Skipstar - The Founder

I just remember being really sad that Myrtlecinder didn't succeed her, but then I believe I made Timberrip deputy instead, or maybe it was chanse, lol. This was like, so long ago. I think she was pretty chill. Her lineage died with Cavebumble, the cat with many wives and husbands, and yet not a single child (good for her... but also it was so ridiculous when she and Briarcreek got together).

I think (Paledusk had gotten catnapped but returned. The deputy while Pale was missing isn't listed and idr lol) History: I don't remember too much of Timberrip's history, though obviously I know that she joined the clan with her mother and siblings, and both of her siblings died tragically young. Briefly I remember I made her medicine cat as Weedsoar (the sole med cat) was preggo and couldn't take care of the clan. Timberrip then proceeded to become deputy under Skipstar after Myrtlecinder's death, and was mates with former loner Peach, and proceeded to have So Many Babies. She tried twice to name some after her deceased sister (the Tempests), but they kept dying so I guess she gave up. Anyway, eventually Skipstar dies and Timberrip is now Timberstar, and she makes Paledusk deputy, and I'm just trying to get some Murder at this point, so I mediate Paledusk and Timberstar to hate each other... only for Paledusk to get catnapped, BUT, once she comes back, I force her right back into that deputy position baby! And then she FINALLY kills Timberstar, which is where I started posting about FretClan, as it was very dramatic. Timberstar just gave birth to her sixth litter, only for her AND her mate Peach to be killed by Paledusk before she can even name them. Fun stuff. Currently, her lineage goes down to great-great-grandkits! ...Well, kit. Icespot is the only living one.

She had the bloodthirsty trait, so she was Going To Murder if I had anything to say about it. Unfortunately she did briefly get catnapped, but to my Utter Surprise, She Came Back!!!!! And so it was right back to murderville for her. Even though it took forever, she did kill Timberstar and ascend to leadership eventually! And it's very funny because, despite seemingly leading very tyrannically, Brokenstar-esque, she saved a lot of cats, and even gained permanent wounds to protect cats before so... Can't help but wonder if it's kind of a "was destined to save the clan but a Higher Power interfered and made me do the opposite" kind of deal. Actually, doesn't even need to be a higher power. Fumbledrop the Evil Mediator was really the one sabotaging the relationships. Anyway, I find her love life really funny. Talia, I don't even remember. Bitterburn was also a pretty minor relationship (they actually dated for a real long time but still). But Seoul is so funny to me because he joined, they got together, broke up, hated each other, had a kid, got back together, broke up, and I just love it. They love to hate each other, hate to love each other lmao. Meanwhile, Palestar choose to date Goldbelly out of her own violation after Goldbelly's son Crestedpuddle literally beat her up and killed her in front of the clan (seriously, how was Palestar still leader if her own cats were repeatedly harming/challenging/killing her?!). Palestar is literally so cringefail yet girlboss, I love her. She just kinda died too, leading to Hickorystar's rule.

Now, it's worth noting that Hickoryspots is technically Palestar's step-grandkid, so perhaps there was some nepotism at work here, but regardless, the vibes I get is that Hickoryspots was the Blackfoot to Palestar's Brokenstar. The Yes Man, the Right Hand. Hickoryspots did whatever Palestar said and that was it. No brain cells, no thoughts, perfectly content to be complacent in murder and violence, and never realized that, one day, she would be the one leading. I don't think she was a good or bad leader. Probably fumbled a lot, but she got her footing eventually. I think she was always a lot more focused on her romance life, honestly. She loved all of her mates, and she was very dedicated to Basstail. The only decision Hickorystar ever made in her life was making Stoatfoot deputy, and, by StarClan, it was the best decision she ever made, so therefore she gets a pass for condoning and enabling all the shitty things during Palestar's rule. (Oh my god, just saw her memo too... Yeah, girl, you defo coulda made better decisions lol.) Hickorystar lived and died pretty plainly, leaving FretClan in this awkward zone where they weren't sure if they were still supposed to be evil or not, leading into the misfortune that is Stoatstar's rule... Currently, Hickorystar's lineage stretches down to great-great-grandkit! Much like Timberstar, Icespot is said x2-grandkit, though this is through adoption/fostering.

Stoatstar - The Unwanted

He and his sister were polar opposites in that typical, she's the cool, popular girl, while he's the loser nerd brother. In my mind, I always wanted Stoatflash (his sister) to be deputy because she was my first cat with vitiligo, and also Stoatflash was a way cooler name than Stoatfoot. But then Hickorystar's chose Stoatfoot of her own violation and I was just. So shocked. But Stoatfoot was definitely the better (and funnier) choice, and I think he's a great deputy/leader. But, still, I really wanted Stoatflash to get angry and kill him, so y'know I sabotaged them to hell. Despite that, she never killed him, and he became leader... And then I attempted to play into I think it was Shiveringneedle's hatred of Boragechase (the new deputy), only for Boragechase to retire, and then I turned everyone's (Shiveringneedle's, Stoatflash's, Lightningcry's) anger towards Springdawn, and, finally, she died! Except, the murder was unknown and was probably actually Smokystripe and/or Budpelt! Not that Stoatstar knew that, so he made Smokystripe deputy! Only for Smokystripe to ALSO be mysteriously murdered... by who? Well, maybe Smokystripe was killed by Stoatflash's crew because she wanted them in control (seeing as her apprentice, Stumpynudge, is now deputy), or, maybe, Stoatstar had to kill him as he discovered the truth... I think Stoatstar is becoming increasingly paranoid as he realizes just how against each other the clan is... how divided and powerhungry they are... There's multiple groups gunning for his head, torn apart after Palestar's violent rule and Hickorystar's lax one... It'll be interesting to see how he dies---to natural causes, or to his enemies. Currently, his lineage goes down to grandkit, through Icespot (and, technically, Burntspots's partner's kits as well)! I think it's really funny that Icespot is related to, like, every leader ever lmao
