Page 8. ---- Win-the-War Committee Will Question Citizens About Training ---- PLAN WIDE CANVASS ---- Brampton, April 1 - "Are you interested in taking a course in guerrilla warfare?" This is one of the 29 questions embodied in a questionnaire drawn up here last night by the Brampton Win-the-War committee. At the special meeting under F. W. Wegenast, head of the enrolment committee, it was decided to canvass the entire town on the questionnaire in the near future.

"This is the most intensive questionnaire drawn up for use in this country so far," he said. The questionnaire asks capabilities. education, profession, and religious denomination of every citizen, with a view to utmost preparedness in the area in the event of military. labor. or other emergency. C. V. Charters and T. H. Moorehead were named a committee to investigate means of conducting the canvass and to recommend a date for the effort.

A suggestion that those interested in guerrilla warfare tactics be sounded out, came from Dr. R. J. Hiscox and met with full approval of the meeting. A question recommended by Rev. A. N. Miller stressed the local housing problem, and was also included among the 29 queries is one asking "Can you drive a car, truck, motorbike, steam or diesel engine, tractor, drive a team of horses, ride a horse, operate a dredge, or fly a plane?"

"No country has used to much imagination in what people should be prepared to do in the event of necessity." Mr. Wegenast emphasized. He referred as an instance to the capture of Rudolph Hess by a Scottish farmer armed with only a pitchfork. "That farmer wasn't expecting Hess, or he would have been more adequately prepared for him," the chairman added, warning against non-preparedness.

With a view to locating potential scouts and guides through the canvass. the meeting fully approved the question, "Are you familiar with the topography of any section of Peel county?" in line with the committee's desire to help cope with the district farm labor shortage is the question inquiring into the agricultural experience of citizens.
