Why was Hin mad at Payu? For using his phone while they were walking and talking? For excluding him from the work group chat? For dragging him out to the car? For interrupting his meeting? I didn't think he was really mad about any of those things

Chains of Heart ep 5

Hold on...I'm reeling a bit from the Our Skyy 2 trailer...

Okay *slaps myself out of my trance* let's do this.

As I mentioned at the end of my ep 4 post, when Hin, Payu, and Boon turn up to take Ken away from Lue, they're all wearing a combination of Ken and Din/Lue's colours. Boon is neutral like Din/Lue is sometimes, Hin has Ken and Din's colours in his shirt, and Payu has blue and red (and maybe even green) stripes in his. This could be indicating their varying levels of knowledge/support about who Lue really is (although Payu is hiding his really well).

At the temple, again Ingpha and Ae confuse me - Ingpha is wearing the same outfit that he wore when paying his *ahem* respects to Din's parents when Din's body was apparently found (photo added on the right below as a reminder) and Ae also has a similar dark blue. This time he's meeting Lue for the first time...who is actually Din...so maybe it's something to do with putting on a front - a show of solidarity to Lue even though we know Ingpha is the 'enemy'.

At Din's parents' place afterwards, they're also complementing in Ken and Din's colours...with a hint of Lue in the flowers and fence to the left...but we know that Din's family are supportive of Ken, don't we?

In Din's bedroom, the purple lighting returns as Ken cries again over the loss of his love and whilst Din's mum tries to encourage Ken to move on and meet someone new. However, in the next breath, she pretty much implies that Din might still be alive because who else could have left that flower there on the day of the funeral...? (Also, I have to laugh at how obvious Lue was standing behind that curtain. I can't believe she didn't notice! But also also...Lue is hiding behind his new colour in his old bedroom.)

I'll come back to the flower in a moment...but I loved how we return to the green and red when Ken goes back to the hotel that he and Din had stayed in but this time looking for Lue.

And so to the flower, and it's fitting that it looks almost purple both in the present and in the past, although in Ken's hotel room it's more red. Din says it's an Iris but from my google searching I think it's actually an Anthurium. The red Anthurium still symbolises love, passion, and affection though, so Din's not wrong there, and the purple is for royalty and passion. How incheresting, though, that Ken wears a green shirt both times he's presented with the flower - the first when Din expresses his eternal love and the second when Din's mum encourages him to move on from Din...and then there's the divide, the distance between Ken and the flower in the hotel room - Din is so far away from him...or is he?...since the flower is also in Lue's red...

Ken goes out for some air...and we know something's about to go down connected to Din because of the dramatic green lighting -> Lue shows up to beat Ken into retreating back to Taiwan, and then returns x minutes later (having changed from the black clothes into beige) to comfort and confess to Ken.

The next day, Boon, Dr Chayeol, and Lue are all complementing in shades of Ken's blue...but also Sai's neutral/beige outfit and green handbag indicates she knows about Lue's real identity, hence why she's encouraging Ken to open up to Lue.

And then we're back to the dramatic greens and reds (with some purple lights), when Nok turns up to fight Ken, with Lue getting involved, and then the final reveal that Lue has Din's necklace.

I think my interpretations are still holding up, although I feel like I'm generalising quite a bit. In any case, there are definitely patterns to how the colours and lighting are being used, even if it is for dramatic cinematography.

Hlukhin kämpfte auch professionell als Boxer, unter anderem um den Titel des WBA-Weltmeisters. Er war ungeschlagen in allen 50 seiner Boxkämpfe, 30 von ihnen professionell und mehr als 30 durch K.O..

Erfahrungsbericht

Türkise, orangefarbene und knall grüne Häuser, Palmen, drei oder sogar vier Personen auf einem kleinen Roller, die unbedenklich durch die kleinen Straßen Phukets fuhren. Eindrücke, die man vielleicht als „Kulturschock“ bezeichnet, ich sie aber persönlich viel mehr eine „Kulturerfahrung“ nennen würde.

Wir empfehlen über Skyscanner.de zu buchen und direkt Phuket oder Krabbi anzufliegen wenn ihr sofort zur Insel wollt. Oder aber über Bangkok zu fliegen und sich dieses atemberaubende Stadt anzugucken! Bucht eher einen Flug an dem ihr früh landet denn die Boote zur Insel gehen nur bis ca 16 Uhr!Ein Paar Tage in Bangkok lohnen sich sehr!  Wir empfehlen als Startpunkt die Rambuttri Area nahe Khao San Road und dort dieses Hotel: Es ist günstig, perfekt gelegen, sauber und hübsch und hat auf dem Dach einen Pool:-) http://www.rambuttrivillageinnbangkok.com/Wie kommen wir auf die Insel? Von Phuket aus dem Taxifahrer sagen: "Bangrong Pier" Preise für das Taxi (15 min Fahrtzeit) sowie für das Boot sollten immer verhandelt werden. Die Speedboats fahren ab der Halbinsel Phuket täglich vom Bang Rong Pier ab. Preis: 200 BHT. Da kann man nicht viel falsch machen: Es legen Boote nach KOH YAO NOI und KOH YAO YAI ab. Bitte auf der richtigen Insel, KOH YAO NOI landen:-) Einen aktuellen Abfahrtplan findet ihr hier: (auch mit Abfahrtszeiten aus Krabi und Phang Gna: http://www.rocknrowthailand.com/koh_yao.html Vom Krabi Airport dauert die Taxifahrt länger und wird am Flughafen verhandelt. Einfach sagen dass man nach Koh Yao Noi will. Thailänder sind sehr sehr hilfsbereit! Für das  Muay Thai Training werdet ihr eure Ausrüstung brauchen. Schienbeinschoner, Mundschutz, Boxhandschuhe und Bandagen solltet ihr mitbringen wenn ihr am Training teilnehmen möchtet. Die Sportschule Alex kann euch all das in ausgezeichneter Qualität besorgen, komm dazu einfach mal rein. Man kann sich dieses Equipment auch im Gym kaufen. Die Thai-Qualität ist speziell für Muay Thai Training ausgelegt und sehr robust. Erwartet also ähnliche Preise wie hier.Eine Auslandskrankenversicherung macht in der Regel viel Sinn. Trainiert man Muay Thai wird es sogar noch sinnvoller. Wer mehr als einmal im Jahr verreist, könnte direkt eine Jahresversicherung nehmen, was oftmals nur 6-10 € teurer ist. Meine Empfehlung: Hanse Merkur.Da einige Impfungen erst nach mehrmaliger Einnahme eine Immunität gewährleisten, empfehlen wir bald einen Besuch beim Hausarzt zu riskieren und die Reise in die thailändischen Tropen zu besprechen. Bitte lasst euch aber keine Malaria-Prophylaxe aufschwatzen, das ist völlig unnötig (dort).Falls ihr innerhalb Thailands mit Reisebussen unterwegs seid, wie etwas der Nachtbus von Bangkok nach Phuket, passt SEHR sorgfältig auf eure Wertgegenstände auf! Diebe fahren gerne im Gepäckfach der Busse mit und bedienen sich in aller Ausführlichkeit während ihr schläft:-) Tragt Kreditkarten und Wertsache ausschließlich AM Körper!

More random thoughts on a rewatch of Chains of Heart eps 4, 5, & 6

More confusion with Nok - he just happens to be where Fin/Gun appears from the forest having run away from trying to kill Ken, he gets upset that Fin uses impolite language with him and 'play strangles him' and seems to unintentionally kill him...but then when Lue asks why he killed Fin, Nok says that Fin botched a job. So what part of all this is true? Is Nok as genuinely mentally unstable as he seems or is it all an act? (because he seemed very lucid on the phone to Ingpha...)

It was in ep 4's flashback that I started to wonder whether Din's work was coming between him and Ken...and I think it sets up a conflict for the future when Ken discovers that Lue is Din and that Din/Lue chose to work to uncover the shady dealings (thus hiding his identity, disappearing for two years) rather than recover and be with Ken... That choice has got to hurt.

And Ingpha just has an envelope of cash to hand in case he ever needs to bribe someone 😂

I wonder if Ken and Din would have survived had Ken not run out into the forest to look for Din. It might all be his fault for getting caught by Nok, I wonder if that plays on his mind or on Din's mind.

Lue is being SO OBVIOUS in ep 4 with all the hints that he's Din...and he's a little too overbearing with Ken. It's too much too soon, no wonder Ken gets frustrated at Lue's advances.

In ep 5, when Payu, Hin, and Boon arrive at the temple they see Lue talking to Ingpha. Now, presumably Payu knows that Lue is Din...so what was his reaction for? He looked angry that Lue was shaking hands, seemingly amiably with Ingpha, was that just an act to throw off Hin and Boon? Afterwards, he seemed to imply that Lue can't be trusted, that maybe he's working with Ingpha...but Payu would know he's not. Or?

In that following conversation Ken says Lue saved his life but then Boon asks "Is this about the black truck and the matter with Fin that I told you? Don't forget, only Fin saw it." -> what the hell was it that Boon told Ken about Fin? What did Fin see? None of this makes sense.

And again, later, Sai and Payu/Hin argue about whether Lue is good (as Sai thinks) or bad (as Payu seems to think and Hin definitely thinks) -> is this more deflection on Payu's part?

Din/Lue really did just beat up Ken, telling him to go back to Taiwan, and then changed out of his black clothes into his beige outfit only to return to Ken x minutes later to take care of him.

I now don't think Nok did shoot Lue. It's been shown that Nok is actually a pretty poor shooter, he rarely hits the person he's aiming for (apart from his two underlings whom he shot with the machine gun), so I think Lue faked being hit. But then he really did go to change out of his suit into the black clothes (in his car maybe?) to re-enter the fight with Nok and then Ken. I know later Ae mentions to Lue about him getting shot, but I still don't think he could have fought the way he did and recover as fast if he had gotten shot.

It's interesting that at the beginning of ep 6, in Lue's fantasy about Ken kissing his scars, Ken doesn't have the tattoo on his back or arm. I wonder why.

Also, am I really to believe that Payu is the chancellor of the university whilst Hin is a lecturer? They're babies! They can't be more than mid-twenties surely! Honestly, though, can you imagine seeing the chancellor of your university dragging one of your teachers out through the main entrance?!

If Payu does know that Lue is Din and that Dr Chayeol changes Din's face then why does he ask about it in front of the Dr and others? Surely he'd want to keep it secret. I'm starting to think Payu doesn't know...but maybe this is an act to try to throw people off. I know Hin will feel betrayed by him in ep 9, which we assume is because Payu knows about Din/Lue, but maybe it's something else...

Nok really is incompetent because he could have shot Ken at the outdoor restaurant but didn't. No wonder Ingpha is annoyed and also it's no wonder that Ingpha was the one to shoot Din off the cliff. Really, Ingpha just needs to do the job himself.

And whyyyyyy did Lue not just stab Ingpha when he had the chance. 🤷🏽‍♀️
