The sun is veiled by haze, and the sound of bushes dancing as the freezing breeze passes by. You were sitting on a rock beside a river that flows from the feeble waterfalls. It was one of those walks you enjoy taking with Himejima when neither of you was occupied with any activity on that day. The walk you always have with him to enjoy the nature surrounding you always ends up with interesting conversations to get to know each other better.
As newlyweds, it seemed too far to build a relationship with a man you barely knew in the beginning. Nevertheless, you both had a mutual apprehension about starting over. Throughout the days, you and Himejima opened up to one another, starting with both your pasts, where you found comfort in each other.
“I couldn’t accept all of the things that happened that day. My parents were everything to me. It was difficult to lose both of them. I miss them so much,” you said to Himejima while looking down on the stream of water passing through your feet. With your words, Gyomei turned to you and gently placed his large hands on your head. He rubbed your head tenderly. “(Y/n), your parents loved you deeply. They may not be here, but their memory lives on in you,” he replied.
Himejima’s words of affirmation have always filled your recent days with delight and a sense of security. There is something about his use of words that tells you it is exactly what you need to hear. That healed a part of you and allowed you to look forward to your future with clarity. Gyomei’s line of work may be risky, but you have faith in him.
Gyomei informed you that he will be away for a week for a mission on a farther land south, where there were incidents of demons attacking a huge village. This is the part of your relationship that you dislike the least. It is not because of how he is constantly putting his life on hold, but because of the loneliness that comes with his absence that you have to endure.
To doubt his skills is merely an act of foolery. Himejima always trained with relentless determination. He is committed to every single thing he does, from his training to his relationship with you. Himejima ensures that he is trying his best, if not becoming better. This is a part of him that makes you admire him even more.
As you’ve accomplished your social duties as a wife, you went straight home. This was the day Himejima ought to arrive. Nothing but the pure longing to reach out and be in your husband's arms is what you desire. With such haste, you went to the training area by your house. Himejima frequently goes to the training area. This is how he usually finds consolation to meditate after a long mission. There he was standing on his feet, and you approached the giant man from behind.
Gyomei, a subtle shift in his massive form, tells you he knows you're there around the place. Even before you and Himejima became closer, he never failed to sense whenever you were around. He surely did possess quality senses, and they were useful in his relationship with you. The stone hashira has put his boulder to a halt and turned to greet you.
With you closer to him, he pulled you in for a warm and delicate embrace. You can feel the tears in his eyes falling down. “I’ve missed you so much,” you whisper in his ear. His arms tightened around you, offering a comforting warmth against the chill of the evening. For a moment, there were only the two of you in an intimate embrace, leaving only the soft rhythm of your heartbeats echoing in the quiet space between you.
As you slowly move away from Gyomei’s grasp, you look up to him and see a delicate smile painted on his face. This offers you a bundle of joy. His hand cups your face to feel your being. “I’m so glad to be back home with you,” he says. You leaned on his hand and rubbed it. You never fail to appreciate the physical love you share with Gyomei.
“I apologize for having kept you waiting.”
“No, you don’t have to. I’m just happy you’re here with me now.”
“That reminds me,” he says. With a small pause, he pulled out a rectangle-shaped box from his pocket and gave it to you. “I got you something while I was away,” he continued. You opened the gift to see a sakura kanzashi. Your eyes lit up at how mesmerizing it was.
The smile on your face has doubled from what it was a while ago. You simply cannot help but be flattered by his gift. “I thought you were just the strongest and biggest Hashira there is,” you teased him. “You never told me that you’re also the sweetest Hashira.”
A gentle chuckle escaped his lips. “I may be a hashira, but I am your husband too.”
You loved every moment you shared with Gyomei. It didn’t take long for your relationship with Himejima to flourish. Both of you were well respected by everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps. With your lineage as a relative of Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Gyomei’s position as the leader of the hashira, people tend to be attentive whenever you and your husband are both around. The other people thought you were a beloved couple.
After you had dinner with Himejima, he held your hand on the way to your shared bedroom. The night was still young, and both of you decided to cozy up before sleeping together. This is something you enjoy with Gyomei during the night. He's lying at your back, and you're in his arms, watching the moon’s watchful gaze from your window. The size difference between both of you has made you feel like a stuffed toy for him. Himejima does not like to admit it, but he loves your size. He perceives you as a fragile being for him to forever protect and hold.
“Are you comfortable enough, (y/n)? ”He asks you. You turned your head at him and nodded in response, only for him to plant a kiss on your forehead afterwards. The way his lips filled your forehead made you feel the love of Gyomei’s physical affection.
It didn’t take long for you to face him and start kissing his cheeks one by one after another. Himejima could feel your kisses all over his face. Until you reached his lips, this caused him to be surprised and stare at you for a while. The eye contact you both had was full of tension until you both gave in to the pleasure of kissing each other on the lips.
Your body was leaning at Himejima’s huge form with arms wrapped around his being, and you could feel the heat of his body pressing into you. His arms moved down from your hair, slowly reaching to your waist, feeling the moment he shared with you. It didn’t take long for your hands to feel his hard and muscular form, moving your hands from his shoulder to his biceps. You can feel Gyomei’s hands tighten his grip while holding your waist. This encouraged you to explore more of his built form with your hands while not holding back from the intimate union of both of your lips.
Every part of him is bulky and strong; you can appreciate Himejima’s athletic physique as you continue caressing his body. Despite his large, hard chest, you felt the fast beat of his heart’s palpitation. As you were in the moment, you felt greedy for Himejima. You wanted more of him, and you needed more of Gyomei. Your left hand was supposed to feel his abdomen, but it dropped between his legs, where you felt the heat of his hot and large manhood.
Himejima pushed you away. It took a moment for you to catch your breath. The tension, the heat, and the feeling were there, but Gyomei stopped them. For a while, you felt the feeling of embarrassment creep up from your head to your toe. ‘Was I pushing myself onto him? ’ you thought to yourself.
This made you feel uneasy. For a woman, it is unlikely for this to happen or for you to feel this way. Numerous thoughts filled your head, and you questioned why Himejima stopped. He is your husband, and you have undergone the sacred act of marriage; you didn’t understand how it felt wrong. Not only that, it seems to you that Gyomei doesn’t feel as ‘attracted’ to you as you thought.
“(Y/n)—“ he uttered, but the embarrassment you felt made you not want to face your husband.
The night felt like your first day; it was silent, and not much conversation was involved, which was different from how you fixed it to be. It also felt like a long night, as you could not put yourself to sleep. However, it felt like the stone hashira did not get to rest peacefully either. As you’ve noticed, Gyomei does not sleep silently. He has a deep, rumbling snore, and that is something you have observed after several nights of sleeping beside him.
The next morning, you can hear the morning chirps of the birds, and the sun rays hit a part of your room. Your eyes slowly opened to wake you up. Your hand reached out to your side to find the familiar being you sleep with. Himejima’s presence beside you was nowhere to be seen as you opened both your eyes. You sat down to collect yourself and saw his bed area fixed already. Thus, your brain recollects the memory of last night. You were hoping for that night to be just a nightmare.
It was still too early in the morning. The thought of where your husband is is bothering you. ‘Did he leave for a mission?’ you pondered. You walked around your house to search for him. You peeked at the training area by your house, where Himejima usually does his morning meditation and training. There was no sign of him there.
“My lady, are you looking for Himejima-sama?”You were startled by the voice of your older servant, Yoko. “Himejima-sama woke up early to train near the waterfall.”
It didn’t take long for you to go there and watch your husband do intense training. You can only watch from afar, as you do not want to talk to Himejima for now. The view of the stone hashira withstanding the pressure from the waterfall. With the time you spent knowing your husband, he only does intense training when he’s stressed after a battle where he could’ve saved many lives. However, to your knowledge, something like that did not happen previously.
This story has a Part 3.

Tumblr media
your existence could be hashed over with one word.
purpose.
ever since you could remember, your entire life had been mapped out for you: what to eat, what to not eat, what to like, what to dislike, what to wear, your hobbies, your pastimes, your vocabulary—everything. apparently, every inane thing that had been shoved down your throat was only done to make you a dignified woman worthy of whichever lord they married you off to.
you and your family hailed from a long line of priests and priestesses, where the girls were raised to be proper wives and shrine maidens and the boys were carefully taught the profession in hopes of serving important figures throughout japan.
you were helping your mother tend to the flowers one day when a messenger from the ubuyashiki clan—a kakushi, as you heard they were called—appeared before your temple's door, asking your father to choose and provide the clan with one of his daughters.
you were picked immediately, and you had no choice but to stand before your father, trembling, and pretend that you agreed with his decision with a serene expression on your face. you could tell this was just his way of finally getting rid of you.
in the words of your father behind closed doors, if someone couldn't be bothered to have the decency to visit the temple in person and instead sent a mere messenger to request a carefully trained shrine maiden, it was clear they didn't deserve the best of what he could offer.
you smiled, agreeing with him.
when you went to pack what little things you had, nobody was in the shared quarters; at least you would spare yourself of your sisters' cruel remarks over your father's decision. you did not have many things of your own; you packed your hairbrush, a book, and what few things you held dear.
the kakushi was waiting outside when you emerged. trying to maintain a semblance of calm, you offered him a small smile. he looked at you with curiosity but did not say anything. kindly, he allowed you a moment for a brief prayer before the buddha statue at the front of the temple. then, you were off.
no one came to say goodbye to you.
it was alright, you supposed. the only person you could think fondly of was your mother, and a barbed wire of melancholy slowly wound around your heart at the thought of not being able to part ways properly. you knew that she preferred you over her other daughters, but even so, you were aware that she would never hear the end of it from your father if she came to say her farewells. you would write to her.
you were the third of six sisters, and always, one of them was more talented than you were, just a tad bit more attractive, just a tad bit more creative, just a tad bit more charming. sure, you were well-versed in the duties of a useful spouse—okay, all your sisters were as well. what good was that when you had nothing special about you? what was it your father called you? ah, yes, mediocre.
the kakushi did not speak to you for the entire trip, for which reason you did not know. a question hung on the tip of your tongue, although you dared not ask it. at some point, he urged you to wear a blindfold and climb on his back, which you simply accepted, knowing better than to ask.
you didn't make anything out during the journey, only listening to the sound of small pebbles vibrating against the ground as he made his way up a mountain. after what felt like hours, he finally put you down, gently tugging the blindfold off you and allowing your eyes to adjust to the bright light of morning.
once you were presentable, he escorted you toward the estate entrance. you could tell he was a bit off put by the way you were just accepting things, but he didn't say anything about it.
the kakushi stopped before the towering gate of the ubuyashiki mansion and offered you a deep bow. you thanked him, and you could see him smile with his eyes before he left. another kakushi, a woman this time, escorted you toward a graveled garden, a small figure sitting by the engawa.
she knelt on the ground and bowed her head, and you did the same until she picked herself from the ground.
looking forward, you met the gaze of a boy who looked to be around the age of fifteen, with kohl black hair that sat just above his shoulders. he had the most beautiful eyes you had ever seen, so easy to look at, lavender tainting the irises. he had the calming smile of a buddha, and although knowing nothing about him beyond reputation, you felt at ease with him.
"i am kagaya. i trust your journey went smoothly? thank you for your patience, maiden. i apologize for not going to your temple in person, i hope your priest will forgive me. believe me, i wanted to, but i'm afraid my illness would not have allowed me to make the trip."
the boy's voice was unlike any other you had ever heard, fluid and gentle, causing a wave of reassurance to wash over you. you felt at ease immediately, as though something had just taken every burden off your shoulders and instead shrouded you in a cloud of repose.
"it was no trouble, oyakata-sama, truly." you followed this with a deep incline of your head, your own voice remaining serene and mellow, "it is an honor to be in your presence."
kagaya smiled. "your temple is of great renown. my clan has had the pleasure of counting with your priests and maidens across the centuries. there is no need for such formalities, child."
granted, you were sure you were older than him by a few years, but the way he called you 'child' was comforting, and you were not about to question him, simply keeping quiet.
"you are to marry one of my pillars, maiden. he is an honorable man, the lord of stone, i am sure the two of you will get along. he should arrive any moment now."
you willed yourself to say something, yet you simply could not. you were not the first maiden who was given to a lord for marriage, and you certainly wouldn't be the last. still, your heart did a flip at the simple notion of ending up in a similar situation as your mother, forced to produce offspring until your husband found you undesirable.
for a moment, a cold hand wrapped around your heart in fear of what that man would do with you. however, the single thought of the young boy before you lying about the pillar's honor revolted you. he was telling the truth, and if he said the stone pillar was a good man, then you had nothing to fear.
softly, the sound of footsteps reached your ears, and you turned slightly to see a towering figure approaching, his presence both imposing and serene all at once.
the man who stood before you was unlike any you had ever seen. large beyond comparison, clad in the dark robes of a uniform and a green haori. his stature was immense, with muscles that seemed chiseled from stone. he was young, with an impassive face, yet undeniably handsome. his eyes, clouded with a milky whiteness, told you that he could not see, yet he moved with a grace that belied his blindness.
"this is himejima gyomei, the stone pillar," kagaya introduced, "he has been chosen as your betrothed, and i trust that you will find solace and strength in his presence."
gyomei walked toward you, his movements slow and deliberate, his footsteps echoing throughout the garden—
your breath hitched as he knelt before you, reaching his hand out. but instead of what you expected, he pressed his palm against your cheek, his voice reverberating like a chiming bell inside a cathedral. he caressed your cheek as one would treat an injured butterfly.
"maiden beloved," he murmured, tears spilling from his eyes, "i apologize for making you wait."
the ceremony was that same day, quick and endearing.
you were married in front of oyakata-sama, his wife, and other members of the corps as witnesses. before you knew it, the wedding concluded, and your husband guided you to your new home with you by his side.
gyomei was not acting like he had been given you as some justly won right to do with as he pleased. that set your heart at ease, greatly so, and in some way, it was like he could tell, too. he was walking slowly, allowing you to keep up with his large strides. small talk filled the empty silence of the way home as he listed all the things you would assist him with.
you were to cook for him, clean the estate daily and take care of it when he was away, write letters for him and read them when he received any, and...
huh. that was it.
Tumblr media
getting used to your routine was easier than anticipated as weeks passed, although you would be lying to yourself if you said that gyomei's patience and demeanor weren't helping you in the slightest.
he had insisted that you sleep in a separate bedroom within the estate, taking into account that despite being your husband, he was still a complete stranger to you. the very moment you reached your new home, he made sure to explicitly tell you that he did not wish to embarrass you or cause you discomfort in any way, shape, or form.
during mornings, you would naturally wake up at the crack of dawn, your training making things much easier. you would dress yourself in the robes gyomei had gifted you for your wedding and make your way to the kitchen to start a big meal for the day. you'd wake him up then, guiding him to the kitchen to share breakfast together.
most of the time, you ate in silence, although you did not mind at all. after that, you would wash dishes, and he trained. the estate was not that big, so having to sweep the floor or dust the shelves daily did not bother you, and you instead found comfort in the repetitive routine. you would finish quite swiftly and urge gyomei inside again for tea time during noon.
you tried to entertain yourself as best as possible during the afternoons and evenings. usually, you would find yourself tending to a small garden you'd created when you arrived. your husband would sometimes join you, captivated by the sweet smell of the flowers and the sensation of the earth beneath his fingertips. you would explain what the flowers looked like and how they were meant to be taken care of, and he, in turn, basked in your every word.
gardening duty was one of the things you enjoyed most back at the temple, and since no one else was willing to get their hands dirty, you were the maiden who would regularly take care of the flowers.
you bought flower seeds during your first trip to the market in the nearby town and took the time to introduce yourself to as many people as possible. the locals were very kind to you, and as you started frequenting the shops more and more, you were always being greeted by folks who wished you and your husband the best.
as months passed, your relationship with gyomei deepened in ways you had never expected. the initial tension and clumsiness of living with a stranger began to fade, replaced by a growing sense of familiarity and comfort.
gyomei, true to his word, respected your boundaries and gave you space to adjust at your own pace. however, small gestures of care and affection started to seep into your daily life. he would often leave freshly picked flowers from your garden by your bedroom door, their vibrant colors and sweet fragrance greeting you first thing in the morning. sometimes, he would assist you with household chores, his presence making the mundane tasks feel lighter and more enjoyable.
he began to pay attention to the little things, like how you offered wounded slayers who stumbled upon the estate a fresh meal and a place to redress their wounds, or how you fed the cats mingling around your shared home every single night, even noticing that you had taken the time to name them and remember everyone.
the town's people, too, played a part in your growing closeness. they would often remark on how harmonious you and gyomei seemed together, their kind words fortifying the bind that tied you together. you started to see the way gyomei interacted with them and how much respect the people had for him—and you couldn't help but admire him more each day.
your conversations, though initially skimpy and shallow, began to flow more naturally. gyomei's deep voice would rumble through stories of his past with the children of the orphanage, his experiences as a hashira, and the lessons he had learned along the way. you, in turn, shared snippets of your life at the temple, your family, your dreams, and your fears. it was through these conversations that you realized how much you had in common despite your different backgrounds.
anyone with a pair of working eyes would see it, or, at least, anyone who had known for at least once in their lifetime what a soul-stirring connection with another human felt like. you found comfort in his presence, seeking him out like a moth to a flame, and he, in yours, only wanted you to tend to his wounds after missions, fix his haori, or wait by himself outside just so he could pray by your side.
eventually, it got to a point where the separate bedrooms became less of a necessity and more of a formality. you often found yourself falling asleep together in the living room after long conversations or shared moments of silence. whenever you did manage to part ways, you always lingered by your door, a dreamy smile encasing your lips.
you could not deny yourself anymore. you were the happiest you had been in years.
one evening, as you both sat for dinner, the familiar quiet enveloping you like a warm blanket, gyomei's voice broke through the tranquility.
"i love you."
the bunch of food you were going to bring into your mouth splattered into the bowl again with a messy splash. oh. oh my god. you whipped your head toward your husband, who stared at you with a soft expression on his face.
"you do not have to say it back if you do not feel the same, but i wanted you to know." then, gyomei went back to chewing his food as if he had not said what he had just said.
"why?"
gyomei shifted his head in your direction with a worried expression, your teary tone and doddering heartbeat doing nothing to mitigate his apprehension. he tried to reach for you, but you jerked away from him. he could tell that whatever you were feeling was not directed toward him, but still, it pained him greatly to know you were suffering.
"g-gyomei, i—"
your hands were shaking, and he reached for them to trace your skin with the pads of his thumbs. he opened his mouth, but you beat him to it as you keeled over, shoulders trembling as sobs left your mouth, your usual calmness thrown out the window.
"y-you said that you wouldn't embarrass me! there is nothing special about me. what is it about me that you could possibly love? you're always so good to me," you were throwing word vomit at this point, and the worst part was you did not even know where it was coming from, "i haven't done anything to receive your affection! i'm just doing the things i'm supposed to do..."
tears slid down his cheeks before he could stop them, and he leaned forward to pull you into his embrace. your body completely froze, an unknown emotion taking over. gyomei had never initiated contact before. most of the time, you had to be the one to grab his hand or tug his collar.
"my little maiden... you have no idea how precious you are to me," gyomei murmured, his voice impossibly gentle and firm. he held you close, his large, comforting presence grounding you as your sobs began to subside. "you see yourself through the harsh lens of your own eyes, but i see the truth of your heart with my own. your unconditional kindness, your strength, your sincerity—these are just some of the reasons i love you."
his words seeped into your cold heart, slowly quieting the tempest inside. you couldn't understand how someone as incredible, kind, and powerful as gyomei could see such worth in you, but the sincerity in his voice and the warmth of his embrace made you want to believe him.
"you don't have to prove your worth to me or anyone," he continued, his voice alleviating your wounded spirit. "you are enough, just as you are. your presence in my life is a blessing, and i am grateful for you every single day."
"gyomei," you whispered, your voice trembling but no longer with fear. "i… i love you too. i was just scared. scared that i wasn't enough for you."
he smiled softly, wiping away your tears with his thumbs. "you are more than enough, my love. and i will spend the rest of all my lifetimes showing you just how much you mean to me."

My design for Gyomei’s parents! Now, i will be going into my headcanons for this family but before i do I will be stating what is canon! My headcanons will be below the cut!
CANON INFO
Gyomei and his family lived in a clan on Mount Hinode
Gyomei's father (unnamed) died in an epidemic while his mother (unnamed) died during childbirth
He lost his 3 brother (one older, two younger) due to unknown circumstances.
MY HEADCANONS!
Hiroki Himejima (Gyomei's Father)
The leader of the clan, title passed down from eldest to eldest in the Himejima family. A very well respected man and a good, reasonable leader who's only flaw (in this regard) was his belief in second chances.
Though hes an imposing figure (8ft and bulky, but skinner than current Gyomei), he rarely raised his voice or abused his intimidating aura. He would deny his 'softness' as a leader in fear of losing the respect of his people, but his 'stern' persona was often broken when it came to the domestic life of the Village.
His cleft lip has been with him since birth, and due to the lack of medical knowledge, the village was not aware of how to fix it. In his youth, he was very embarrassed by the defect but thankfully because of his family's position he wasnt bullied because of it. It took him becoming the leader for him to get over his insecurities, as he had more pressing things to worry about over his appearance.
He and Risa were an arranged marriage between to villages as a sign of peace and trading. Hiroki wasn't too thrilled about the opposing village's methods of bargaining, but he knew it was better to accept it than refuse and cause possible issues. Plus, he thought Risa was a beautiful woman, even more so with her rougher side.
Their marriage was, purely, for connivence at the beginning and Hiroki made sure that Risa knew she had no obligations to any intimate or romantic activities with him. But as they grew older and closer, a genuine relationship began to form between them which eventually lead to them having their three sons!
Sadly, while Risa was half way pregnant with their fourth child, Hiroki (as well as many others in the village) fell ill to an epidemic which sadly took his life.
Risa Himejima (Gyomei's Mother)
Risa was the daughter of the opposing clan's Elder. Sadly, her mother died before birthing a son to take the roll of elder, leaving her as the only child. Her father wasnt the kindest to her because of this and was quite eager to marry her off and tried multiple times so she wouldn't be able to become Elder.
(To be Elder, you'd have to be born to the current Elder with their last name. If all possible inheritors of the title die/marry out of the namesake, the Elder is the able to pick whom to give their last name to to become the new Elder)
This obviously lead to quite a strain in their relationship, but Risa didn't care. In her mind, her father died with her mother and the only thing she shared with the man is blood and a last name (which she wanted to change, but on her own accord!)
She is a soft and beautiful looking woman, but surprisingly the woman can be rather bitter and spiteful but she doesnt enjoy that side of her. In truth, she keeps a nasty attitude in hopes of deterring men from accepting her father's arrange marriage proposals, which had worked up until Hiroki.
Risa was surprised when Hiroki accepted the marriage, and believed it was purely for his village/clan's sake- which it was, and strangely enough that made her more at ease. And when he told her she had no real obligations to acting like his wife? Risa was ecstatic but also very very cautious, so much so that she wouldn't sleep in the same room as the man for months.
Eventually, when the two started to fall in love and have children, Risa was determined to be there for her kids. She took her health very seriously, doing everything she could to make sure she'd see her kids grow old.
Sadly, the lasting effects of the epidemic, she would die during childbirth of her last child.

What about Hashiras x Enid Sinclair! Reader?
Gender-neutral reader, who is a normal citizen and not a demon slayer. Arranged marriage but still in love.
Tumblr media
Gyomei Himejima
You both were betrothed to each other at a young age because your family was scared about you not finding a mate due to your inability to ‘wolf-out’. It didn’t matter to the two of you, since you loved each other all the same. He didn’t even mind you not being able to transform as it didn’t make a difference: he was blind, after all.
As his fiance, you would typically be the one to lead him about your estate so he could rest his other senses… other than his hearing. You often talked a lot, and he did not mind it one bit. Of course, you respected his space while he prayed to the gods above, but other than that you were very affectionate with him.
So, the job of a demon slayer is a very gruesome and gory one, especially if you are a Hashira. You, unfortunately, pass out at the sight of blood. He experienced you passing out the first time when he came home to you with blood all over himself. He used his senses to catch you before you hit the floor.
Tumblr media
Mitsuri Kanroji
She doesn’t care if you are unable to wolf-out either, she just loves you as you are. To be honest, she really did not like your mother, and we all know that she generally likes everyone. But, since she was one of the Hashira, your family (mother) couldn’t resist the temptation in getting you betrothed to her.
The two of you could go on and on with each other. You loved talking with your fiance, as she did you and it led to many wholesome moments between you both. You were more extroverted than she was, which meant that you often stood up for her in confrontational situations. It was funny because she was supposed to be a courageous Hashira but she acted like a damsel in distress when you were around.
Alright, so you pass out whenever you see something gory. The first time that Mitsuri had to save you from hitting your head on the floor was when her haori had some splotches of blood, and she told you that her mission got bloody. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as you dropped to the floor, and the Love Hashira had to act fast or else you might get hurt.

Honestly, he’s just glad that you can defend yourself with your claws. He doesn’t care if you can’t turn into a full werewolf. Being betrothed to him means that you have a mate even if you didn’t turn into a lycanthrope, so your family/mother at least did something right. However, if you still feel insecure about your inability, he will be there to comfort you to the best of his ability (which isn’t saying much but the man is trying).
You were definitely the more extroverted one, and it at first caused Giyu to become annoyed. But, he grew to love that about you, and he grew to love hearing your voice once he walked into your residence. It made him realize that he wasn’t alone anymore, and that he had someone to come back to after each and every mission.
Passing out isn’t exactly what one would call a ‘hobby’, but with the amount of times you would see dried blood on Giyu’s haori and faint you would think that you enjoy doing it in your spare time. The first time, your fiance panicked because he thought you died until he held a knife to your upper lip and saw that the blade was fogging up, indicating that you were indeed still breathing. The sigh of relief he let out was very surprising.
Tumblr media
Tengen Uzui
You were his 4th spouse, and he didn’t really care if you couldn’t transform into a werewolf. If you felt bad, then he and his wives would prepare meals that would get your body into the perfect condition. When you finally do, he just about hosts a full-on festival in your honor. I mean, there were enough decorations and people.
Honestly, you fit right into the family. Your husband and wives all love you so very much, and they make sure that you never forget it. You were very chatty and vibrant, and it caused more joy within your home. Tengen enjoyed hearing each of his spouses giggling with each other when he entered the house after a hard mission.
The first time he experienced you passing out was when he came home with a wound. It wasn’t horrible, and he would most likely get better and heal, but seeing the bloodied bandages was too much for you. Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru caught you before you hit the ground, and Tengen was trying to get you to wake up. You were eventually splashed with cold water. Sorry.
Tumblr media
Sanemi Shinazugawa
He was not for the idea at first, especially when he found out that you were the ‘runt’ of the litter who couldn’t wolf-out. However, he actually got to meet you and he hated to admit that he was in love. Now, he stands up for you against your family whenever they shame you for not being able to turn into a werewolf.
For the first few days of living with each other, it was a bit awkward. You wanted to try talking to your new husband, but the vibes were off for you. Eventually, you got used to each other and he would ask you to talk to him to fill the silence of the home. This may or may not have been spurred by your closeness with his brother, as Sanemi has seen you talking to Genya a lot.
You first passed out when your husband came back with a bunch of new wounds and even a few re-opened once. Your brother-in-law had to splash some cold water onto your face while Sanemi held your head up and off of the ground. Both men let out a sigh of relief when they heard your gasp from the sudden cold feeling.
Tumblr media
Shinobu Kocho
She was very intrigued when your family basically arranged the whole marriage because they were scared you wouldn’t find a mate. If you didn’t mind, she ran a few tests on you and one of your brothers to see if the issue was internal and if she could help you in any way. That’s not to say that she judges you for your inability, but rather she wants to help you prove yourself to your family that you are as significant as any of them.
Not going to lie, she enjoys having a spouse to come home to after missions. It takes a while to get used to, as she is not used to someone hugging her once she returns to the Butterfly Estate, but it’s nice. All the anger that she feels quickly dissipates when you wrap your arms around her. Depending on how tall you are, she will either lean her head into your chest or crook of your neck as all her muscles relax.
The first time you passed out due to seeing blood was when a demon slayer was sent to the Estate to be treated by your lovely wife. You walked in as she was drawing blood and you couldn’t take it so you fell to the floor. She rushed over and called some of the Kakushi to help get you into bed so she could make sure you were alright.
Tumblr media
Kyojuro Rengoku
He was definitely angry at how your mother treated you, and he was glad that she found you a perfect suitor (himself) to assure that you had a mate. He did not judge you for not being able to turn into a werewolf, and he believed that it would happen in due time. But, if you still feel bad about it, he will ask Shinobu to run some tests to see if the problem is an imbalance within your body.
Rengoku sees how kind you are towards his brother and he feels his heart pounding against his chest. The room is filled with laughter between the three of you, until Shinjuro ruins the fun and yells at you guys to quiet down. You are very close to just wolfing out right then and there because the man had too much audacity in his hands.
The first time you passed out from seeing blood was when your husband came back from a mission and he had a large wound on his arm. Usually he would go to the Butterfly Estate but he just couldn’t wait to see you. Maybe he should have, considering Senjuro had to catch you before you hit the floor.
Tumblr media
Obanai Iguro
Both of your families were incredibly toxic, so they chose the ‘runts of the litter’ to wed each other. It ended up working in your favor though, considering you both loved each other. It wasn’t always that way, though. In the beginning, it was very awkward because you both kind of married each other without properly getting to know one another.
Over time, the two of you got closer. Obanai grew to love hearing your excited voice whenever he got home or whenever he got you something that you liked from one of his missions. It made him feel like he was doing something right and that he had something semi-normal in his life for once. He loved seeing your smile that one time when he brought a flower back from the market.
Alright, so the first time you passed out due to seeing something gruesome is kind of a funny story. Your husband decided to show you what was under the bandages, and you fainted. You had to later explain that you had never been able to handle seeing wounds, and that it wasn’t him specifically. Poor man was scared that you were scared of him.
Tumblr media
Muichiro Tokito
After his brother’s death, his family was trying to find him a spouse in the case that he passed and there was no one to continue the bloodline. Your family needed to find you a mate in the case that you are left behind by the rest of the pack. So, both parties worked it out and the two of you were wed.
He at first doesn’t pay too much attention to you, considering he still stares off into space. You notice though and ask him to fill you in on his thoughts. You both often go cloud-gazing as small dates whenever you get the chance. Muichiro does love how excited you get whenever he asks you out on a date, even though you are married.
The first time you passed out due to seeing a lot of blood was when he came back from a mission and you were staying at the Butterfly Estate. He had a rather large wound, and once you saw it you fainted. He quickly snapped out of his daydream and yelled your name. Luckily, Shinobu was there to reassure your husband that you were alright and to make sure that you woke up.

The Pillars arranged a conference between themselves and the other parents with the school to talk about their children's behavior. The discussion was already starting on a bitter note, until one of the Karen moms snarked that Tanjirou's marriage with the Pillars is unnatural and not a very good influence on pups. One of the fathers let out a disgusting remark about Tanjirou not being a husband but more of a live in prostitute.
That's when the scum gets tackled to the ground by Obanai and Muichiro.
It certainly does not end well for him. Because Tanjirou is too hurt to stop his spouses at first.
Himejima is so angry he asks that particular man (after Giyuu pulls Muichiro and Obanai away from him) not to get close to his family and Tanjirou in particular ever again.
His words and his demeanor are more terrifying that Obanai's hiss or Muichiro's growl.

Hello my Tumblr Peeps... For this fanfic I will be writing about the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima, who will be the staring character for this fanfic, I'm writing 🪨💪😃
*This fanfic contains 1 or more long paragraphs and may contain plenty of pronouns in 1 or more paragraphs😅
Tumblr media
🪨Getting Married To The Stone Hashira Through An Arranged Marriage🪨((Demon Slayer, aka, Kimestu no Yaiba) Gyomei Himejima x afab (assigned female at birth) They/Them Reader)
Genres: Angst, Possible Comfort, and Fluff (Warning⚠️: Bullying (atleast mentions of it), Mentions of murder (and possibly other forms of death), and Manga spoiler(s))
Eversince you were a child, you could never be your true self nor had sight of your true self. Any hobbies you enjoyed either your family isn't interested in or hated your hobbies, then they turn around to force their hobbies on you, as if they believe you have no boundaries with them. You also do all of the chores in the house, which they either complain, or never give you any credit, or one or more other members in your family take all of the credit, or they make you do more chores all by yourself with unrealistic expectations.
To make matters worse, the people in your village, even the children around your age, would either hide from you, or shun you, or judge you, or poke fun at you, because of the reader was born with (up to reader's imagination on anything the reader is born with). The villagers had also took advantage of your obedience, which will always lead you to either getting in trouble, or nearly killed, or realizing you were deceived when it's too late. The villagers even mentioned in a mean way about using you as a sacrifice, if any demons ever come to terrorize the village, you were living in.
The other thing is, you were born as a female, however eversince you were little, you knew you had pronouns are different than being born female somehow. The problem is you were afraid to come out with your pronouns, due to how your family is and knowing what the villagers are capable of. So, you had a hard time trusting anyone, because of those reasons, which is why you keeps everything to yourself.
As the years went by and you're now an adult , your parents discussed with you about an arranged marriage they kind of set up for you. Deep down, you were worried that things will be a repeat with this arranged marriage alot, like things we're on repeat almost everyday with your family, or the villagers, or both, however at the same time you also deep down felt like depending on this person you were supposed to be arranged to marry, your life definitely couldn't get much worse than it already had been with your family and the villagers making your life miserable, as it is, anyways. You just secretly ended up having mixed feelings (excited and happy, however scared and nervous, at the same time) about your arranged marriage your parents set up for you.
When the day you will get to meet the man your parents set you up with for your arranged marriage finally came, your parents took you to a bridge, so you can finally meet the man your parents are about to have you marry. It was afternoon when you finally met the man your parents set you up with for your arranged marriage, you noticed his eyes were somehow strange, however kind at the same time, his face looking sad or teary eyed, had dark hair, a form of a red necklace, a scar across his forehead, and with different clothes than what you usually see with anyone else. The man introduced himself and said, "So, this must be the one, I will marry... My name is, Gyomei Himejima... I'm the man who will marry you... What's your name?". You then replied, "My name is, (afab they/them reader name sir)...", knowing what intentions your parents have with the arranged marriage they set up for you, while not knowing the man's intentions were with marrying you. Your parents were happy to give you away for the arranged marriage.
Once the day of your wedding has come, this was the first time you heard most everyone (mainly your family and the villagers) cheer for anything good that happened to you. You just low-key know that it's only because they're happy they won't have to see you anymore after that day and you felt the same about them for how they treated you for atleast most of your life. As both you and Gyomei said your and his "I dos", your vows, you came up with and the vows he said that seemingly came from his soul, the both of you the kissed eachother.
After the wedding you walked with Gyomei to his place since you will be living with him now. He then said, "You definitely will be in a safe place now, (afab they/them reader name)... You see, I have overheard the people in your village saying mean stuff to you and about you and how they have been treating you for so many years, just because you were born with (up to reader's imagination on anything the reader is born with)... So, I came up with a way to rescue you, once I somehow bumped into your parents... No one ever knew my true intentions... Your parents did nothing, but complain about you about you, which the way they sounded, they don't seem nice to you... I played along and offer an arranged marriage for you inorder for them to not see you again, which I figured it would be something everyone might agree to without getting you in harms way... I didn't do this out of pity... I did this from the bottom of my heart for you... You may not know me in anyway... Maybe we will get to know eachother more, my spouse...". You were surprised to hear him say this to you and the fact he wanted you to have a better life than you did when you were living in the village you used to live in. For what he said to you, has gotten you to trust him a little bit.
When you got to his place, the inside of his place looked very nice and was the most beautiful place you had ever seen. "You can take a look around... It's okay, (afab they/them reader name)...", Gyomei encouraged. You then looked around the whole place, especially the bedroom he will be sharing with you. The blanket and the pillows even looked very pretty and feel very comfy, as you gave him a surprised look, trying to get used to anyone ever being very kind to you, the way he has been kind to you.
Gyomei then asked, "I know you're born female and all, however are there any specific pronouns you would like to have me go by, (afab they/them reader name)?". You were amazed that anyone has ever asked you about your pronouns, as you then answered, "Ofcourse, Gyomei... I'm surprised anyone has asked me this. I was born female, however I knew I had pronouns that aren't exactly female nor a male honestly. I honestly am not sure how to describe it, honestly... The problem with my pronouns is that I was very timid to come out to anyone about this, because of how your family is and knowing what the villagers treated me. I just ended up having trouble trusting anyone for a very long time. So I kept that to myself fearing, my family and the other villagers would treat me much worse than they already have, especially on how conservative they are in general, sadly. Infact I just fear being myself, because of how I was treated in the first place, so I felt forced to pretend to be not be anything that I am and hold how I feel about anything in... Thank you for your warm welcome and care, Gyomei...". He then walked over to hug before replying, "You're very welcome, my kind soul... And shall I go by they/them for your pronouns then? I figured I'd ask before I do use they/them pronouns, because from what I'm understanding, I feel that you're pronouns might be they/them.". "Ofcourse, you can... I never really thought of they/them pronouns before and I have a feeling that they/them pronouns will work for me...", you replied back, as you held his hands.
Gyomei then opens up to you about his life, especially about the fact his eyes are the way they are due to when he was a child he became blind from a fever he had and taking care of the orphan children which unfortunately majority of the children were killed by a demon, while only one orhan named Sayo survived the attack, then unfortunately he (Gyomei) was imprisoned by mistake, and other parts of his life on how he eventually became a Hashira, while he explained what a Demon Slayer is and what a Hashira is. You were shocked he told you about what happened with his life and now you understand more about his intentions on why he rescued you with an arranged marriage his convinced your parents about. "Maybe tomorrow, I can start showing you off to the Demon Slayer Corps, starting with taking you to the Butterfly Mansion... I'm sure you will definitely have a warm welcome from everyone at the Butterfly Mansion, especially the Insect Hashira, Shinobu... Not just because you're my spouse... With your kind soul I think alot of the people through the Demon Slayer Corps will like you, especially if you be yourself.", He happily mentioned to you, as he continued to hold you, until you fall asleep. He then set you underneath the blanket and tucked you in before he went underneath the same blanket he had you underneath, proceeding to cuddle you without waking you up, until he fell into a deep peaceful sleep.
🪨The End🪨
This is another fanfic that took me a long time to complete, anyways I hope you enjoyed this Gyomei fanfic, my Tumblr Peeps💪🪨😃👍 I really wanted to write a fanfic about him and a fanfic pertaining arranged marriage, so I figured why not write about both, while I wanted to work on an arranged marriage and have Gyomei Himejima have good intentions pertaining the arranged marriage😁👍 I just feel the situation that the reader would be in would fit Gyomei, atleast well😃👍So, hopefully reading this Gyomei Himejima fanfic will make your day and/or night🌞☀️🌕🌝😁👍

omg yes!!!! Fuck swords and breathing techniques let’s categorize them by potential smut works yey 🤠
Gyuu deserves the world, definitely can see some soul mate work full of passion combine with shyness resulting in mutual pining hunf 😤 good stuff
Sanemi enemy to lovers without a doubt and all that roughness and cursing has so much potential and tracing his scars with your tongue and calling him pretty boy just to leave him speechless pls 🤤
Uzui and the wives let’s be honest just full straight porn without a plot who are we kidding right?
This is so fun!! here are my takes:
The Nine Hashira as fic tropes
1. Tomioka Giyuu, Water Pillar: yes yes mutual pining but spECifICALLY culminating in a 'there's only one bed' scenario which he is too oblivious to see the issue with until he's in the actual bed like ... oh.
2. Rengoku Kyojoro, Flame Pillar: childhood best friends to lovers (also angst for.... obvious reasons.)
3. Tengen Uzui, Sound Pillar: i would be remiss if i did not say arranged marriage (but can i also interest you in 'fuck or die' trope??)
4. Iguro Obanai, Serpent Pillar: ooooh this snakey lil guy.... i'm gonna say like a mafia!au?? but specifically star-crossed lovers, Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo + Juliet' (1996) style.
5. Shinazugawa Sanemi, Wind Pillar: enemies to lovers is so accurate it hurts but COUPLED with the 'lets just get this out of our system' trope
6. Kocho Shinobu, Insect Pillar: ok this might be out of left field but i'm getting fake dating/fake engagement?? she's like it's no big deal!! no one will know!! and then next thing you know it's a little too real but the joke has gone on for too long
7. Kanroji Mitsuri, Love Pillar: ok this hurts but i have to say it - hanahaki disease/unrequited love
8. Himejima Gyomei, Stone Pillar: older brother's best friend on god
9. Tokito Muichiro, Mist Pillar: idk he is baby 2 me

Domestic Hashira: Part 3 (Himejima x Reader)
Tumblr media
Title: Domestic Hashira Chapter 3 (Himejima x Reader)
Word Count: 1716  words
Description: (Y/n) and Gyomei navigating the unfamiliar territory of an arranged marriage.
Part 2
. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.
The whole day, you and Himejima did not speak a word to each other.  You shared lunch together and both of you spent the rest of the afternoon with your usual duties and Himejima training hard as ever. It only felt like a day, but you did not want to be with Himejima like this. It was awkward, peculiar, and uncomfortable. You missed your husband.
After your bath, you stepped outside the bathroom to the changing area to change into your sleepwear. you were startled by a large, familiar form in the corner. Himejima was changing there, his movements muffled by the fabric. To your surprise, this caused you to jump and let out a small scream. Gyomei was taken aback. "I apologize, (y/n). I didn't realize you were coming in," he said, his voice filled with genuine remorse.
You instinctively covered yourself, but then realized the absurdity of your action. After all, Himejima was blind and already partially clothed. The giant man quickly left the room with his robe in his arms. You couldn’t help, but wonder how much he has to avoid you. This did not help with how you feel, but only tested your insecurities.
It wasn’t long until you had to be in a position of discomfort because of your current situation. Spending the night sleeping beside Gyomei while a tense atmosphere lingered between you. This made you feel uneasy, so you decided to pack up your futons and sleep in the other room. It feels heavy to be sleeping beside him, with everything that’s going on.
Gyomei entered the room to sense you packing your futons. Though Himejima was blind, he could figuratively read the room as he could hear you putting away your beddings. Even so, he didn’t assume. Instead he asks you, “(Y/n), what are you doing?”
You remained silent for a moment, not answering him immediately. The feeling of speaking feels weird. It’s like there is a lump in your throat trying to hold you back from speaking with him. “(Y/n),” he called out again.
“I'm sleeping in the other room,” you replied, your voice barely a whisper. The towering man beside you froze.
“Can we please talk about what happened?” he asked, his voice filled with concern. “Gyomei, do you still want me to be your wife?” you countered, your question a direct challenge. He was taken aback by your sudden inquiry.
“Yes, I do want you to be my wife, (y/n),” he responded, his voice firm.
You felt perplexed even if you heard Himejima's voice to admit that he still feels that way for you. An itch you couldn’t scratch is why he would go to certain extent to avoid you at those hours. It was your first argument as a married couple, but you didn’t understand Gyomei’s actions recently. That night made you feel unloved by him and your insecurities got the best of you. It wasn’t about the action of him refusing you, but thinking about how he could show you that much love then quickly get tired of you. “Then, I don't understand,” you said, your tone growing more agitated. “What is it that's wrong with me?”
“No, nothing is wrong with you–”
“Then why? I feel so unloved, Gyomei. You make me feel like I’m not your wife.” Your voice broked as you confessed your feelings to him. Gyomei with all his heightened senses tried his best to gauge how you felt emotionally. However, you felt hurt so much that you walked out with haste.
As you stepped outside, a chilling breeze swept through the air. You shivered, not just from the cold, but from the sense of unease that had taken hold of you. You ran away without thinking of anything, but just to get away from everything until you hear the sound of the waterfall where you saw Gyomei train. You stopped to catch your breath. Suddenly, a dark figure emerged from the shadows, its eyes glowing with an eerie light.
Panic surged through you as the demon lunged towards you. You screamed, your heart pounding in your chest. Trembling with fear that was quite familiar–the night you lost your parents. With your memories flashing from that event, it did not exactly help you, but added torment with your fear. You slowly try to walk away as the demon was observing how it could feast on you. It was hopeless as you have no defense against him. Just as it seemed you were about to be devoured, Himejima burst out of the forest, his weapon drawn.
With a fierce cry, he engaged the demon in battle. The clash of steel echoed through the night as they fought. You watched in horror, your fear turning to relief as Himejima managed to strike a fatal blow. The demon disappeared from your sight. Exhausted and relieved, Himejima turned to you. He could sense how afraid you were, he wiped the smear of blood that splashed on your face and put away the strands of your hair that were covering your face. You clung to him, your body trembling and eyes are tired from the whole incident that happened throughout the night. Himejima carried your body, bridal style.
On the way home, your hand was gripping on Gyomei’s clothing, the fear of the horror you witnessed still lingered on your mind. As that reminded you of the night your parents were taken away from you. That night with your parents was the last time you ever encountered an attack and did not expect to see more of it.
It was not long until both of you returned to your house safely. Your eyes were barely open, you could feel Himejima placing you gently on a soft futon. “Gyomei,” you whispered his name. Thus, with the comfort the futon gave you, your eyes gave up, and you slept.
You were awakened by the warm feeling from a huge boulder-like form. There is a slight pain in your head that didn’t help much with your sight. A hot breath can be felt on top of your head. You try to collect yourself to understand the situation around you. As your eyes open, you can clearly see the situation you were in. The room was lit up with the sun’s morning rays. Himejima’s arms wrapped around you, holding you tight as his body faces you. You noticed that he did not have that rumbling voice as usual whenever he sleeps. You moved your head up to take a closer look at him and observe his face. He was sleeping peacefully. Your hand cupped his face and your thumb rubbed his cheek.
You cannot help, but wonder how precious your husband was. The memories of the night were still fresh, though you felt differently. Last night, you were attacked by a demon and that made you recollect the memories of your late parents. The fear of last night was not mainly from the demon attack, but you realized that much of your fear comes from the thought of losing someone you love–Gyomei. You are aware that your situation with your husband has not yet been resolved, but that’s barely an enigma for you to face compared to losing your beloved husband at all.
Himejima was slowly waking himself up from his slumber. He moved slightly and pulled you into a tight embrace which caused you to let out a small utter cry of pain, “Ow.” With the sound of your voice, Himejima noticed that you were awake.
“(Y/n),” he called your name and tried to pull his arms away from you. “I apologize, I hope I didn’t cause you any harm.”
“A little, but not at all,” you told him and let out a chuckle.
Himejima did not speak a word after that as he was afraid that he might say the wrong words or do more damage from everything. Your eyes stared at him and you could see the nervousness on his face. So, you started the conversation with him to clear the air up.
“Gyomei–”
Before you could utter a word or so, you were cut off by Himejima. “(Y/n), I apologize for the way I made you feel. I didn’t mean to push you away like that.” Your eyes lit up at his words, you were silent for a while but you still wanted to understand him even more.
“It was hard for me to understand everything that night with the two of us. I thought you did not want any part of me anymore,” you confessed.
The guilt was plain on the gentle giant's face as you spoke. He seemed worried about your well-being. “No, no. It’s nothing like that. If anything, it was my mistake to push you away. I want to be with you, (y/n). I was just not accustomed to things like that and I was afraid that if we ever reached that point, I would be able to hurt you in that.”
As you listened to his words, a wave of relief washed over you. His vulnerability and honesty were something you hadn't expected. You realized that his fear of hurting you was rooted in his own insecurities and past experiences.
“Gyomei, I understand you. I want to be with you too. I want to experience everything with you in sickness and in health, in every pain, in every happiness, in every feeling there is. I hope you understand how I feel about you.“ A curve from the Stone Hashira’s face has formed and you can tell by his expression that it is genuine.
“Thank you. I’m glad that we talked about this,” he said as he reached out to hold your hand. You felt a deep connection forming between you. It was clear that your relationship was taking a significant step forward. Gyomei planted a kiss on your forehead and you tickled the side of his torso which caused him to jerk a little and laugh.
This was another step forward for your relationship with Gyomei, a cathartic release of shared pain that forged a deeper bond between you as husband and wife. As you opened up to each other, a newfound understanding and empathy bloomed, strengthening the fabric of your relationship.
This story will have a Part 4

“He shall arrive shortly,” Amane mumbled as she sat beside you. You took a deep breath and assured yourself that you have prepared yourself for this day. Being a distant relative of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, you were destined to marry and expected to produce an heir. Thus, you knew this marriage was not from a love match, but rather an arranged marriage to ensure the heirs of your bloodline of any curses. Ever since you lost both of your parents at an early age, it did feel lonely only having distant relatives around you. A part of you was nervous about meeting the man you to spend your life with. You were embellished with a beautiful wedding garment and patiently waiting for the man you are bound to marry. There were little to no expectations for your husband to be, but rather a kind man at the very least.
The door opened where Kagaya Ubuyashiki came in, followed by a huge man who towers at seven foot two, spiky dark hair, and covered with numerous crimson mala beads. A horizontal scar on his forehead and pale white eyes also has allowed you to be surprised at the appearance of the man. “Shall we start with the ceremony?” Ubuyashiki asked. Both of them made their way near you. Ubuyashiki found his way to sit at the opposite side of Amane as the stranger you ought to marry sat beside you. Though, you noticed his manners as he acknowledged your presence by bowing to you as he was sitting beside you.
The man is huge, very huge. This idea of him scared you a little, but you were not one to judge on a stranger you’re about to spend your life with. Though, he was attractive and unfamiliar. After the ceremony, both of you did exchange a word with each other. Although Amane has filled you in with everything you need to know about your husbands. Himejima Gyomei–that is his name–is the stone hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Though you are an Ubuyashiki, you were least involved with the Demon Slayer Corps as you were a distant relative and did other duties for the family. The information you got made you think that the man you married must be really strong as he is the strongest hashira. However, Amane never talked about how he is as a person, she focused on his qualifications which only enabled you to hope that he is indeed a kind man.
Both of you were brought to your household to start your family. As you arrived at your shared home, you found it a bit awkward considering he is a stranger. Nevertheless, you were taught to be a wife and ought to pursue a conversation with him to properly tend with your husband.  The silence after you both spoke at the same time stretched, punctuated only by the chirping of crickets outside. You stole a glance at Gyomei, his face unreadable beneath the stoic mask. Clearing your throat, you decided to take the plunge.
“I–” both of you uttered and cut off each other. “I apologize. I didn't mean to interrupt. Please, go ahead,” Himejima continues. A short silence occurred between the both of you.
“Hiimejim–” he cuts you off before you can finish, “Gyomei. You can call me Gyomei.” A light flickered in your eyes as you stared at him with awe.
"Gyomei," you repeated, testing the name on your lips. He nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “Shall we enter?” you ask him. He gave you a sly nod and led you to enter the house you shared with him first. As you entered, the servants greeted you both and toured you around your home. They also had prepared a separate bath for you and your husband before you met each other for dinner.
In the bath, you pondered about the things you’ve observed to be quite beguiling about your husband. You admit to yourself that there is a feeling of attraction with Himejima. That man had intimidating features that portrayed a very masculine form of a man. Despite your first impression, you can tell that Himejima has a compassionate nature. He was kind and respectful to the servants who greeted you both earlier. There’s still more you want to know about him and getting to know him will surely scratch that itch.
Dinner was served afterwards in your bath. You and your husband finished your meal with a small conversation about how your meal was delicious. Though, the night is still long–or feels like it. Both of you entered the chambers of your shared bedroom. It felt awkward being alone with Himejima. Although both of you are married, both of you are also still strangers who barely met each other just this morning. You saw the beddings in the room and it made you feel nervous about sleeping next to him which caused you to breathe heavily allowing the giant man to hear. “(Y/n), I could sleep in another room if it makes you feel better,” you hear Himejima speak.
Himejima's offer hung in the air, heavy with unspoken words. In his face, you could see his genuine concern matched with the intimidating aura he always has with him. It was a gesture of respect, a recognition of your discomfort. “N-no…it’s fine. You don’t have to do that,” you assured him.
The two of you settled on sleeping in the same room. Thus, peacefully set up your sleeping area not far away from each other but also not near each other. It was difficult to be asleep at that hour as you were clouded with a number of emotions as you were new to this set up. The anxious feeling of sleeping with a man you just met today lingered in your thoughts. You didn’t know what to do at this point but to sleep as it was getting late anyway. “Good night (y/n).”
“Good night, Gyomei.” His words made you feel better as you still felt new to this situation. A simple good night makes you more comfortable with this arrangement. You got to sleep shortly after that. The dawn of time passed, you heard noises and slightly opened your eyes wherein you saw shadows. However, due to your thoughts depriving you of sleep the previous night, you gave in to yourself and slept through the dawn.
As you rose from the bed, you noticed the room was unusually quiet. There was no sound of movement or the faintest whisper. You looked around your room and noticed that the bed beside you was nowhere to be seen. The absence of Himejima's towering figure was both comforting and unsettling. You went to the kitchen and were greeted by the servants who informed you that your husband was called on early for a mission. This made you feel disappointed because you wanted to get to know Himejima and spend time with him.
The servants informed you that Himejima had to leave early for an urgent mission with a demon attack on a neighboring village. It’s been three days without the presence of your husband near you. This made you feel lonely despite having people around your home. Not a day goes by that you do not have the same routine. After eating your breakfast alone, you decided to pay Amane a visit to ease that lonely feeling.
“(Y/n), how was your first night with Himejima-san?” she asks as she sat down beside you. You took a pause and tried to hold back from being honest with yourself. “It was alright, I was able to sleep comfortably after yesterday.”
Amane was able to read the misery drawn in your face. She did not feel too good about this so she questions you more. “Are you sure it was alright? You seem to be tired and sorrowful.”
“Oh, no it’s really fine.” She wasn’t convinced with your answer. “I hope Himejima-san was gentle to say the least.”
This shattered a glass of idea, Amane was thinking of a different scenario of you spending your first night with Himejima. “What? No! It’s nothing like that. We didn’t do it.” You were defensive about it and you could feel your face heat up despite it being just the two of you in the room.
The response you gave Amane surprised her. The idea of a newly wed couple spending the first night with each other in a venereal manner was fairly common. Though you’ve never really thought about it as you and Himejima quickly dismissed that possibility rather quickly.
“(Y/n), have you and Himejima ever had an actual conversation about your marriage to say the least?” Amane questions you. Now that question has been raised, you never really have thought about it. “We barely said a word to each other and the other morning he left for an urgent mission.”
“Is that so? While I do not encourage you to force yourself with Himejima, I think it is best that you both have a conversation about your marriage with him. Since you’re gonna spend the rest of your life with him.”
Amane’s words struck in your head from the moment she mentioned it to you until your journey home. One of the servants, Chiaki, approached to welcome you home. “Welcome back, my lady,” she slightly bows, “Would you care to join Himejima-san for dinner?”
Chiaki’s words caught your attention. As you walked inside your house, you felt a sudden pain in your stomach and had an urge to vomit. Your vision was less clear–it was shaky. Another body pain hit you, you felt the pain reach your temples and your calves. Though, you manage to reach the dining area.
The heavy wooden table creaked slightly under the weight of the untouched meal. You sat opposite of Himejima with your face pale and drawn. You covered your mouth with haste as you felt the urge to vomit again. Himejima, with his other perfect senses, noticed that you didn’t feel okay.
“Is everything alright (y/n)?” he asks, trying to reach out to help you. Himejima could clearly tell that your body has collapsed on the ground. His powerful frame moved with surprising speed as he reached you, his large hands gently cradling your head. Concern etched itself onto his face as he assessed your condition.
A throbbing pain pulsed in your temples, and a wave of nausea washed over you. Your vision blurred as consciousness slowly returned. With effort, your eyes opened, the world coming into focus gradually. You were in your bed, the soft glow of lanterns casting dancing shadows on the walls. Himejima was seated beside you, his face etched with worry.
“Gyomei,” you call out his name. “What happened?”
A relief from Himejima can be felt as he lifts his head with his softened face and relaxed face. "(Y/n), you're awake," he replied. "A demon followed you and attacked you secretly with its poison.” Your head throbbed with a dull ache as you tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over you. You reached out a trembling hand to steady yourself on the bed.
"A demon?" you managed to croak out, your voice hoarse.
“Yes, a demon. Thankfully I was able to take home an antidote for the demon’s poison.” You listened to Himejima’s words with an understanding even though there’s still a slight concern in his face. “I apologize that I got you into this trouble. Being married to me only caused you trouble.” A wave of empathy washed over you as you watched Himejima's tears fall. Gyomei is known to be the strongest hashira with his immense strength, but in this moment, vulnerability replaced his usual composure.
"Gyomei," you reached out, your hand finding his, offering comfort. "It wasn't your fault. These things happen." Your voice was gentle, filled with sincerity.
"It was also my responsibility for not being here to protect you," he explained, his voice husky with emotion. His grip on your hand tightened, conveying a depth of remorse you hadn't expected. “Well, we’re here together now,” you say to him with a soft smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you try to lighten the mood.
"Let's start over, (y/n)," he reached out to you and kissed your forehead. A warmth spread through you as his lips touched your skin. It was a simple gesture, yet it held a profound weight. You returned his gaze, your heart pounding in your chest. It felt like an answered prayer from a yearning heart. That forehead kiss is a lingering faith of the couple for their relationship to bloom.

The curse
After Kagaya finds a boy named Zenitsu for Nezuko to get married and Tanjirou realizes that she likes him too, he honestly stops caring too much about his own situation.
But his older brother cares about him and the curse upon the Ubuyashiki family members that will kill Tanjirou eventually (sometimes it hits when they're really young, but the lucky ones don't feel its presence lurking until they're eighteen, like in his case) if he doesn't find someone to get married to and changes his last name.
"It's alright. Don't worry about me," Tanjirou smiles at him; he knows he can't see his face, but he can hear the smile in his voice. "I'm just glad Nezuko is safe now."
"Me too, Tanjirou," Kagaya grins back, caressing the boy's cheek gently. "But I don't want anything to happen to you either."
"I don't want to... make people miserable," he mumbles, feeling suddenly shy. "An arranged marriage doesn't usually lead to happiness. I just... I don't want someone to agree to make me their husband only because they have to."
"The hashira are good people," Kagaya says and Tanjirou can smell in his scent that he truly believes it. "They'll take care of you, you'll be safe with them. Trust me. However, if it makes you feel better, I'll encourage them to be honest. You worry too much, little one; you're really easy to love."
Tanjirou honestly doubts it, if there's someone in their family who's like that is Nezuko and Kagaya himself.
But if one of them chooses him, he'll do his best to make them happy.
***
He can smell the irritation coming from some of them; they're not sure about it, even if it's Kagaya himself the one asking them to consider it. When his older brother asks him to come out, Tanjirou walks towards the front yard and notices that all the hashira are now standing in front of his brother; he bows because he respects every single one, even though he hasn't met them personally before.
"I'm Ubuyashiki Tanjirou," he mumbles with a smile. "I'm Kagaya-san's younger brother. I know he's talked to you about our situation and the curse before and I know how much you respect my brother, but please do not do this just because of your sense of duty... If none of you want to marry me, I'll understand. I just want to be with someone who really wants me."
His answer is only silence; Tanjirou gets nervous and a little bit sad knowing that's a rejection. However, when he looks up at them he realizes they are staring at him with a weird expression on their faces. There are a couple of sweet scents filling the air, but Tanjirou doesn't know what they mean and he's too flustered to think about it.
For some reason, Kagaya looks amused.
He bows again, ready to walk back inside; it's alright, at least he gets to be with his family for a little bit longer or the time he's left if he doesn't find a spouse.
"Thank you so much for considering it. I understand your decision, you deserve to be happy for all what you have done for this family and people in general."
He's ready to go when someone almost stumbles in his desperation to get to him quickly; fortunately the twins, his nieces, have talked to him a couple of times about the Pillars and their names.
So Tanjirou knows the one taking both his hands in his and grinning from ear to ear at him is Rengoku.
"I'll marry you, my boy!" The flame hashira says, bringing their foreheads together.
For a moment, the only thing that Tanjirou does is to blink in surprise and confusion before he smiles back because he can smell sincerity in Rengoku's scent.
"Thank you!" He beams, prompting the other to blush. "I'll try to make you happy!"
"You already–"
"Wait," the water hashira cuts him off, drawing Tanjirou's attention. "Please consider me as well, I'd like to marry you..."
"Don't listen to them. You need someone who can protect you," Shinazugawa looks at him before turning to Tanjirou's brother. "You know I'm the best option, Oyakata-sama."
"I can protect him too," Himejima protests, surprising Tanjirou.
"I'd gladly give you my last name, Tanjirou," Kocho smiles, managing to move Rengoku out of the way to kiss the boy's hand.
"Marry me, pretty boy!"
"You have three wives already, Tengen!" One of them hisses viciously, like a serpent... That's probably Iguro if Tanjirou remembers correctly.
"And that's why I'm the best option to do this, I have experience," Uzui grins, winking at Tanjirou.
The love hashira jumps into his arms before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Choose me, Tanjirou!"
"He's mine, I want him," the mist hashira declares, making Tanjirou blush to the tip of his ears.
Tanjirou looks at all of them overwhelmed and very much confused; they all smell like they're being honest and they actually want to marry him, but he doesn't understand why... They just met him.
"Perhaps you should start courting him so he can choose," Kagaya mumbles, amusement written all over his face.
"That's an excellent idea!" Rengoku says as the others agree and Tanjirou panics because how is he going to choose?
How did he end up in a situation like this?
