introduction!

woohoo! i haven't used tumblr in a long time. i decided to make one for animal crossing because i've been absolutely obsessed! my random talking tag is gonna be "crosswalk convos". you can call me miles! i'm not pinning this because i just kind of don't like the look of them, but i'll put a tag to easily find this again.

BELOW IS A LITTLE ABOUT ME!

i've liked animal crossing since i was small. it brings me so much nostalgia. i personally don't hold any opinions on "taboo" things in animal crossing (eg. treasure islands, modding switches, time travel), so don't worry about me blocking you for that. play how you want to play. you gotta do what makes you happy!

i love horror so villages like hitokui village and aika village are my childhood. i love art and animation, and my main accounts (zirconmonkey) have some of my art on 'em. i'll post specifically animal crossing art here but i'll always have a link back to my main on the posts (my main, zirconmonkey, doesn't have a tumblr anymore because i used it to make this, so it'll be linking to my instagram most likely).

i will share headcanons, art, ships (i really don't have many honestly it's really just tom x redd lol), and of course stuff related to my island. on december 13th 2022 i reset my old island, inktopia, to start a new island. this new island is called "reisei", meaning serenity. the theme is a sort of traditional japanese, rural small village in theme. not from a past period such as the heian period, but just a more laid-back countryside "everyone knows each other" type of place. when it looks a little pretty, i'll upload a dream address, but for now it's doodoo with weeds everywhere, just the start of a town.

The Animal Crossing New Leaf Welcome amiibo Horror Dream Masterpost

Hello! I’ve seen the masterpost of ACNL dream towns several times before, and I was inspired to make this post to spread around some lesser-known dream towns. Besides, that post by fuckyeahassortedstuff is outdated with the Welcome amiibo update, so yeah. Like his post, I will provide a small description, the language, and the Dream code. 

I have visited these towns, but I didn’t record them here. They were on my Amino, but since the awful update, I left, so they’re no longer there anymore. 

Also, all of the classic older horror towns have changed since their OG incarnations, so if you haven’t visited in a while, I highly encourage you to.  

Anyways, let’s go!

Aika Village- It’s the classic. Investigate what happened to a girl on her birthday. Japanese. 2D00- 002A- 49A0

Hitokui- This is yet another classic. Dig deeper into the mystery of a church, a cafe, and a shrine if you’ve got the guts. Japanese. 1C00-0077-A492

Cuteland- Welcome to our boarding school! Mother would love to have you here. We hope you enjoy it here! This is one of my favorite horror dream towns, and I’ve been to a lot of them. English. 5C00-0029-541E

Faleisha- Investigate the strange circumstances surrounding a young man’s death. English. 5B00-0026-1300

Fogwood- What happens when a town accepts demons and riches? Nothing good, that’s what. This is probably the most well-known new Dream town. English. 6E00-0015-B4EC

Unknown- This isn’t specifically a horror town, but it is based on Over the Garden Wall, which is a CN show that has the perfect Halloween vibes. English. 5B00-00E6-E746

AHS- This town is an American Horror Story based town, so if you enjoy AHS, you’ll like this one. English. 5D00-003E-4CF3

Hell-  Explore a rainy town that has a cutesy facade. What’s underneath? Who knows...English. 7A00-0094-3FFC

Home- There’s demons and experiments. English. 4F00-007C-7A21

Fade- This is a story of fame, and the painful journey of getting there. English. 7B00-0047-9C5E

Mosswick-  A plant store owner, a plant and fungi grower, and a librarian live in the same town. Also, there’s mushrooms everywhere, so that’s probably important. English. 4A00-002B-04CA

The Void- Dare to gaze into the void... English. 5B00-0095-BD63

Verity- A school houses a dark secret. Why are there so many messages to leave? What happened here? English. 5F00-00A6-0957

Hula Key- Welcome to a town where Death owns the pet shop. English. 4D00-0013-948C

Marshall- Visit a town full of Marshall-y goodness. This is similar to Donut/Marshall in that it’s about someone with an obsession with Marshall, but it goes a different way. English. 4C00-0086-C8D8

Aokihara-This place was brainwashed with sports. English. 4E00-0032-EBA1

Oasis- Explore a sparkling oasis town! This kind of reminds me of Covah, honestly. English. 5B00-002B-8BBE

Rosetrot- There’s a cult that worships the eldritch horrors made by H.P. Lovecraft. English. 4E00-001C-CC4A

Bohmte- Every villager is Coco, and everything is dead. Also, there’s a huge pentagram. German. 6A00-0064-5225

Town of Madness/Bonne T.- Fate has struck this town, and now, the evil has escaped... English 4F00-000F-9C1E

Rose- This is my personal town, and while it’s not specifically horror, it is Danganronpa-themed. English. 5A00-01FC-F0FB

Dream Journal Entry #2: Hitokui Island - Horror Themed Island

Dream Address: DA-4088-8875-3480

Honestly, when I first arrived I didn’t realize this was a horror themed island. I should of seen all the signs but I had no clue where I just arrived...

I first went into the restaurant and I was in love with how cute it was, as you can see I was very happy with how beautiful it was decorated. Once I went down stairs and seen half a body on the table I then realized where I am. I have seen some YouTube videos of this town whenever it was on New Leaf and it was one of my number one places I always wanted to visit!

This island didn’t disappoint one bit. So beautiful, and detailed. I loved seeing the villagers walking around, and I finally got to meet the girl with blood on her back! For some reason she was one villager I really wanted to meet, haha. It also shocked me when one of them were sitting in the chair outside the house, it creeped me out in the best way.

Overall I give this island a 10/10! I was so excited and I hope you all take the time to visit it also.

I went to Hitokui Village (Cannibal Village) last night around 1am when I was playing animal crossing and it is SO FUN and SO SCARY and so well thought out. Like even the things they have around the island like bug statues and putting the chicken villager in the farm area is so good

So here’s a bunch of images from it. A ton of people have already done youtube videos about it

This is Ed Gein’s (Ed Gene?) restaurant! All the rooms are normal restaurant rooms except for the basement which is the place where people meet is served to a specific table

This is Gorou who runs the Meat Farm. I think he’s based off of Leatherface?? 

“Did you come here for meat as well?”

Gorou actually scared the absolute shit out of me bc I left the Restaurant and he was just lurking outside lol

Then I went to Zoru’s Hospital (Zoru is the name of Hitokui’s twitter handle so i think was the first character they made). Presumably the solo table in Ed’s restaurant is for the Doctor. But Raymond and Raddie are also associated with this hospital lol

So this room I didn’t upload a good photo of. but the pattern is all along the walls and floor and there’s a chair on one end of the room with stage lights with purple light shining onto the chair. There’s a jail door partially blocking the entrance. And then this little bed in the corner that has the painting kit saying “koroshite kudasai” meaning “Please kill me”

The upstairs room has the alien wallpaper and a bunch of fish and bugs in cages and tanks. The more creepy ones like the horseshoe crab and the isopod. And this dope ass pillow on the ground 

And then I met the doctor himself!

“There’s no escape from this island heehee”

Gorou’s farm that the first room has mud and ducks in it. Like I said there’s also the chicken villageer Egbert who they built their house as part of the farm.

You can’t see it from this angle but in the cell they have a cooler of water and a dogfood bowl. Also the very ominous amount of feminine shoes WHICH relates to another house on the island I didnt upload pictures for yet.

And then I met Kozu who lives near the church. The church story was a little more....bloody and spooky and I don’t know that I 100% understand the story for the Church but they recently changed two of the rooms

My big dumb hat is blocking the fact that there are four dollies in this room. As Shane would say “Better not be doing cult shit!”

Four graves in the basement.  Now there’s a room in the back behind the church alter that was recently changed. Its a cage with a chair a table and a book (presumably a bible?) and all around the room are bloodied footprints and bloodied hand prints on the wall.

I know, I know...

Horror Animal Crossing isn't a first, but c'mon! Who wouldn't want that? If there could be an ACNL/ACNH Island called Hitokui Village (in Japanese, I believe, means "Cannibal Village"), then why not an Animal Crossing story with heavily inspired plot elements from Higurashi?

So I thought of something,

Imagine Animal Crossing... But with Higurashi plot elements?

some hacking thoughts

it’s a well known fact that hacking and time travelling have always been controversial within the AC community. however, this is My blog so i can give my opinion on it if i want. and i will do just that!

i honestly do not understand why it’s such a big deal. how somebody else plays animal crossing does not affect me in any way, shape, or form. if somebody wants to grow star fragment trees, that’s fine! they look pretty! it doesn’t affect my ability to play AC! i do not care if someone hacks their game at all!

i may be biased because i’m not a huge fan of NH, but i really think this discussion has gotten worse with the new wave AC fans whose first game was NH. in NL people would make the most beautiful towns with trees in the water and all sorts of hacked stuff and i never saw as much uproar as i did with NH. it’s the same as NH players reporting horror themed islands - where were you for hitokui village? where were you for aika village? new wave AC fans (derogatory) /hj

it’s the same with time travelling. people have constantly debated whether you should time travel or not and whether it’s cheating or not. my answer is: Who cares! personally, i think time travelling removes the real time aspect of the game and ruins the longevity for it. but that is for me PERSONALLY! that is why i myself do not time travel! if someone else time travels, it does not affect my game at all! so i don’t understand what the problem is!!!!!!

anyway. Little rant because i have many thoughts in my head. i thought the star fragment trees were really cool so it’s sad that they’re gone
