"I'm technically on mission... more or less." Bacchus answered with a soft smile on his delicate face and tucked a lock of his long, now golden and lilac hair behind one ear, his appearance way more human than what he'd have at Oa, no golden marks all over his body or galaxy pattern going from the tips of his fingers to his elbows, same for the ones on his feet, the only thing that remained the same was his eyes, ome green and one blue. "You should get acquainted to Earthlings' culture and behaviors, that's what the council said." He shrugged.
Since he wasn't allowed to float around, it was easier to see how short he was, the top of his head could hardly hit Hal's collar bones line, and without armor of any kind, Bacchus was mostly flesh and bones, defined, but not enough to look manly.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything. You looked quite uncomfortable with that lady all over you." He nodded at her direction, discretely. "You were making a face that exclaimed S.O.S, so I stepped in — looking like a girl can be useful at times."

💙;; "Seriously, I am so sorry-" Blaize was frantic as she immediately took to the air, hovering up to be at eye-level with her fellow Lantern and inspect the damage. "I swear I'm usually not so jumpy, I didn't mean to..."
Great, there was a bit of a bruise coming up... but there was a bit of an advantage here, as Blaize soon realized. She was a Blue Lantern, he was a Green... when put together, even passively, their Power Rings powered each other up, and thus unlocked her healing capabilities.
💙;; "Here, let me at least ease it to make it up to you...?"

@hljxrdan wrote: Hal had a bit of a bad habit of playing the hero, even when it came to other heroes. The only problem with this was that underneath his suit, without the ring he was just a normal guy. It was fine until he hadn’t noticed one of the parademons that’d come up behind him when he’d lept in front of Barry to keep him from being overwhelmed, creating a shield between the speedster and the demons that surrounded him. His hand clutched his side where the sword had sliced him.
He had fallen to the ground as he’d fallen unconcious for a moment, only to wake up again with Barry holding him and the parademons gone and defeated. “M’ fine, promise,” he says, words slurred, despite the fact that he could clearly feel that he wasn’t fine. He wasn’t even sure he could focus enough right now to use his ring to seal up his wound until they were able to get somewhere where he could he patched up. It also didn’t help that the edges of his vision were going black but he was great at sounding confident in the most uncomfortable of situations from years of practice.
The good thing about parademons--if there was any good thing about parademons--was that there was no need to hold back with them. They were Darkseid’s mindless canon fodder, one small step up from robots. When Hal fell, Barry turned his head at the cry of pain. He watched his partner’s body start to crumple, saw the splash of scarlet as if it hung in the air. And lightning sparked in blue eyes, the speedster tearing through their enemies with a renewed ferocity. As Hal hit the ground, he was joined by dozens of parademons, the monsters slumping to the ground. Barry was just in time to stop Hal’s head from bouncing off of the pavement, cradling the brunet in his hands. “Lantern! Lan--Hal, Hal--stay with me, handsome.” He begged, his heart beating at a rate that made the beats run together in a continuous thrum. “Don’t go to sleep...you can’t go to sleep.” He glanced up, checking the status of the battlefield...but his mind was already made up. He would save his lover, even if it meant abandoning their comrades for the moments it would take to get him somewhere safe...somewhere he could be treated. “You--why would you...” He was already frantic with guilt, choking on the cloying, noxious taste of blood in the air.

"The excuse of being human doesn't work with me as I was born human." Bacchus chuckled. "The long story short is that my kin was on Earth way before humans, but they died due to disasters and corruption, their genetic making survived through some of their mixed descendants though and as time passed by, the traits disappeared until there was no difference between them and humans. My traits manifested when I was still young, capable of healing others and myself and of predicting the most probably future through the patterns of behavior one has, but this..." He pointed to himself as he was at that very moment. "... this here came from trauma and many years of recovery. My last days alive as a human were... painful. Chained to the bottom of a cargo ship, used, abused, the mercenaries that caught me even plucked my eyeballs out, and when the ship sank, I was left there, abandoned with it to the depths of the Aegean — I was barely twenty-two at the time."
There was no sorrow or regret in his voice as Bacchus talked of what happened to himself, of his life and past. He blamed no one for what happened, nor held any negative feelings or thoughts for it all, the past was in the past to him and all he could do with the knowledge left behind was to learn from it.
"The Council wants me to come back to live here, because in technical terms, Earth is my home." He shrugged and looked at the sky once they stepped outside. "I just haven't found a place for myself here yet, so I keep alternating places. Hence my pocket dimension. I can travel easily between Oa, here and Elpis from there."
Once Hal commented that he might have an idea of something interesting they can do, Bacchus cocks a brow and shirps up. "So there is some side of you that's not old yet." He teased and looked up at him. "I'm in your care, Mr. Jordan. Surprise me!"

"Is that how you see them?" He indicated the people in the bar and chuckled. "Maybe I can impart some wisdom into your head: learn the worst first, then, everything else will be fun and exciting. Besides, sketchy isn't necessarily bad, it only shows the conditions they've been living in."
Bacchus then turned to his water and had a sip from it, smiling happily as he watched the antics of the customers for some moments and then, turned back to Hal when he explained what he was doing there. In a way it fit well with what the short man heard about him, but didn't seem quite so good with his Green Lantern image, the way boasted made it feel like he was a big deal, but seeing the brunet in a run down bar like this put the whole act in a perspective Bacchus hadn't considered yet, that it was all just for show.
"Isn't being hit on good? I mean, she's a pretty woman after all and you aren't that bad looking, too." He shrugged and smiled playfully. "Alright, so what do you do in order to turn that frown upside down? What do you like to do? I heard from Guy that you're a pilot, or was it that you were? He talks a lot at times and I don't always get things right."

"So young and already out of energy to have fun in an universe full of things to discover." Bacchus sighed when he heard Hal say he didn't do much. "You sound like an old and boring man saying things like this. Too old for your own good. And I'm the one who's way above the two thousand years of life here."
In typical Blue Lantern fashion Bacchus really had a different way to look at things, not only because he didn't know much about Earth, his knowledge was that of a caged boy who spent most of his life trapped in a cave when he still lived there, but also, he didn't think there was such a thing as a topic that wasn't interesting and he wanted to learn everything.
"What about we make a deal? Instead of showing me an accurate view of Earthlings' culture, show me what you like." He smiled, but and stood by Hal's side, not taking his arm as it felt wrong to do so, even though it was offered — they were just coworkers, friends at best, so it didn't feel right to accept the gesture. "Make it fun for yourself!"

Bacchus frowned for a moment as he tried to understand the expression "one night stand", in his mind he imagined a walking nightstand and that made absolutely no sense in the context they were talking, so it took a couple of seconds for him to understand Hal meant coitus.
Then, when he mentioned how Guy was always talking, Bacchus chuckled. "He actually can handle silence, but it doesn't fit his style... and he probably doesn't share his silence with many people. He wants to protect everyone just as much as any other Corp, but he's... abrasive. Guy thinks if he calls attention to himself, his enemies will forget about his allies and focus on him. This way he keeps all the fire on him." The shorter one smiled as he explained. "It may be annoying to everybody else, but that's an effective strategy for short term conflicts. It's kind of like when one acts stupid to catch the attention of others."
"Anyways, you haven't answered my question. What do you do to have fun? Or to turn that frown of yours into a smile?" He pointed out and reached with his index finger for the spot between Hal's brows, tapping it lightly. "You'll end up with lots of wrinkles if you keep doing this face, probably be as wrinkly as the Council." It was his time to wink and laugh before pulling back and having some more of his water, then, decided to be a little more direct. "Show me what you do for fun? It's still early and I have nothing to do."

"Only weirdos?" Bacchus looked at the people inside, observed their faces and postures for maybe five seconds, then, turned back to Hal. "Does this mean you're a weirdo yourself? After all, you're here." Bacchus knew he, himself was strange, had always been, ever since his childhood, hence the reason his masters had locked him away in the depths of a cave and nevet let him outside or to have contact with other people.
Bacchus was more or less just wandering around the area when he walked into the bar, there was live music and the people didn't look too bad, sure, he looked a little out of place for looking like a girl with his skirt and loose shirt, but no one seemed to mind that too, at least they didn't stop him on the door, so he intended to make himself comfortable and enjoy the moment until he noticed Jordan on the corner.
"What are you doing here anyways? I see nothing forcing you to stay if you don't like the place." He asked after ordering a bottle of water with lemon. "And you seem clearly uncomfortable now... Was it something I did?"
