Obviously I'm not the correct person to talk abt the full scope of this issue in detail but do Larian writers realize that like. Being too cowardly to properly give Wyll any written nuance and watering him down to "nice" so he doesn't rock the boat at all as a black fantasy lead is just as racist as the stereotypes found in his pre-release character right?

#they really said wahhh its too hard to write a black male lead we give up!!#and then never gave him literally any content ever again #like i dont know how to tell you this but your only options arent 'angry black man' and 'so nice he never gets upset at all'#like he absolutely needed to be reworked from pre release #but how they did it feels like all the white ppl in the writes room threw up their arms and went 'wah we'll never please anyone'#wouldnt be surprised if Wyll being less complex and having little conflict was also to appease racist gamers so theyll still play the game.#anyways im forever mad about this #i just love this character so much he deserves so much more #s.txt #hire more black writers for fucks sake give my boy literally ANY attention at all 😭#also i am saying this as someone who LOVES nice characters and loves the nuance of them #i would never call a kind character boring. my issue isnt hes kind #its that hes clearly had less care into writing him
