       it had been an awfully early morning for the new mother. young prince arthur, now several months old, had been restless due to the nights becoming warmer and so it stood to reason that elizabeth herself awoke early with his cries in that she might comfort him. she was not certain how long she had sat with the child in her arms until the early morning sun began to illuminate the windows, marking the beginning of the long day ahead of them and swiftly bringing her sleeping husband to mind. elizabeth had watched the crown weigh heavy on the kings during her life time but none so much as henry, perhaps that was due to being much older now, and she felt it her duty to worry for him while he seemingly constantly worried about everything else. 

she could argue that she should let him sleep as he would surely need it when he had a privy counsel to appease later on but she would only be brief. bare feet fell silently as she crossed the hall with arthur bundled and fast asleep in her arms, led only by the servant who placed the babe’s cot into henry’s room where in which she laid him down in once they were left alone. elizabeth remained careful not to make too much noise as she tiptoed around the large bed and perched herself upon the edge, gentle fingers moving to softly brush the curls from the sleeping king’s forehead before she leaned and pressed a kiss in the very same spot.

                     it was one of those rare moments where carina did not know what to say. not long before, she’d entirely denied even the mere possibility of the other’s existence, yet her knowledge of the world’s workings had been entirely overturned. beyond having to accustom herself to the improbability of his being, she need also overcome the matter of his being a father ——an uncomfortable subject for a girl without one of her own. not to mention, he was henry’s father.  ❛   your son is very brave.  ❜  she didn’t quite know what else to talk about. carina didn’t know what else they might have in common; that, and for some reason, it made her feel a little more comfortable to talk about henry.  ❛   he helped save me from THE GALLOWS. he caught me as i dropped.  ❜

Hayley grunts at his attempt at a joke, leaves crunching beneath her naked body as she shifts on the ground, the action pressing her closer to the warm body near hers. “You’re not funny,” She grumbled, reaching up and pressing a palm flat against his bare chest. 

“We need to stop this.” She told him pointedly as the sun beat down of her skin. She remembered. The mild confusion wore off about the same time she caught sight of his bare flesh. Last night had been a blur. It started off with some bourbon and had somehow ended up with them ending their night together--- Again. 

"We should go inside before someone see’s us.” The last thing she needed was being caught outside naked and with Klaus no less, she thought while lifting herself into a sitting position.

Sophie had had plenty of practice appearing like calmth itself when facing certain people but the feeling of panic was all the greater as she was in the lion’s den so to speak. To know that one was in a place with people who would murder her without hesitation if the truth of her bloodline was uncovered would no doubt be unnerving to anyone. 

But admittedly, her words were very genuine. It was not unusual for those in her family to have a great appreciation for arts and beautiful things, perhaps because they were in constant danger of being exposed and therefore appreciated all beauty that came on their way. Sophie was hardly any different, though her fascination was more mathematical and puzzle based.

The King could feel that his health was still deteriorating, that he might not have a great deal of time to talk with his family or offer his dear daughter, his wisdom and experience when it came to ruling. That responsibility extended to his son-in-law.

Having spotted him alone in one of the many rooms of the palace he decided now was as good a time as any and he approached. “May I join you?” He asked without really asking for permission as he took a seat. “I thought we might have a little chat.”

After the initial introductions to the palace, Newt would be lead through the palace to meet the Prince in private. The moment he stepped in, Prince Albert smiled and and greeted, “Hello, you m-must be Newt Scamander.” He set his own copy of Fantastic Beasts on a table and waited for the wizard to greet him in return.
