Damn, I didn't realise how hysterical some people are about fiction portraying any kind of controversial topics, like as if the only reason to like/create/engage with that kind of fiction is because of being some kind of sick sadistic maniac and NO other reasons, as everything else is "an excuse to be creepy"

What the hell

What do those people even like? Stories with no conflict based entirely within perfect society and clear division between "good" and "bad" people? Like seriously, how can you be so puritan about fiction depicting anything but "good" and "unproblematic" things, what do you even read/watch? How can you turn into this kind of a moralistic prude living in the same kind of world we all live in? How could this happen?

And the thing that scares me about that kind of worldview is how easily they dehumanise everyone who doesn't fit their standards of being "unproblematic". Like, if there's even one thing about the person that isn't completely aligned with their moral demands, it is no human in their book anymore, but someone deserving of all the worst things happening to them, and anyone who sympathizes with them in any capacity is equally guilty
