I appreciate that and like. I’m never going to just automatically dislike or have beef with someone just for liking h*zzie

but what frustrates me is that even though I only clapped back at them for shitting on one of the only crumbs of canon sapphic rep I got for Hope from that show, I get reduced to my worst moments when I was defending myself from people in their fandom that quite literally stalked me past a block and kept going when I made it clear at the time I had no issue with them or their ship

And it drives me insaaaane that they can do 1000x worse than any way I defended myself/returned the energy, and everyone in the fandom backs it up because hosie is just mass hated atp 😭 Like one of their biggest h*zzie accounts was outed for literally stalking Jenny Boyd by impersonating her family member and getting into their private accounts to steal pictures

And even despite shit like that, all of them continue to follow and support her even though she doubled down instead of apologizing or acknowledging even once that it was weird or a mistake. She also USED to ship hosie (her hosie manips are plastered all over the internet) and clearly is only spewing hatred/being weird about hosie’s queerbait because she’s upset about whatever ship wars went down and made her feel othered enough to join the h*zzie side. Which, I can understand being pushed to one side because yeah, same. but jesus christ? She’s just always saying shit that isn’t even true and then hating people who are new to the fandom space and have nothing to do with it and being mean to them with her friends, like

I tried to break the cycle but it doesn’t work because they keep being weirdos about queerbait and then I get hunted down and called toxic while LITERALLY ALL OF THEM 😭 sit on there and talk like that all fucking day. Mind you I clearly am not even an anti of their actual ship because I wrote fic for it and talked about it excitedly on my rewatch. I have stayed silent and positive for like..? Months now??

My issue is CLEARLY not the ship or ‘winning a war’, it’s that they’re nasty people? And they refuse to take any accountability and stop the cycle so nothing is gonna work atp

I’ve tried to bite my tongue and not vent about how they’ve treated all of this shit that went down with the show and queerbait, but if they’re gonna hate me even when I’m tame as fuck and actively trying to enjoy multiple ships, then fuck it I’m just gonna be honest

I think h*zzie could be a great fanon ship but unfortunately these people are CONVINCED it is canon when it literally is not and they will throw fits and contribute to bigger issues in the community regarding rep just because they can’t stand that other people (even casual viewers???) just did not think their ship happened in canon because it literally didn’t 😭 I legitimately saw them dogpiling a random casual viewer who was like “oh, really?” and (maybe even pleasantly) surprised about someone saying h*zzie on some discussion about legacies ships because they didn’t even realize it was a ship in the fandom because obviously it wasn’t made explicitly romantic in the show
