"Y/n"

You heard your name being called out by a very familiar voice.

"Love, wake up"

You slowly opened your eyes as you woke up from your slumber, and saw none other than Dazai sitting right in front if you with a beautiful smile.

"Osamu?" You asked him.

You turned your head towards the side table to look at the time. The clock said 00:00.

Why the hell would he wake you up at midnight?

You were fully awake and turned to look at him again. This time you noticed an orange glow emitting from below him, making him look gorgeous than before. Your eyes traveled downwards and there it was.

Dazai was holding a small cake of your favorite flavor, and there was a single lit candle on top of the cake.

"Happy birthday y/n."

Birthday? Oh.

You had completely forgotten your own birthday! You were still trying to process that as you stared at your lover's face with wide eyes.

"Sorry to wake you up like this, my love." Dazai broke the silence. "I wanted to wish you in the morning, well its technically morning now, but I couldn't wait."

"Osamu...I honestly didn't expect this. Thankyou so much." Your heart was beating really fast at this point and you swore you would melt because of his love.

He just smiled in return and kissed your forehead. "I wanted to be the first one to wish you. Anyways! Here's the knife, slice my throat!"

"Osamu!"

"Hehe just kidding y/n! Here, blow out the candle and cut the cake."

You closed your eyes, thought about your wish and blowed out the candle; then cut the cake while reciprocating the same huge grin of happiness that dazai had.

"Happy birthday again love." He leaned in to kiss you deeply but softly on the lips.

After you finally parted, you quickly pressed a quick peck on his lips once more and held a piece of the cake in your hands and fed it to him.

He fed you a piece of cake too.

"Mmm I knew I chose the right cake! it tastes good. Not as good as your cake tho-"

"Shush." He had succeeded in making you embarrassed and blush.

"What did you wish for?" He asked you.

"I'm not telling you!"

"Please darling?" He whined playfully.

"Nope."

It took about twenty minutes, but you both finished eating that delicious cake together. Dazai got up to put the knife and the plate away in the kitchen, while you cleaned up the crumbs that had fallen on to the bed. You guys shuffled under the covers again to sleep in each other's arms, since it was obviously way too early to start the day.

You had your face smushed into his chest and he had his chin on top of your head, legs entangled together.

"Thankyou so much osamu. I love you"

"I love you too y/n"

"Wanna know what my wish was?" You asked him in a hushed voice and he replied with a hum.

"I wished for us to be together till the end of time."
