Why does it feel like kai restarts every season or smth?

like i enjoy his *hmphness* dont get me wrong, but for once i would enjoy to see one season end with kai's development and then that improved friendship continue to the beginning of the next season and then just keep improving ykwim?

I finally had a moment to sort out this very dumb comic-slash-meme-slash-whatever the hell this thingy is I did for deviantart back in 2013 (if I remember correctly). I mentioned already in another post that I recovered this and some other drawings from my old laptop. Back then I was too scared to post it - I was afraid of hate and bullying which I experienced in elementary school for this very reason. Well, it’s almost 10 years later and I don’t give a shit anymore. Also, I low key think these drawings are kinda hilarious. One of the panels (the one with stick) was even a short running inside joke between me and my friend (the only person who has seen this thing until now). Anyways, here goes:

Back then I didn’t wear glasses all the time so I used to draw myself without them pretty often. Now that I think about it, these drawings were beginnings of The Werosia Comic (a comic I sometimes draw and post randomly).

Hinata wanted to put her restless night behind her, with its disturbing dreams of deep places devoid of light and air, and that presence clawing, grasping for her, gurgling unintelligible words from a waterlogged throat.

Coming to terms with her father's death had not been easy, and in many ways Hinata wasn't there yet, but imagining that he was at peace, in Toomo's embrace, had been a source of comfort.

The possibility that may not actually be true was too awful to contemplate.

To take her mind off it, and since it was nearly the weekend, Hinata accepted Miko's offer for an outing at the local karaoke bar.

A nice, chill, stress-free evening.

Akari Hiwatari had been sitting at the bar since early that afternoon, downing one glass after another. As the evening wore on, the famous artist's mood soured by the hour, to the point where the other patrons had started giving her a wide berth.

Chiyo Nagata wasn't sure if it was the attitude, or the alcohol fumes rising off her which were putting people off the most.

A: "Pour me 'nother one of those. Then leave the bottle."

Chiyo bit her lip.

C: "I'm not sure you should be drinking any more right now, Hiwatari-sensei. How about I get you a nice, big glass of water -"

A: "Spare me the bartenderly concern and just get me my drink!"

C: "I'm sorry, sensei, but I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who comes in here."

"Listen, I'm just trying to look out for you."

Firstly, thank you @hiwataris-bitch for putting this together. We would not have this event without you. Ive been looking forward to this event since March.

Initially, I only planned to do like 10 days but slowly, the parasites inside of me festered into ideas. Including ones that seemed daunting and impossible. I really pushed on certain aspects for some of the art i created over the last two months. Different lighting, backgrounds, bitbeasts.

I got to draw all my otps and some new ships (including my Regina crack ships), and tsuki.

I really enjoy these types of events because I'm forced to think outside the box and out of my comfort characters. I wish we had more events throughout the year, but i understand why we dont.

idk i planned to write more but i am sleepy and probably wont revisit this before its posted. thank you everyone who interacted and enjoyed the art i created during mayblade.

When Lilacs are in Bloom - 2022 version

This was supposed to be part of MayBlade, but I’ve got lazy and also depression was being a bitch for me this year... I still have unfinished drawings from at least three other years that were supposed to be part of this series. It’s mostly shading that needs to be done. And since I have so many unfinished drawings and today is the last day of the year, I decided to finish at least one of them. Next year someone please kick my ass so I would finish the lilacs drawing for another MayBlade event.

Fun fact, I actually started this one in April so I’d have more time. Joke’s on me I guess.

Tyson proceeds to squint. Is he really reading this right or has he officially gone insane? “Hiwatari’s...bitch.” A pause. Is this for real?!

“Are you crazy?! Why would you want to be his bitch? The guy’s a total asshole! He doesn’t even answer his text messages! If you’re looking for a real guy to fawn over, I think you should look no further than moi. I’m the World Champion, after all, AND I actually call back. I’ll give you some time to reconsider.”

He also pauses, but then quickly releases a laugh. His amusement not only stems from the name, but also from Tyson’s reaction. Anything that has to do with Kai instantly infuriates the other, but to Max, this kind of adoration was to be expected.

“I like anyone that’s confident. Don’t listen to Tyson. I think he’s just jealous that his fans aren’t willing to go that far. But, uh... now that I think about it, I’m almost afraid to ask how you earned that title.”

Ray releases a nervous chuckle. To be someone’s bitch implies a lot - heavy devotion, a willingness to be subordinate, and claimed ownership. He never really questioned what Kai does when he’s not around, but now Ray’s imagining quite a few colorful ideas. After all, why else would this woman be so attracted to him?

“Well’p, it’s...something. As long as you’re happy, it’s not really my business. Make sure he at least treats you well. Wouldn’t be worth it if he doesn’t~.”

He’s just as surprised as Tyson is. Face instantly flusters. Eyes avoid the opposing person’s gaze. Muscles tighten, jaw clenches, and teeth bite back embarrassed expressions. He wouldn’t have minded reading the title in private - but in front of his own team? He’ll never hear the end of it - especially from Tyson. But somehow, the frustration from his former teammate seems to relax him. Oh? Is that jealousy he senses? Why not kick it up a notch?

“You made Tyson snap. I like that... I don’t think my thoughts about the name matter. What does, for now, is your reward. So... How about I give that name a whole new meaning? You seem like you’re up for it.”

For my dear Friend @guardianofsaintshields. Some cute Kailima to hopefully cheer her up after some weirdo’s decided to harass her over who she ships Salima with X) I also suck at doing pairing pics so this took me a little longer than I would have liked but I’m pleased with how it looks :D Kai looks very handsome, and Salima so pretty with her hair and dress. Also, I wonder how much Kai had to practice so they could slow dance so nicely.
