How would the kitties react to a trip to the vet?
Hello there, love! ♥
Taking the kitters to the vet is…interesting!  Some are easy to get into the carrier/crate, some are not. Some are good at the vet, some are timid.
Everything you want to know, is under the read more for you. =3

Kitty!Noctis: You don’t even need the carrier to take him in. When you go to the vet with him, you simply pick him up in your arms, and pet him gently, and he sleeps the whole car ride there. Once there, he’s a bit nervous, but nothing uncontrollably so, and is content to sleep in your arms on the way back home.
Kitty!Prompto: He’s difficult. Not that you blame him. He’s nervous once the carrier comes out, and he’ll go into hiding. You’ve learned to leave the carrier out for a day before you have to leave, letting him get used to it. The next day, you have to talk soothingly, petting him gently, and you will have to force him a bit to get into the carrier. You know it’s because he believes that you’re taking him back to the shelter. He’s nervous at the vet, but when you get him home, he’s all burbles and purrs, and rubs on your legs - thankful you didn’t take him and leave him in the bad place.
Kitty!Ignis: All you need to do to get him to go anywhere, is open the carrier’s door, and he’ll walk right in and lay down. The trip to the vet is easy, and calm, and he’s all too content to stay in the carrier when you get home, you have to gently shoo him out of it.
Blind Kitty!Ignis: He’s a little bit more troublesome now to get into the carrier, probably due to the trauma of his injury. But once you get him in the carrier, he relaxes, and the trip goes rather smoothly, he however, is no longer content to stay in the carrier when you get him home, and will bolt out of it when you open the door.
Kitty!Gladio: He doesn’t really fit in a normal carrier, so, you buy him a small dog’s harness and a lead, and surprisingly, he’s very content to follow you around, he especially enjoys the car ride, sitting up on the front seat looking out the side window. He’s a little nervous at the vet, but not too skittish as he gets more pets and rubs from everyone that happens to walk in and marvel at his size. You swear, his chest puffs up at each one that walks in and goes “Astrals, he’s huge!”
Kitty!Cor: You have a little bit of trouble getting him in the carrier, laughing as he does that thing where he puts out all four paws to prevent himself from going into it. You soothe and coo and eventually, you get him inside. The trip there, he’s concerned. Mowing low, and long. At the vet, he’s on his best behavior, even purring a little as the vet techs talk to him. Once home, he darts out of the carrier, and composure grooms himself, before looking to you, then coming up and rubbing against your leg a bit, as if he understands you were taking him someplace to help him.
Kitty!Iris: She’s not as big as her brother - yet. [Astrals save you if she grows that big.] She’ll slip into the carrier, burbling and mewing at you excitedly till you have to lock its gate. Her large paws will reach through the grating and she’ll pull, then meow urgently. You keep her on the front seat of the car with you, so she can look at you, and the car ride is mostly silent. At the vet, she’s a little nervous, but still very well behaved, making you proud, and she relaxes when the tech’s comment on how big she’s getting.
Kitty!Aranea: You have learned to wear gloves, and thick longsleeved sweater when you try to put her into the carrier, otherwise she’d bite, or claw you - mostly because she seems to hate enclosed spaces. The vet suggests a mesh like bag - compared to the dark carrier for the next time you bring her in, and you give it a try. She’s more content to sit there in this instead. Being at the vet, she’s a little grumbly, kinda growly when they poke and prod. When you get her home, you have to give her a treat, and some gentle pettings before she wanders off, huffing at you as her tail flicks about.
Kitty!Cindy: Is another that doesn’t really need to be put in a carrier. The ride to the vet is amusing, as she will flop across your dashboard and watch the traffic go by. She’s relaxed of course in your arms at the vet and purrs loudly at the extra attention. Once home, she’d slink off to your shed again, probably wishing to take a nap from all the commotion from the day.
Kitty!Luna: Getting her into the carrier isn’t all that bad, but once you get her out into the car, little Luna finds her voice! The entire ride is nothing but a rapid succession of mows and mewls and rowls that sound panicked. If you talk to her, they change - sounding more curious than afraid. At the vet she’s timid, but still on her best behavior. The car ride home is much the same, and when you get her home, you let her out and climb up onto your lap, petting her ears as you soothe her, telling her she did a good job today.
Kitty!Ravus: You want to punch the lights out of his breeder - Ravus does not do carriers. Ravus does not do cages of any kind. You want to see a personality change? This is it. Ravus screeches and hisses and growls at you when you attempt to put him in the carrier. [You’re pretty sure that his breeder had something to do with his reaction when he sees the plastic crate.] You’ve tried the harness thing, but all he does is flop over, and refuse to move - you’ve dragged him across the floor a time or three, so, it’s in a harness and in the car you go. He’s nervous, panting. At the vet he’s timid, and wants to stick close to you and hide, but he does well. When you get him home, you put him in his favorite spot with his favorite treat - and he instantly calms.
Kitty!Cid: For an old codger, he’s still got some fight in him! Watch your fingers! He doesn’t mind the carrier too much, but if you stick your fingers in through the grate, he’ll bite or scratch at you - it’s mostly cause he’s nervous. At the vet the techs adore him, and you watch him melt into their pets and soft coos. Once home, you set the carrier down and he darts out of it, giving you a soft hiss in annoyance. You soothe his old grumpy self by offering him his canned food, giving him a bit more than you normally do.
Kitty!Regis: No carrier needed. No harness either. You’re surprised he’s so laid back all the time, but he’s content to ride in the car on your lap, purring away. When you get him to the vet, he grows a little nervous, his keading becoming a bit more painful on your hands/arms when you hold him, but it’s an easy visit. The car ride home is filled with gentle pets and purrs as you drive, and once home, he just simply slinks off to the back deck, to enjoy the remainder of the sunset for the day.
Kitty!Clarus: Harness time. Clarus however is, odd to say the least. You have to hold him. The moment you put him down anywhere, he grows nervous and rowls softly, almost as if he’s on the verge of panic. It’s odd to you for how calm and collected he seems most of the time, so, you’ve learned to let him sit on your lap in the car, and in your arms at the vet. The visit goes well of course, your King’s Shadow would never show any sort of bad attitude, and the car ride home is the same. You do have to kind of pry him off you after you get home for a bit - as if he’s nervous as to why he had to go to that funny smelling place.
Kitten!Talcott: He’s a bundle of energy, bouncing around in the carrier and mewing up a storm. He seems to love to get you to laugh when he mews so long that his voice cracks at the end cause he’s out of breath. You can play with him through the grate, causing him to gently bat his paws at your fingers. He’s a good boy at the vet too, and getting him home is much the same.
Older Kitty!Talcott: Is still a bundle of energy, and he still does that long mew till he’s out of breath to get you to laugh, but he’s more timid at the vet now. You’re not sure why, or what started him being that way as you always tried to make it a semi-positive experience. Once home, you’ll coo at him, and soothe him with a few treats, listening to him purr as he kneads on your thigh.
Kitty!Gentiana: You’ve never had to take her to the vet before, so when you show her the carrier, she looks up at you, curious about it. You gently put her inside and close the gate, and you watch her curl about and lay down, looking at you with wide eyes. She makes no noise on the way there, and the visit goes smooth and very easy. Once home, you have to leave the carrier on the floor, with the door open for 2 days before she leaves it alone long enough for you to be able to put it away.
Kitty!Ardyn: Get ready to get scratched, bit, and have blood dripping down your arms and fingers. Ardyn makes no move to run away from you when you try to put him in the carrier, he’s just a nasty biter/clawer. You have to clean yourself up first before you leave and you’ve learned to keep your fingers away from the carrier when he’s in it. At the vet, he’s a different cat - all purrs, and sweet. He even lets the techs and the vet pet and rub his ears, and when they put him back in the carrier - there’s no bloodshed. [You’re pretty sure he just hates you.] Once home, he’ll dart out of the carrier, and slink off to hide somewhere.
Kitty!Nyx: He’ll climb right into the carrier when you put it out - even if it’s not meant for him. The ride to the vet is full of curious burbles, and soft mows, and when you get him there, it’s like he’s an absolute lady killer - or man killer, whatever. He’s super affectionate with anyone and everyone that happens to pass by, all too content to lean hard into their ear rubs and arch into his pets down his back, and he seems to adore kids - many small ones have asked to see the pretty kitty in the carrier so you just take him out and set him on your lap when you get to the vet. Once home, you have to dump him out of the carrier, cause he won’t leave, and then he’ll get a burst of energy and climb your curtains, causing you to huff at him!
Kitty!Libertus: He’s nervous when you put him in the carrier, but he’s relatively calm on the trip there. At the vet he’s timid, yet gets standoffish when the vet comes in the room. He’ll growl a little as he’s poked and prodded but nothing too serious. When it’s time to go back in the carrier to go home, he won’t go in. No matter what you do - Turn the carrier onto its end and try to put him into it, take the top off then try to put them together with him in the middle - no matter what, you cannot get him back in. So, you’ve learned that he sits on your lap on the ride home.
Kitty!Crowe: For as energetic as she gets, she’s relatively easy to get into the carrier, but she’s much like Luna. She will mow, and almost scream when you’re riding in the car, she’s even belted out one loud enough that you’ve had to rub your ear due to the high pitch sound. “Astrals, Crowe! Please! It’s not that bad, I promise you!” Once there, she’s still mostly verbal untill you let her out of the carrier, she’s nervous and timid, but does alright. She’s easy to get back into the carrier, and the moment the door shuts, the loud meows start again. You’ve learned to wear earplugs on the car ride now, at least in the ear closest to her.
Kitty!Pelna: He’s timid with the carrier, and much like with Prompto you’ve had to leave it out for a day before you leave. You’re able to get him into it easily enough but he immediately curls up and tries to hide at the back of it. You and the vet have to tag team to get him out of the carrier [The vet grabs Pelna, and you the carrier] but the visit goes well. When it’s time to leave he’ll slink back into the crate, his belly low to the ground and once more, curls up against the back of it. Once home, you have to set it in your bedroom, and leave the door open. An hour later, you’ll find him slowly making his presence known again.
Kitty!Titus: He’s a bit of a beast to get into the carrier, once in and the door is locked, he’ll reach out with his large paws and grab for things. That blanket you had in the car over it, is now inside the carrier with him. The vet pulls him and the blanket out, and Titus immediately straightens up, no longer nervous. He stands proudly and and lets the vet do their thing. Getting him back into the carrier is not all that difficult, and you push the blanket back in there with him. On the way home, you had the carrier to close to the seatbelt and he somehow pulled that partway into the carrier with him - that was fun to untangle. Once home, he’ll slowly come out of the carrier, and look at you and you swear he scowls. You shrug and offer treats as a penance, and he seems to be semi content with that.
