a silly little thing i’ve been noticing:

so a lil while ago pac joined another server called Primórdio, a more fantasy-inspired modded series. but. as far as i know he only streamed it like once, the first day, and showed up maybe once or twice offstream the first week or so. that’s it.

BUT Himaru (long time friend/collaborator with tazercraft, purgatory 2 guest, joined primordio alongside pac and the others) has been pretty consistent with playing on the server. and every time he goes live, in his announcement tweet, he puts a pic from the series, usually a group pic from the first day when the whole group was all on together

except every picture has to have pac in them. if it’s not the whole group it’ll just be pac for no discernible reason (only giving a few examples, trust me its every time)

and now i think he’s running out of pics from the first day and has just made a giant billboard(?) ingame to pose in front of

i have no idea what he’s doing in the series but seeing all these on my timeline with zero context is just incredibly funny to me

New SMP!!! One with mystery and intrigue, with a story first mindset I don't know how much I'll keep up with it, but right now, I just want to put all the things down in one place

Arkanis - twitter and twitch - is the name of the new SMP, which takes place in the town of Valigma (also, it looks like there are already some characters named Arkanis, so to keep the tags clean, can I suggest #arkanisgg?)

There's a mayor who is acting really weird. He wears a mask and has a phd in HR managing but also mentioned an exile of one Bia Raux, who's only described as being a disturbance to the town enough to get exiled. (There's also the Sherriff named Jorge, but we dont know much about him yet). Mayor Jay mentions several times that the mask is coming off, and in the teaser, it shows him taking it off to very ominous music.

The mayor announces and welcomes the first few guests to Valigma (names and links to channels under the cut) alongside some other ominous tweets.

The players have been invited to Valigma because each of them have unique specialties (whether those are superpowers or talents or knowledge, we dont know yet) to help the Mayor out with something.

He also mentions an island, but it's unclear whether Valigma is on said island or not.

What is Arkanis?

Arkanis is a Brazilian project, a Minecraft SMP, directed by the streamer Pactw. In total there are more than 20 participants and all POV's can be watched with the members going live on Twitch and YouTube.

SYNOPSIS

"The city of Valigma is on the verge of collapse after the exhaustive exploitation of its mines. With depleted resources, a sick population, crumbling structures and a government in crisis, hope seems lost. In a last-ditch effort, Mayor Jota calls experts to revive the city's former glory. However, in Valigma, not everything is as it seems."
