Hello all and welcome to your home for High Republic Appreciation Week!

My name is Mik (main: @bikananjarrus), your organizer for this event <3

This event is to celebrate everything we love about the High Republic! It will take place in June, leading up to the release of the final High Republic book, Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule, on Tuesday June 17, 2025. 

All types of creation (fanfic, art, edits, playlists, gifs, anything you can think of) and ALL fans of the High Republic are welcome! Whether you’ve read one High Republic book, or everything in between, you are welcome here! 

Final dates, prompts, and rules for this event will be coming soon.

Disclaimer: this blog and the upcoming event is a safe space. There will be NO tolerance of bigotry - racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of hate are not allowed.

Additionally, this is meant to be a FUN event showing our appreciation for Project Luminous! I ask that everyone be kind and respectful towards each other and to each other's creative works. If there is a character, ship, etc. that you do not like, please keep your negative comments to yourself. Again, this event is just for fun and to show our appreciation! That means showing positivity and appreciation for our own work and each other’s. We are all the Republic, after all 💛

Hello All!

First, a huge thank you to everyone who voted in the poll to help narrow the dates down!!

The High Republic Appreciation Week will feature a full 7 days of prompts to celebrate, taking place from:

Tuesday June 10 to Monday June 16, 2025

The following day, Tuesday June 17, will be a "bonus day" for the event - a day for general appreciation, to catch up on your fellow creators' works, show your excitement for the release of Trials of the Jedi, etc.!

Appreciation Week Daily Themes + Prompts

Each day of appreciation week will have an overall, broad theme that your creations should try to follow.

(Another big thank you to everyone who included suggestions for prompts, they were a huge help! Based on your votes, I will also include a variety of smaller and/or more specific prompts. A poll about those additional prompts will be up later this week or early next week.)

DAY 1 (Tues. June 10) - FAVE PHASE

A day to celebrate your favorite High Republic phase! This could be a day to show your appreciation for your favorite book (or comic, manga, or audiodrama) from that phase; or a day to talk about your favorite character, moment, or story arc from a particular phase. Of course, there's a little overlap with Phases 1/3, but try to pick something that is specific to Phase 1 or 3. And don't forget to show some love for our prequel Phase 2!

DAY 2 (Wed. June 11) - FOR LIGHT & LIFE

This is a day to celebrate all things Jedi and the Force! The High Republic represents the golden age of the Jedi - who's your favorite Jedi? Your favorite master & padawan duo? Your favorite way that a Jedi sees the Force (ex. Elzar seeing the Force as an ocean)? Favorite Jedi feat? We've been introduced to many incredible Jedi and seen them do incredible things, so today's the day to celebrate them!

DAY 3 (Thurs. June 12) - WHAT SCARES THE JEDI?

AKA villains & antagonists day! We've been introduced to many great compelling villains and antagonists - do you have a favorite? Maybe a favorite villain moment? maybe there was a time you were rooting for the villains more than the heroes. whatever it is, today is for the bad guys!

DAY 4 (Fri. June 13) - (NOT JUST) FIREBRANDS FRIDAY

It may be Firebrands Friday, but today's not just for them! This is a day to celebrate relationships of all kinds! Familial and friendly, platonic and romantic, and everything in between. So much of the High Republic is about love, and the different kinds of love that exist between people. Today is the day to explore your favorite relationships, no matter what form they take!

DAY 5 (Sat. June 14) - A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY

The High Republic era is an age of exploration, discovery, and all sorts of wondrous things in the galaxy. Today is for celebrating this era's worldbuilding! Do you have a favorite new planet or city, a species or creature? Favorite new fashion or technology? [If possible, for this prompt day, try to keep your creations to places & things that were introduced in this era (or, if it only had a brief previous mention in canon, but we actually learned about it more in this era). (ex. maybe steer away from Coruscant, Naboo, and the more familiar locations.]

DAY 6 (Sun. June 15) - WE ARE ALL THE REPUBLIC

A day for celebrating the citizens of the Republic! A day for highlighting characters who aren't affiliated with the Jedi or the main villains (i.e. they don't exactly have to be a good guy, but this isn't a day for big bads like Marchion Ro.) Today is for the chancellors and royalty; pilots and officers; engineers, inventors, and scientists; all the every day people and their accomplishments that make up the Republic.

DAY 7 (Mon. June 16) - FREE DAY!

Exactly what it says - a free day to show some appreciation for anything you like, or anything that didn't quite fit under one of the under themes. There is so much about this era to love, and it's hard to fit it all in one week. So today, the galaxy is yours!

*BONUS DAY 8 (Tues. June 17) - GENERAL APPRECIATION

Happy Trials of the Jedi release day! Today it's not necessary to create anything new (unless you want to! if you do, treat it like another free day!). Today is for general appreciation - write a post about what you appreciate about the High Republic, or send me an ask about things you appreciate, and I'll post it here. Take the time to catch up on your fellow creators' works - likes and kudos are great; shares and reblogs are even better! (but do NOT repost.) It's all about sharing the love today 💛

aka a day to celebrate relationships of all kinds - romantic, platonic, familial, general. any ships and/or friendships you like!

DAY 5 (Sat. June 14) - A LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY

aka a day to celebrate the worldbuilding of the high republic era! people, planets, technology, etc.!

DAY 6 (Sun. June 15) - WE ARE ALL THE REPUBLIC

aka a day for celebrating the citizens of the republic! (those characters who aren't jedi or a major Big Bad)

DAY 7 (Mon. June 16) - FREE DAY!

aka the day to celebrate anything else you like about this era!

*BONUS DAY 8 (Tues. June 17) - GENERAL APPRECIATION

aka general appreciation day to catch up on each other's creations, catch up on your own creations, and send asks here with your messages of appreciation that i will post! all around a day of positivity and sharing the love!

The High Republic Appreciation Week - ADDITIONAL PROMPTS

hello all! a number of you expressed interest in having some additional prompts to go along with the overarching daily themes for the appreciation week.

i have already compiled your prompt suggestions from the previous interest form, and will add more to create a list of more specific prompts to help with your creations.

For the list of specific prompts, a quick preference poll - Would you rather:

a) have additional specific prompts assigned to each theme day (i.e. each theme day would get 5 or so additional prompts that fit a bit more closely with that particular theme); OR -

b) have one big pool of additional prompts (probably 15-30 extra prompts) that you can pick and choose from, and match up with whatever theme day you like?
