Restless inside the age of paranoia, he walked over to his desk against the  wall of his room and sat down on the chair. He doesn’t open his laptop, but  instead planted his face on top of it inside the corner of his elbow and sighs.  It takes all but four seconds for his head to rise again, opening his laptop. The skin of his face is falling off. The light doesn’t match the shade. He see’s  himself, externally, in an isometric perspective.  

He doesn’t believe in bleeding anymore. Or open wounds. The fight will only  become hostile if you meet it halfway.  

He wanted to step away from it—learn how to shut his eyes again.  Attempting to find the equilibrium of logic and intuition is much easier on  paper written in razorblades. When the symmetrical lines forfeit vibration the  only absolute is where one forcibly exists. But he didn’t believe in absolutes.  So what did he believe in exactly? Did he have hope or faith? What’s the  difference. Since the inception of his adulthood there were a barrage of  personas he had taken over. Any one shaped and molded for a variety of  situations and outcomes (the one’s for workplaces the most recoiled of them  all).

Article 8 - Family Code

Article 8. The marriage shall be solemnized publicly in the chambers of the judge or in open court, in the church, chapel or temple, or in the office of the consul-general, consul or vice-consul, as the case may be, and not elsewhere, except in cases of marriages contracted at the point of death or in remote places in accordance with Article 29 of this Code, or where both of the parties request the solemnizing officer in writing in which case the marriage may be solemnized at a house or place designated by them in a sworn statement to that effect. Explanation:

The provision states that there should be publicity of the marriage because it is of interest to society and in order that any impediment to the marriage may be made known at the very moment of its celebration. However, as publicity is not an essential requisite, a violation of this provision will not render the marriage void.

Also, it explains that even as the law requires that the marriage ceremony be made public as it must be done publicly in the chambers of the judge, or in open court, in the church, chapel or temple, yet, if there is a written request of the parties that it be solemnized elsewhere in a sworn statement, the same can be done.

An example is a situation where the parties requested that it be solemnized at a function room of the Manila Hotel, then, it can be solemnized therein.

Again, even if there is no such request, or even if it is not in writing or is not in a sworn statement, still the marriage is valid as such requisite is not an essential one. The total absence of the same does not go into the validity of the marriage.

Example:

Let us say for example that the marriage of A and B was solemnized by the mayor at the town plaza without any request and during the period of the political campaign, the marriage is valid provided that all the essential requisites are present. Even if no request was made, it is still valid as the failure to comply with that formal requirement does not affect the validity of the marriage.

FACTS:

Municipal Mayor of Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Rodolfo G. Navarro filed a complaint on two specific acts committed by respondent Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Hernando Domagtoy on the grounds of gross misconduct, ineffiency in offce and ignorance of the law.

It was alleged that Domagtoy solemnized marriage of Gaspar Tagadan and Arlyn Borja on September 27, 1994 despite the knowledge that the groom has a subsisting marriage with Ida Penaranda and that they are merely separated. It was told that Ida left their conjugal home in Bukidnon and has not returned and been heard for almost seven years.   The said judge likewise solemnize marriage of Floriano Dadoy Sumaylo and Gemma G. del Rosario outside his court’s jurisdiction on October 27, 1994.  The judge holds his office and has jurisdiction in the Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Sta Monica-Burgos, Surigao del Norte but he solemnized the said wedding at his residence in the municipality of Dapa located 40 to 50 km away.

ISSUE: Whether or not the marriages solemnized were void.

HELD:

The court held that the marriage between Tagadan and Borja was void and bigamous there being a subsisting marriage between Tagadan and Penaranda.  Albeit, the latter was gone for seven years and the spouse had a well-founded belief that the absent spouse was dead, Tagadan did not institute a summary proceeding as provided in the Civil Code for the declaration of presumptive death of the absentee, without prejudice to the effect of reappearance of the absent spouse.

With regard to the marriage of Sumaylo and Del Rosario, the latter only made the written request where it should have been both parties as stated in Article 8 of the Family Code.  Their non-compliance did not invalidate their marriage however, Domagtoy may be held administratively liable.

i just cannot handle the fact that like i have been so uninspired to write anything? i've written a lot of fanfiction shit and that's really fun but i haven't done any script stuff in a while and thats very frustrating.

also? the meds i was on before (lamictal) gave me a rash that has, so far, lasted longer than i was even taking it and its just almost like really bad eczema which is fine but it has gone all the way to my eyelid??? and thats not fair. and my new meds (abilify) are like 6x as expensive as anything i've ever had to pay for. and i have really good insurance so thats also very annoying (and not what should define whether or not i can afford meds but thats a much longer conversation for another day). it also makes one cocktail feel like fifty. it also also dehydrates you and apparently the 2 liters of water i drink a day religiously doesn’t compensate at all so i have spent the last two days feeling like i’ve had the flu because of the stomach issues that come with being super dehydrated.

also i'm trying to quit using my juul but its been 7 years now since i started using nicotine and nicorette is very handy but i have weak fuckin jaws so thats also a struggle. quitting cigarettes was so easy! they’re gross and they made me smell bad. the juul is looooooovely. and insanely addictive. i don't know.

it's just very tiring to be ~mentally ill. at least when i was going into an offce every day i had a distraction but now i just sit in bed all day long and have to fight the urge to just absolutely lose it. and my apartment is so drafty and it’s been so cold my fingers go numb at night from the cold.

i just miss being home. i miss albany. living in nyc is cool (especially when there isn’t a pandemic) and was all i wanted growing up but i haven’t seen my mom or stepdad or dog in a year. i just want to go back to the mountains and back to the farms and get away from the subway and the crowded city shit. just for a weekend. i miss miss miss every part of my life before everything fell apart.

Week 6: Non-Teaching Week

My undertanding of the video shows that Informing design, which I  believe is allowing consumers to undertsand the concpet of a design in a simple from is a major factor of model making.  According to Andrew, model making reinforces scale and I couldn’t agree more. Being able to pysically hold a model in front of you and testing it’s funtionality allowes consumers to undertand the scale of whether it too big or too small or even out of place. I  also understood that prototypes which is generally made form models or 3d prints are made to confirm various apsect which can be size or constrcution method in quick CAD. Protoyping is valuable to designers are it gives them to opportunity to have multiple trials with makeup mateirals in order to detect patterns and layouts before a final assemple of the product therefore ensuring accuracy in products. In the process of model making andrew helps us undetand that it assits us in our choice of tools and machinery. From watching the video I took note on the vital role model making in design process as well as how valuable it is to designers

Home maker space

FIG.1 is a a top view of my home maker space. The table is spacious and gives room for all my equipments as well as working room. On table I have my basic tools aswell my laptop. I have a multisocet on the side of my table which allowes me to charch my laptop while working. In FiG 2 - FIG. 4 the images are more detail and shows my desk and a space for office chair. This offce chair allows me to work in my spce comfortably. On the left side of the table I have a draw at then top and a cabinet at the bottom. These two spaces are very essential in my learning as it alows me to pack my books and important document into the cabinet expecially and the draws mostly stores things such as Paints. 

Cube exercise

FIG.5 was my first trial in making the 45 degree edges. In my first trial, most of the angles were crooked and not cut acutelty each side, so some sides were 45 and some were either less more more. This week I had a problem with my box cutter as it was not sharp so it affected the accuracy of my cutting. FIG.6 was my second trail which was smaller in size and turned out a bit bit better than the first one even though it wasn’t fully accurate.  FIG. 7 and 8 are the final outcome of the cube. Most sides joined were joined well. Howveer, i wasn’t too pleased with the constrcutioon method especially using the tape. I did’t have access to masking tape so I had to use a clear packing tape which was not very helpful as it wasn’t strong enough to hold the box in place while the glue dried. I l also used an old foam core so it doesn’t make the box look appealing as it should be. overall moving from paper to working woth our hands this week was very refreshing
