Youtube just reminded me that 15 year old Spencer had a VERY BAD BBC Sherlock phase and, 8 years later, listening this parody for the first time in, idk, 5 years? I still know Every. Single. Lyrics.

(Before ya ask: yes, obviously I watched the Good Omens Parody. And, let me tell ya, I've had a massive crush on Hilly ever since I saw them has Dean Winchester and...my brothers in Christ, if I tell you I had forgotten this person existed until I saw the GO parody and my crush on them ignited all over again but like 90 times stronger? Bless their heart, they are one of the hottest Crowley's I've seen so far and I've seen my fair share of cosplays in the last few years. Hilly's Crowley will forever be iconic in my heart. I did make a post about the parody here when it first came out AND HILLY NOTICED ME AND COMMENTED ON IT. Bro, I peaked. It was like being recognized by Jesus himself. But alas, nevermind my crush. I got a whole ass list of cosplayers I have a crush on, Hilly so happens to be...top 1 <3 yes, i'm a simp. You're in my household, so you will deal with it)

Alas, all of this to say: Supernatural Parody? Good Omens Parody? Bloody amazing. But Sherlock Parody was PEAK

I just got my rings that remind me of good omens, Matt Murdock type glasses but if he was more fruity & edgy and Sherlock bbc socks from Hillywood!

I love all of this! (especially the socks <3)

i was at a birthday party last night that was vintage themed and this older woman (maybe fifties-ish) walked up to me, iphone in hand, and showed me an instagram post of the hillywood people and she straight up went “i just wanted to show you these other dykes who did a sherlock holmes sketch and I thought you’d appreciate it!” and the way i was thrown so off guard by being so casually and amicably called a dyke in public lmfao

Hi Steph, HUGS! I was wondering, for those long intense staring sessions between Sherlock and John, whether any cast members mentioned the stage directions for those scenes? Or any fun parody or speculations from fans, or even maybe from BBC3, who appeared to enjoy teasing BBC1 on Sherlock? If you were the director, what would you say to the actors to achieve such scenes? Sometimes I giggle to myself imagining the stage directions.

Sorry I missed this one, LOL, got tucked away and sadly not seen until recently!

To my knowledge, all of those intense sessions were improvised and speaks of the INSANE chemistry Martin and Ben had on set. Martin was infamous for "doing it with a look", which often benefitted the series as a whole. Apparently many of his scripted lines were, as the tin says, done with just Martin's insane facial acting ability. I think it was even him who "created" the John we know and love: the one with the hand clenches when he's stressed, his big-dick-energy walk, his insane ability to physically be the largest person on screen even though he's naturally a short man, and his incredible acting ability to portray all of John's thoughts on with his face. Martin seems to be one of those actors that you should just... let create the character he is given, and you will get gold every time. So for him that would be my stage direction LOL.

Ben is also a great actor, but you could REALLY tell he adored Martin and Martin elevated Ben's portrayal of the Sherlock character. They played off each other well, and knew how to ooze chemistry.

I'm no director so I really don't know what else I would do to direct people, hahah. Though Ben and Martin were pretty much the only good things about S4; they worked with what they had and made it what it was, but sadly I think they were encouraged to NOT interact in the same way they were told in previous seasons. I dunno.

i need to preface this by saying: i really reallly like good omens. i think it's a hilarious, sweet, well produced, and well acted show.

now that i've gotten that out of the way, i have to say that i (and i mean this in a good way) have always found something so viscerally 2015-2016 tumblr about it but i just couldn't put my finger on it. now i think i've got it (spoiler warning for season 2):
