"Focus on my voice, Raven." Sometimes the voices are a little too loud to ignore but hers cuts through them all with a deafening clarity, bringing voice to the silent cries that won't (can't) leave her throat.

"The term "peer pressure" usually has negative connotation. It usually is about getting people to do bad things. When I eventually caved into my version of peer pressure from my two best friends in the Haikyuu fandom, they seemed certain that there would be another husbando that joined my army. Needless to say I'm embarrassed that my friends know me so well they're able to read me like an open book."
Guys, this feels like the end of an era. I never thought that I'd actually get to the point where I would be all caught up with Haikyuu. Where there would be no more platonic comfort characters or husbandos for me to talk about. This show has made such a huge impact on me as a person. In a lot of ways, it's ruined me but I was so happy when I would watch the show. It's such a motivating and beautiful show of friendship and finding your place in the world. It was a show that took me by complete surprise and pretty much ran over my type with a dumpster truck with the amount of goofballs that plagued this series.
I was putting off completing the fourth and final season that's out right now because for one it's only in Japanese as of right now. I had to switch gears and switch languages which was a bit of a challenge. It was especially hard from me to go from hearing Greg Ayres's adorably high pitched voice to a deeper voice. It low key kind of hurt my soul. But at the same time I'm glad that I caved and watched the show in Japanese because I got the pleasure of watching Atsumu Miya. He was worth the shift of gears from languages, characters not sounding like how I'm used to hearing them sound, weird inflections for the humor, and everything that was different from the chaotic dub.
Atsumu was one of the characters that my two best friends (@moons-and-stars-and-shit and @lazyangryhedgehog) had been warning me about and also hyping me up to get to over these last few weeks since I finished season three and started a simping discord for my two favorite crazies. Both of them were insistent that I watch the show's final season that has been made to date because they knew that I'd fall in love with the setter for Inarizaki Academy.
We first meet Atsumu it's at the All Japan Training Camp. At first I didn't really know how to feel about the setter. I admitted to myself that he was cute but that was about all that was there. But once we actually saw him start to play volleyball with his twin brother (if you ship these two I swear to god I will stomp you with my hooves-) and the energy that his team carried I found myself being drawn to the setter more and more. Once I had realized that I had already caught feels for yet another setter I was already in too deep.
The best thing about Tsumu though is that he isn't rooted into one specific position. He sets sometimes, he spikes other times while Samu sets for him. That was the beauty of his character was that he was versatile but also scary good at what he could do on the court. He posed a legitimate threat to my best boi Nishinoya because he couldn't receive his serves properly. There are very few people that can pose an actual threat to Noya that he can't recover from and he needs to rely on other people in order to help him out. Atsumu was the only one that I remember seeing in this entire show that made Noya terrified that he couldn't help out his team.
I loved the antics of Atsumu with his teammates. His childish nature and just free spirited love of the game was what drew me into his character. He was just so deep down childish and often had to be babysat by the other members of his team. But it was obvious that they all still deep down cared about them even when Tsumu and Samu would do things that they didn't practice beforehand. If I had to label an exact moment when I knew that I was absolutely forever screwed and that h was a part of the army it was when his brother told him that he regressed at least five ages during a game and I laughed so hard I was crying. His love of the sport, combined with his childlike nature, adorable accent that I hope will be dubbed right when the time for that comes, and the fact that he was still encouraging of Shoyo despite the fact that they beat his team.
Growing up, my type was always the characters that would make me laugh the most. They just stored so much serotonin inside of them and made the show even better. Tsumu became one of the Haikyuu characters that made me laugh the most other than Kuroo and Tendou. To say, getting into this show that I was expecting to come out with nine more husbandos than I had going into it, was a surprise for me. It's been a journey but I'm so grateful for this fandom. This show has brought me an amazing friend that I love now, it's also taught me so much about myself. It's about determination and never giving up. This show inspires me continuously and I love it's characters more than anything. Thank you everyone for coming with me on this journey of chaos. I'm so appreciative of every single like, every single conversation that this show has brought to me. So many amazing people are a part of this fandom and I hope to meet many more of them in the future.
I've also decided to start doing requests for edits again! I'd love to start making them for other people than just myself and friendship appreciation edits.

Crypto Gambling Billionaire Tweets Out Pics Of Fun Evening Spent Watching VERY Young Girls Twerk For Him
Even John McAfee might be a little skeeved out by Calvin Ayre's Twitter feed.
We get that the crypto scene is essentially predicated on the idea that nerdy code jockeys can make gobs of money and then run away to a tropical tax haven where they can live out their fantasy of acting like a wealthy sexy pirate by paying people to pretend that they're sexy and even remotely "pirate-like."
The king of this lifestyle is, of course, John McAfee. A literal household name of Tech 1.0. McAfee has rebranded as a drug and alcohol-fueled lifestyle guru of degenerate living. A cursory guide through McAfee's Twitter feed will teach you about gunplay, extremely free sexual freedom, medically-inadvisable consumption of liquor and barbiturates, the proper way to engage in coitus with a whale, and - of course - the future of cryptocurrency.
Somehow, McAfee's routine manages to come off as just self-aware and entertaining enough to not be utterly irredeemable. It's the platonic ideal of every crypto nerd trying to rebrand as a charming scoundrel living out loud.

Thanks for watching!
But there are pitfalls to trying to be like John McAfee, just ask gambling online entrepreneur-turned-crypto evangelist Calvin Ayre, who announced today that tickets to his CoinGeek Conference in Toronto this May are now on sale.
Crypto conferences are still [somehow] pretty legion, so it's good to have an edge, a personality if you will. And it appears that Ayre spent yesterday evening trying to remind everyone that he's a wild character living the life that all crypto billionaires yearn to taste:

Rum and sex? Cool. But also, hmmm, those girls look young. And not like "Under 18" young so much as "How's 5th Grade going?" young. This is a creepy tweet, and the responses to it show that Ayre's followers - crypto guys, nonetheless - were less impressed than openly disgusted:
But Ayre seems pretty married to the "Bad Boy in Paradise" character. So much so that he doubled and tripled down.
We like a douchey rebel as much as the next jerk, but this is too dark for us, and we would wager that even John McAfee thinks Ayer might be tempting fate here. And Ayre also seems to have badly misjudged the timing. Crypto is and will likely always be an outsider thing, but society is way more willing to accept disgusting behavior from someone when they're at the top. In case Ayre hasn't looked, Bitcoin's performance has been akin to a Boeing 737 Max 8, so when you tweet out videos of children in bikinis bouncing their asses for your tittilation, you should at least be actually rich enough to act that venally amoral.
Anyway, we hope everyone has a great time at CoingGeek Toronto 2019!

"Because refirge-Rei-tor!
Don't even!" (Nagisa and Rei Free Iwatobi Swim Club)
"Usually when I watch a sports anime my favorite is almost always the one that I find the most platonically "cute". (Me)
When I first left high school the first anime that I watched when I did online school was Free Iwatobi Swim Club. I found the episodes at random on YouTube and was instantly hooked on the show as a whole. The characters, the relationships, and the genuinely heartwarming story all openly sucked me into their world. Most people that know me might be just a tad bit caught off guard as your local Tatum mega fan that Rei isn't my comfort character from Free. As much as I love our local intellectual boi the award for comfort character that would 10/10 give the best hugs out of all my anime comfort characters had to go to Nagisa.
I almost instantly loved Nagisa from his first time on screen when I saw his excitable pink eyes positively light up at the prospect of seeing his friends again after so long spent apart from them. He's just such an adorable pure baby (if we're not talking 50% Off. I try to ignore that version of Nagisa because it's so different from canon.) Ever since I first got into the show he instantly called out to me. He fit right directly into my wheelhouse of comfort characters that I just wanted to wrap around and give them a big hug. He's incredibly cute and just overall the absolute baby out of the group.
Nagisa's friendships were also my favorites in the entire show, especially his relationship with Rei. ReiGisa is my main ship in Free because they were so cute and just the sweetest out of all the ships. They were the only one that I could see in their interactions throughout the show. My personal favorite is how much they use puns. I used my favorite pun as the quote for this edit. It cracks me up every time I remember their light bickering. I just thought that their friendship was so cute. It was pure and adorable. I could watch their goofiness forever.
As I got through the rest of the show I fell even deeper in love with this little baby ray of sunshine. But when I found out that his parents were extremely strict on him. My heart positively broke for him and that's when I knew that he would be my favorite character. He brought so much light and happiness into the world. He was so quirky and funny but that nature was just to cover up how much his parents were really hard on him. I would do anything to protect that smile and buy him all the sweets and candy that he can stomach (even if Rei would get on my case.)
Nagisa to me is the heart and core of this show. It's due to his optimism and his perseverance that the swim club was able to be revived at all. His comedic antics brought others together. Through the other characters he was able to be happy and find himself with new friends. Nagisa is one of the sweetest characters that I've ever come into contact with. His incredible kindness towards Rei was what brought him into the world of swimming. I love the idea of this bright light that could draw people together.
Nagisa's voice actor is actually one of my ultimate favorites for the dubbed anime community Greg Ayres. Ayres is one of my all time favorite voice actors! I love his voice more than anything and the lightness as well as airiness of the bright. His voice never fails to make me smile whenever I hear it. I don't hear his voice extremely often but whenever I do it never fails to make me grin.
Nagisa is one of my favorite characters during my high school years. His experience changed my life and I grew to love his cuteness and goofy nature. I loved his sense of humor but as well as his adorable relationship with Rei. No matter what I can always rely on his kindhearted nature to make me smile. Through everything since then he's been there for me. I love his character more than anything and I wanted to give him a big hug. Thank you for everything Nagisa.
