Stadium! I look forward to seein’ you there! …Bro.”
The mole cricket scurries off, only to take more damage before disappearing from sight. Hinawa, with a concerned look on her face, approaches the group.
“I stepped on a mole cricket. I hope it’s all right… Lunch is ready, everyone. I made your favorite, boys. Donuts!”
“Ooh! Lunch, lunch! Donuts!!” Claus yells before taking off with his brother in tow towards the house.
“You too, Dad.” Hinawa turns with a smile on her face, heading back towards the house.
Alec stays behind, lingering in the clearing. “Well, then…”
This old man is going to continue to do my job for me, isn’t he?
“Listen folks… Here is how to “save”. Talk to frogs. This is how you “save”. It’s not too tedious or troublesome, so you should talk to frogs as often as you can. Plus, saving is absolutely free. Now then, it’s time for me to return to the story.
“Hey, wait for me! You saved me some Donuts too, I hope?!” Alec yells as he catches up with his family.
Inside the house, the boys and Hinawa sit around the table, eating Hinawa’s delicious Donuts. Alec prepares his own plate.
“What’s your favorite food, Mom?” Claus asks with a mouth full of food. “Oh? Donuts? Then your favorite is the same as ours? We make a good match!”
Hinawa smiled brightly, with love in her eyes. “After we’re done eating, we need to get ready to go home. We have to go through the forest to get back, so we’ll need to leave early.”
Alec turns towards his daughter. “Don’t be silly. I bet the kids could make it here on their own, it’s that safe. I bet even you could handle it, Lucas! Hahahaha!” Lucas made a noise, upset but unable to refute his grandfather.
Frowning, Hinawa gave a look of disappointment to her father before standing up, taking the note she had written earlier with her, and heading for the door.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Dear Flint, Just like you said they would, the children have been running around the mountains and fields tirelessly since the moment we arrived. Claus is as daring and full of energy as ever, while Lucas is still a bit coddled. But neither one seems tired of playing at all. My father seems sad to say goodbye to his grandchildren after seeing them for the first time in so long, but we should be home by this evening. I had forgotten how nice and refreshing the mountain air is. You’re always covered in the smell of sheep back in Tazmily Village, so I really wish you could have been here to take in this air The next time we visit, let’s ask one of our neighbors to tend to the sheep so we can all come up here as a family. Claus, Lucas, and I were always thinking about you. When we get home this evening, I’ll start cooking some of your favorite Donuts right away. With love, your dearest Hinawa
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Hinawa attaches the note to a bird that will deliver it to Flint before the group can make it back home. The bird flies south, its wings spreading in the sunlight. Hinawa steps out a bit further on the porch and watches the bird fly off for a moment, soaking in the peacefulness of the moment. Once satisfied, she turned back toward the door, ready to wrangle the twins into leaving.
With her hand on the doorknob, Hinawa stops, frozen. It’s as if every part of her instincts are telling her something is wrong, there is danger near. It’s a terrible feeling, one you get in your gut that spreads to your whole body within moments. From behind the house, she hears a strange noise, a melody that she’s never heard of, and it’s approaching quickly.
A circular shadow crosses in front of the house and the music becomes distorted as it vanishes deeper into the forest. Hinawa watched with cautious curiosity, a breeze blowing her hair back behind her. Nothing about it seemed immediately dangerous but it was certainly a cause for concern. The Ultimate Guide to Dog Vitamins for Health, Energy, and Longevity
Tumblr media
As a dog owner, your top priority is ensuring your furry companion stays healthy, energetic, and happy. While providing a balanced diet is crucial, it’s not always enough to meet all of your dog’s nutritional needs. This is where dog vitamin come in. Just like humans, dogs require a variety of vitamins and minerals to maintain optimal health. Supplementing their diet with the right vitamins can help support their immune system, improve their skin and coat, enhance their energy levels, and promote longevity.
In this ultimate guide, we will explore the essential vitamins your dog needs for optimal health and longevity, and how to choose the best multivitamins for your pet.
Why Are Dog Vitamins Important?
Dogs, like humans, need a balanced mix of nutrients to function at their best. While high-quality dog food is often fortified with vitamins, some dogs may still suffer from deficiencies due to factors such as age, breed, health conditions, or the quality of their diet.
Dog vitamins are crucial because they fill any gaps in your pet's nutrition, helping to support vital bodily functions, improve their overall well-being, and prevent nutritional deficiencies. Whether you're feeding your dog a raw, homemade, or commercial diet, supplements can provide the extra boost they need to stay healthy, active, and comfortable.
The Essential Vitamins for Your Dog
Here’s a look at the key vitamins that support various aspects of your dog’s health:
1. Vitamin A: Vision and Skin Health
Vitamin A is an essential fat-soluble vitamin that plays a significant role in maintaining your dog’s eye health, immune system, and skin. It is vital for healthy vision, particularly in low-light conditions, and supports healthy skin and coat. A deficiency in vitamin A can lead to dry, flaky skin, hair loss, and night blindness.
Sources of vitamin A include liver, egg yolks, and fish oil. Many commercial multivitamins include this essential vitamin to help maintain your dog’s vision, skin, and coat health.
2. B-Vitamins: Energy and Metabolism
The B-vitamin complex includes several important vitamins such as B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B6 (Pyridoxine), B12 (Cobalamin), and folic acid. These vitamins play a vital role in supporting energy production, metabolism, and the nervous system. They help convert food into usable energy and are essential for the healthy development of your dog’s muscles, brain, and nervous system.
Dogs that lack B-vitamins may show signs of lethargy, poor appetite, or digestive problems. Many high-quality dog foods and multivitamins include B-vitamins to ensure your dog maintains optimal energy levels and metabolic function.
3. Vitamin C: Immune Support and Antioxidant Protection
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports the immune system, reduces inflammation, and aids in tissue repair. It is also essential for the production of collagen, which helps maintain healthy joints and skin. While dogs can produce vitamin C naturally, additional supplementation can support their immune system, especially in times of stress or illness.
Vitamin C can be found in fruits such as oranges, strawberries, and blueberries, and is often included in multivitamin supplements for extra immune support.
4. Vitamin D: Bone Health and Immune Function
Vitamin D is crucial for calcium absorption, which helps to maintain strong bones and teeth. It also plays a role in supporting the immune system and reducing inflammation. While dogs can produce vitamin D when exposed to sunlight, some may not get enough due to limited outdoor activity or medical conditions that affect vitamin D metabolism.
Vitamin D is typically found in fish, egg yolks, and liver, and is often added to multivitamins to support bone health and immune function.
5. Vitamin E: Skin, Coat, and Antioxidant Benefits
Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and supports skin, coat, and immune health. It aids in maintaining a shiny, healthy coat and can reduce skin irritation and dryness. Vitamin E also supports the cardiovascular system and helps with the healing of wounds.
For dogs with skin sensitivities or dull coats, a supplement with vitamin E can help restore skin health and provide a glossy, vibrant coat.
6. Vitamin K: Blood Clotting and Bone Health
Vitamin K plays an essential role in blood clotting, helping to prevent excessive bleeding. It also contributes to bone health by supporting calcium metabolism and bone mineralization. Vitamin K deficiencies are rare in dogs but can lead to abnormal bleeding and weakened bones.
This vitamin is typically found in leafy greens, liver, and fish, and can be included in a multivitamin to support your dog’s blood clotting ability and bone health.
Additional Nutrients in Dog Multivitamins
In addition to the essential vitamins mentioned above, some dog multivitamins also contain minerals, omega fatty acids, and other ingredients that can further enhance your dog’s health:
Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids: Essential for skin, coat, and joint health. Omega-3 fatty acids also help reduce inflammation and support brain function.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin: These compounds support joint health and help prevent or manage arthritis in dogs, especially older dogs or large breeds.
Probiotics: Beneficial bacteria that support gut health and digestion.
Biotin: Supports healthy skin and coat growth, reducing shedding and skin irritation.
How to Choose the Best Dog Vitamins
When selecting dog vitamins, it’s important to consider your dog’s specific needs. Here are some factors to consider:
Age and Health Status: Puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs have different nutritional needs. Senior dogs may require vitamins that support joint health and energy levels, while puppies need vitamins that promote growth and development.
Breed and Size: Some dog breeds are prone to specific health issues, such as joint problems in larger breeds or skin conditions in small breeds. Choose a vitamin supplement that addresses their unique needs.
Ingredients: Look for high-quality ingredients that are free from artificial colors, preservatives, and fillers. Opt for natural ingredients when possible to ensure your dog is getting the best nutrition.
Veterinary Guidance: Always consult your veterinarian before starting your dog on a new supplement regimen. They can recommend the best vitamins for your dog based on their specific health needs.
Conclusion
Providing your dog with the right vitamins is essential for supporting their overall health, energy, and longevity. A well-balanced dog multivitamin can help fill any nutritional gaps, promote healthy skin and coat, boost energy levels, and support joint health. Whether your dog is a puppy, adult, or senior, there are multivitamin options designed to meet their specific needs.
Choosing the best multivitamin for your dog involves understanding their unique health requirements and selecting a high-quality product that contains the right blend of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. With the right supplementation, you can help your dog live a longer, healthier, and more vibrant life. Always consult with your veterinarian to ensure you're giving your dog the best possible care and nutrition.

Homemade Dog Training Treats: A Simple Guide for Pet Owners
Training your dog can be both a rewarding and challenging experience. One effective way to motivate your pup during training sessions is by using treats as positive reinforcement. While store-bought treats are convenient, they can be expensive and filled with preservatives, artificial flavors, and excessive calories. Making homemade dog training treats allows you to control the ingredients and ensure your dog is getting something healthy, tasty, and perfectly sized for training rewards.
In this guide, we'll share some benefits of homemade dog treats and a few simple recipes to get you started.
Why Choose Homemade Dog Training Treats?
 Healthier Ingredients
When you make treats at home, you have full control over what goes into them. You can avoid unnecessary additives, chemicals, and excessive sugars often found in commercial treats. By selecting fresh, natural ingredients, you’ll provide your dog with snacks that are not only delicious but also nutritious.
 Cost-Effective
Homemade treats are often more affordable in the long run. The ingredients you need, such as peanut butter, oats, or sweet potatoes, are inexpensive and easy to find. Many recipes require just a few simple items that you may already have in your pantry.
 Customizable for Dietary Needs
If your dog has food allergies or sensitivities, making homemade treats allows you to cater to those needs. You can choose ingredients that suit your dog’s specific dietary requirements, ensuring they stay healthy while enjoying a special snack.
 Smaller Portion Sizes for Training
Training treats need to be small and bite-sized to keep your dog’s focus without filling them up too quickly. When you make your own treats, you can control the size and portion according to your dog’s training needs.
Easy Homemade Dog Training Treat Recipes
Here are a couple of simple recipes you can try at home. They are nutritious, easy to make, and perfect for rewarding your pup during training sessions.
Peanut Butter and Oat Training Bites
Ingredients:
1 cup of rolled oats
½ cup of peanut butter (make sure it doesn’t contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
1 ripe banana
1 egg (optional for added protein)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mash the banana in a bowl, then mix in the peanut butter and oats.
Add the egg if you’d like, which can make the bites firmer and easier to handle.
Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized balls or press into a pan and cut into squares.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the treats cool completely before serving them to your dog.
Sweet Potato Dog Chews
Ingredients:
1 large sweet potato
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
Wash the sweet potato thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds or strips.
Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 2-3 hours, turning them halfway through, until they are dried and chewy.
Let the chews cool before offering them to your dog.
Tips for Storing Homemade Treats
Since homemade dog training treats recipes don’t contain preservatives, they won’t last as long as store-bought varieties. It’s essential to store them properly to maintain freshness. Treats made with ingredients like peanut butter or oats should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge, where they will last for up to two weeks. You can also freeze them for longer storage—just thaw a few at a time when you need them.
Final Thoughts
Making your own dog training treats is an excellent way to show your dog love while ensuring they’re consuming healthy snacks. With just a few ingredients and a little time, you can create delicious, nutritious treats that will keep your dog happy and motivated during training. Not only will your dog appreciate the tasty rewards, but you'll also enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly what they’re eating.

Want a Healthy Pet? Find Out the Best Dog Food Options!
Tumblr media
Introduction
Your dog’s health starts with what’s in their bowl. Just like humans, dogs thrive on a diet that meets their nutritional needs. But with so many choices available, finding the best dog food can feel like an overwhelming task. From dry kibble to raw diets, there are numerous options to consider. This article will guide you through the best dog food options so you can make the right choice for your furry friend.
Why Choosing the Right Dog Food Matters
Feeding your dog the right food isn’t just about keeping them full—it’s about keeping them healthy. Just like us, dogs need a balanced diet to stay energetic, maintain a healthy weight, and avoid illnesses. Good nutrition impacts their coat, skin, digestion, and even mood. The right diet can increase your dog's lifespan and overall happiness.
Importance of Balanced Nutrition for Dogs
Each dog has different needs depending on their size, age, and activity level. A well-balanced diet provides the essential nutrients that their body needs to function optimally. Too much or too little of certain nutrients can lead to obesity, lethargy, or even long-term health issues like diabetes and heart disease.
Long-Term Health Benefits of Proper Diet
A nutritious diet is key to long-term health. Dogs who eat high-quality food are more likely to avoid conditions like joint problems, skin irritations, and digestive issues. Proper nutrition also supports a strong immune system, giving your pet a better chance to fight off illnesses.
Understanding Dog Nutritional Needs
Before diving into the best dog food options, it’s important to understand what nutrients your dog requires. Here’s a breakdown:
Key Nutrients Every Dog Needs Protein – Vital for muscle development and overall growth. Look for foods that list meat, poultry, or fish as the first ingredient.Fats: Maintain the luster of your dog's coat and provide him vitality. It's important to consu
good fats like omega-3 and omega-6.
. Carbohydrates – Offer energy and aid digestion. Sources like sweet potatoes, brown rice, and oats are good choices. Vitamins and Minerals – Support everything from bone health to metabolism. Look for a food that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables for a well-rounded vitamin profile. Types of Dog Food Available Now that we know what nutrients are essential, let’s look at the different types of dog food available.
Dry Kibble
The most common and convenient dog food. It’s affordable, has a long shelf life, and is good for your dog’s teeth as it helps scrape off plaque.
Wet Food Canned dog food is more palatable and offers more hydration. It’s a great choice for dogs with dental issues or those who are picky eaters.
Raw Food Diet
Some pet owners swear by raw diets, which include raw meat, bones, fruits, and vegetables. However, this diet requires careful planning to ensure nutritional balance.
Homemade Dog Food
Cooking your dog’s meals can give you complete control over the ingredients. However, it’s crucial to consult with a vet or a pet nutritionist to ensure your dog is getting the necessary nutrients.
Best Dog Food for Puppies
Puppies have different nutritional needs compared to adult dogs. Their bodies are growing rapidly, so they need more protein and fat.
Nutritional Needs of Puppies
Look for puppy food with higher protein and fat content to support growth. Omega-3 fatty acids are also essential for brain and vision development.
Top Recommended Puppy Food Brand
Hill’s Science Diet Puppy – Great for overall health and growth. Blue Buffalo Life Protection Puppy – Contains real meat and whole grains for balanced nutrition. Royal Canin Puppy – Formulated for small, medium, and large breed puppies to meet specific needs. Best Dog Food for Adult DogsWhen your dog gets older, their dietary requirements alter. They don’t require as many calories, and their food should focus on maintenance.
How Adult Dog Nutrition Differs from Puppies
Adult dogs need a balance of protein, fats, and carbs, but not in the same high amounts as puppies. Keeping them at a healthy weight becomes the priority.
Best Brands for Adult Dogs
Orijen Original – High in protein with a mix of fresh meats. Wellness Core Grain-Free – Perfect for dogs with grain allergies, packed with protein and antioxidants. Purina Pro Plan – A trusted brand with options for different sizes and activity levels. Best Dog Food for Senior Dogs As dogs age, their metabolism slows, and they may need fewer calories but more joint-supporting nutrients like glucosamine.
Understanding Senior Dog Needs
Senior dogs often need food that supports their joints and digestion. They may also benefit from lower-calorie options to prevent weight gain.
Recommended Brands for Aging Dogs
Blue Buffalo Life Protection Senior – Contains glucosamine for joint support. Nutro Ultra Senior – Offers lean proteins and whole grains for senior dogs. Hill’s Science Diet Senior – A vet-recommended brand that supports healthy aging. Grain-Free vs. Grain-Inclusive Dog Food There’s a lot of debate around grain-free dog food. Is it healthier, or is it just a trend?
Understanding the Debate
Grain-free diets became popular for dogs with allergies, but recent studies suggest a possible link between grain-free diets and heart disease.
Benefits and Risks of Both Options
Grain-inclusive diets often provide more balanced nutrition unless your dog has a specific allergy. Consult your vet if you’re unsure which is best for your pet.
Specialty Dog Foods for Health Issues Some dogs' medical issues require them to follow particular diets.
Dog Foods for Allergies
If your dog has food allergies, you’ll need to look for limited-ingredient or hypoallergenic formulas, such as Natural Balance LID.
Dog Foods for Weight Management
For overweight dogs, choose low-calorie, high-fiber options like Hill’s Science Diet Perfect Weight.
Dog Foods for Digestive Issues Dogs with sensitive stomachs may benefit from foods with easily digestible ingredients, like Royal Canin Digestive Care.
Raw Food Myth Many believe grain-free diets are healthier, but unless your dog has a specific grain allergy, there’s no evidence that grains are harmful. In fact, whole grains like brown rice and oats can provide important nutrients.
Some think raw food is always better, but this diet comes with risks. If not prepared and balanced correctly, it can lead to nutritional deficiencies and foodborne illnesses.
Organic Dog Food Myth
While organic dog food might sound like the best option, the term “organic” doesn't always mean it's more nutritious. It's important to focus on the overall ingredient quality and nutritional content, not just whether something is labeled organic.
Homemade Dog Food: Is It Worth the Effort?
Cooking for your dog might seem like a great way to ensure they're getting top-quality food, but it can be challenging to provide a balanced diet on your own.
Nutritional Balance Concerns
Dogs need a carefully balanced mix of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. It can be difficult to replicate this balance in a homemade diet without the help of a vet or pet nutritionist.
Safety Tips for Homemade Food
If you do decide to make your dog’s food, be sure to avoid ingredients like onions, garlic, chocolate, and grapes, which are toxic to dogs. Always consult your vet to make sure your homemade meals meet your dog’s nutritional needs.
Conclusion
Whether you opt for dry kibble, wet food, a raw diet, or homemade meals, the key is ensuring that your dog’s nutritional needs are met. Always read labels, consult with your vet, and monitor your dog’s response to their food. A healthy diet will keep your pet happy, energetic, and living their best life.
FAQs
1. How do I know if my dog is allergic to certain foods?
If your dog is scratching excessively, experiencing digestive upset, or developing skin irritations, it could be a sign of a food allergy. Common allergens include chicken, beef, and grains. Consult your vet for allergy testing.
2. Should I switch my dog to grain-free food?
Unless your dog has a confirmed grain allergy, there’s usually no need to switch to grain-free food. Grains can provide important nutrients and fiber that support healthy digestion.
3. How much should I feed my dog?
Most dog food packages include feeding guidelines, but it's best to consult with your vet to determine the proper amount.
4. Can I mix wet and dry dog food?
Yes, mixing wet and dry food can provide the best of both worlds. Wet food offers more moisture and palatability, while dry kibble helps maintain dental health. Just ensure the combined portions meet your dog’s daily caloric needs.
5. How often should I change my dog’s food?
It’s not necessary to change your dog’s food frequently unless they have specific dietary needs or health issues. If you do decide to switch, do so gradually to avoid digestive upset.
