More vinnie au rambles?

Of course! But hngggh, that leaves me with a lot of options of what I could tell. *Checks list* do I tell you about his childhood? His mother? His sister? His dad? More general headcanons? How I headcanon him with fear of needless and fake blood BUT not real one? Okay, there's not that much here actually. I guess I shall give you mine "Vinnie - the backstory" headcanon, that I will tell more like a story than a list of headcanons, though I have definitely already mentioned some of those things in other post, but it will be more detailed here, so don't mind if something repeats.

Okay so, he was born in Italy, Padua (that was one person on Deviantart's idea and I liked it). He had a father, mother that I named Diana and an older sister (like around 5 years older) that I can't decide whether I want to name Stephanie or Victoria. You know, Victoria because then they would have that cool thing when siblings have names starting with the same letter AND both with names that have that smart-sounding flare. But similarly to him, she would usually shorten it to a more causal sounding nickname and that would be Vicky. And in Stepanie's case it would be Steph.

So now, why do they have those elegant and smart sounding names? No, it's not a coincidence. Because their mother - Diana, really wanted to have just the best kids possible, the academically-best kind, the sort of that you think of when you imagine strict parents that push their ambitions onto their kids. Except that in this case it's just one parent. Their father that I can't decide on a name :< is the opposite really and does not like what Diana does.

So yeah, she's the kind that makes her kids take classes and followe strict rules rather than have fun and do kids stuff. That's why Vinnie sorta knows how to play piano and a violin in my headcanon. And once either of them started attending elementary school she of course wanted the best, flawless grades. Of course Stephanie (we will just call her that) being older went through all those things first.

But as I said, their father was not happy with that and saw how it affected his kids more and more, who he genuinely loved dearly and tried his best to be there for them. So, at one point after many fights he finally requested a divorce, hoping that he could take Vincent and Stephanie with him. They went through the process but unfortuantely for the kids and him Diana was granted custody of them mainly because she earned more and there for no verifiable proof for any sort of abuse. Now, their father still had all the rights and could visit them and see them as he pleased. Or he should be able to do that but wasn't. Diana took the kids (oh gosh she took the kids!) and moved to America, not wanting his influence on them. She's the more wealthy one, remember? So she was able, he was not.

And so time passed with Diana treating her kids like she has always been doing but they become older and grow increasingly sick of that treatment. Despite Stephanie being older, Vinnie was the one who snapped first. You see, he wasn't that good at this whole academic perfect child thing, so he had to put more effort into it while Stephanie although tired and unwilling was simply better at it. So yeah, he snapped and gradually stopped trying his best in school or any additional activities his mother made him attend (That's also the reason why he heavily dislikes school and any sort of education and rarely even tries to get good grades). That of course didn't make his mother happy, not at all. She tried to force him to do all those things but he was resilient. Eventually, unable to do anything about it she stopped but threw all her frustration at him since then and basically didn't treat him well at all. She would use physical abuse but not often, quite rarely really. It would usually be something like: locking him somewhere (the classic closet or a basement) or not letting him in the house or maybe not letting him get any food. That whole "starvation" made him develop a habit of searching through trash cans for food. Sure, it was gross at first but he got used to it and it was necessary.

Now, his sister seeing his resilience eventually snapped as well and stopped trying to satisfy her mother. Of course, Diana was mad at her as well, but most of her anger still was directed at Vinnie, because she thought that he influenced Stephanie's behavior, which was honestly true. That's why she didn't suffer as many consequences but still wasn't free from them. Also, her first big act of rebellion was dyeing her hair (she's a teenager at this point, like 15 years old). Her group of friends had this idea of everyone within it dyeing their hair a different color and she eventually agreed and dyed her hair green. Petty? Perhaps, but it was liberating for her. Vinnie seeing this was super fascinated and thought she looked cool with green hair. As you can probably already see he wanted to have such hair too. And although he was rather young, in rebellion to her mother strict ideas Stephanie agreed and dyed his hair herself.

Now at last the end. That is just one of the many possible solutions but if I'm in the good mood I give them that: as soon as Stephanie was old enough and had some money on her, she basically took Vinnie and they moved into a small house together. Maybe even their dad finally managed to get in contact with them and gave them some money so they could afford a pretty nice house.

Damn, that's longer than I thought it would be but hey, those sure are rambles. Imma head out >.>
