Before I get on the road:
As requested by @delete-this-when-i-die here's a pic of the first thing I ever woodcarved, AND one of the inspos for the first Red Thread chapter - a chapter that included a small wooden duck which kicked off the epic love saga! I knew I needed her to hold something small, something with the potential for humor, as well as something a kid might like or keep as they grew older, but I wasn't sure what to use. Fortunately, this little wooden duck was sitting on my shelf by my PC, and I realized he fit perfectly!
