The Hidden Benefits of TV Antenna Installation Toowoomba: What You Didn’t Know You Needed
It was a sunny Saturday in Toowoomba when Sarah decided to host a family movie night. She had everything planned—popcorn, bean bags, and her grandmother’s favorite classic films. But as the evening rolled around, her streaming service buffered endlessly, ruining the mood. Frustrated, Sarah decided it was time to switch to a reliable option: a high-quality TV antenna installation Toowoomba service. What she discovered went far beyond buffering-free TV—it transformed her viewing experience and saved her money.
Why Australians Are Turning Back to TV Antennas
While streaming services have grown in popularity, a recent study revealed that 62% of Australians still tune in to free-to-air TV weekly. (Source: Roy Morgan). But why? For residents of Toowoomba, TV antenna installation isn’t just about enjoying local channels like 7, 9, and 10—it’s about reliability, cost savings, and unexpected perks.
Here’s what most websites won’t tell you:
1. Local Signal Boosts During Emergencies
Did you know that free-to-air TV often remains operational during power outages or internet blackouts? Unlike streaming services that rely on Wi-Fi, TV antennas provide a direct link to broadcasts. In Toowoomba, where storm seasons can occasionally disrupt connectivity, a reliable antenna ensures access to real-time weather updates and emergency broadcasts.
2. Better Picture Quality, No Buffering Required
While streaming services claim to offer HD, they rely heavily on your internet speed. Free-to-air TV, when paired with a professional antenna installation, delivers uncompressed high-definition broadcasts that outshine most streaming services. With a properly tuned antenna in Toowoomba, residents can enjoy crystal-clear visuals even during peak hours.
3. Cost Efficiency That Adds Up
Sarah’s decision to invest in a TV antenna wasn’t just about better reception—it was about cutting costs. Australians spend an average of $40 per month on streaming subscriptions. Over five years, that’s nearly $2,400. A one-time TV antenna installation in Toowoomba eliminates this recurring expense while delivering a lifetime of entertainment for free.
4. Eco-Friendly Entertainment
Few people realise that traditional antennas have a smaller carbon footprint than streaming services, which depend on energy-intensive data centers. For environmentally conscious Toowoomba residents, choosing an antenna is a step toward reducing digital energy consumption.
Finding the Right Installation Service
Here’s where it gets personal: choosing the right antenna service in Toowoomba makes all the difference. Sarah worked with a professional team that ensured her antenna was positioned perfectly to avoid interference from nearby hills and tall buildings. Their expertise also meant seamless integration with her existing TV setup.
If you’re considering TV antenna installation Toowoomba service, opt for a service that offers:
Expert knowledge of the local terrain
Comprehensive repair options for older antennas
Post-installation maintenance packages
How to Maintain Your Antenna for Longevity
Once installed, regular checks can prevent the need for frequent antenna repair. Here’s a simple checklist:
Clean your antenna annually to remove debris.
Inspect for loose cables or corroded connectors.
Schedule professional servicing every two years.
Final Thoughts
Switching to a TV antenna might seem like a small decision, but for residents of Toowoomba, it’s an investment in reliable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly entertainment. Whether you're drawn by the superior picture quality, the cost savings, or the security of uninterrupted broadcasts, one thing is certain: a TV antenna installation Toowoomba service is more than just a setup—it’s peace of mind.
If Sarah’s story resonates with you, perhaps it’s time to explore your options and experience the benefits firsthand.

Known for its rich history, architectural marvels, lush landscapes, and beautiful beaches, Trivandrum offers a plethora of experiences waiting to be uncovered. But here’s the secret to truly maximizing your adventure: renting a car! In this blog post, we’ll dive into the reasons why renting a car in Trivandrum is the best decision you can make to explore this vibrant city and its stunning surroundings.
Embrace the Freedom of the Open Road
Imagine this: you wake up in the morning, sip on your steaming cup of fresh filter coffee, and feel the excitement bubbling within you. Instead, you have the freedom to craft your own itinerary, visit off-the-beaten-path spots, and truly immerse yourself in the local culture.
Explore at Your Own Pace
One of the biggest advantages of renting a car is the ability to explore at your own pace. Whether you’re an early riser who loves to catch the sunrise at the serene Kovalam Beach or someone who loves late-night drives through the vibrant night markets, having your own vehicle means you can dictate your own timeline. Feel like deviating from the schedule? No problem! Take a scenic detour through the backroads of Kerala, where lush greenery and charming villages pave the way to an enriching experience.
Reach Hidden Gems
While Trivandrum is famous for its major attractions like the majestic Padmanabhaswamy Temple and the stunning Napier Museum, there are countless hidden gems waiting to be discovered just outside the city limits. With a rental car, you can easily venture to such treasures as:
- **Poovar Island**: Just a short drive away, this tranquil paradise offers serene backwaters, stunning beaches, and a chance to indulge in boat rides and water sports.

When it comes to renting a car in Trivandrum, the options are abundant! Here’s how you can make the selection process as smooth as your upcoming drive:

From compact cars for solo ventures to spacious SUVs for family trips, Trivandrum has a range of vehicles to suit your needs.
2. **Consider Your Experience Level**: If you’re new to driving in India, you might want to opt for a vehicle with automatic transmission or consider renting with a chauffeur. This way, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the sights while someone else navigates the roads.
3. **Pricing and Packages**: Look out for rental companies that offer competitive rates and flexible booking options. Many companies offer daily, weekly, or even monthly rental packages, making it easy to tailor your rental to your travel plans.
4. **Check for Insurance**: Safety first! Ensure that the rental company provides comprehensive insurance coverage. It’s always good to know you’re protected against unforeseen circumstances.
Tips for Driving in Trivandrum
Now that you’re all set to rent a car, it’s essential to keep a few driving tips in mind to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey:
- **Stay Aware of Local Traffic Rules**: Indian traffic can be quite different from what you might be used to, so familiarize yourself with local driving laws. For instance, driving is on the left side of the road in India!
- **Be Prepared for Monsoon Rains**: If you plan to visit during the monsoon season (June to September), be ready for heavy rain showers. Ensure your rented vehicle is equipped for wet conditions, and drive cautiously.
- **Use Navigation Apps**: While exploring, don’t forget to leverage technology! Apps like Google Maps are indispensable for navigating the city and discovering nearby attractions.

HIDDEN HILLS WEEKLY ISSUE #2
In this issue of Hidden Hills Weekly, we are talking about the outrageous lives of our celebrities in the gated community! We talk about polyamorous lovers to concerts in your every own kitchen!
ISABELLE AMOR’S ADDING ON TO HER POLY LIFESTYLE?
For the past week, Isabelle Amor, 28 has been in New York filming her newest show, “Only Murders In The Building.” She has been seen up and down the busy streets, filming scenes and having fun on set but fans have noticed that the singer/actress is having too much fun with her co-star. The pair have been seen getting quite cozy with one another when the cameras cut. They have been seen with big smiles and sparkles in their eyes. It comes as quite a shock as Isabelle is in an unconfirmed relationship with country music stars Annika Baddie, 25, and Cameron Nelson, 26. You did read that right, Isabelle is dating Both Annika and Cameron. They are living a polyamorous lifestyle where three people are all seeing each other.
Fans are wondering if Isabelle’s co-star is going to be added to her relationship with the country stars. Fans took it far enough to compare the relationship and pictures of Isabelle with her ex-boyfriends and current lovers to her new beau. Those pictures include her famous love story with James Hemmings, 27, with who they share one child together. Mateo Hemmings, 3. One fan stated on Twitter that - “Jelle is way more hotter than this! What is this?!” Along with the tweet was a shared picture of Belle with her co-star. While other fans tweeted that Belle looked happier with her two other loves. “Belle looks GLOWING with Ani and Cam! LET HER BE HAPPY!” Says another fan.
What do Annika and Cameron think about Isabelle potentially looking for another lover? What do you all think? Let us know!
WALLEN FATHERED A CHILD IN SECRET WITH MACKENZIE?
On February 26, 2021, the multi-talented actress Mackenzie Locklear, 23, told the world via Instagram that she had given birth on February 15th to a baby boy named Phoenix Finn Locklear. The actress went silent on all types of social media after the Sweetheart Dance we held on the 12th of this month until her huge announcement. We haven’t heard much about her birth but everyone is wondering who the father is. Mackenzie never said out in any interviews who the father of her son is but many people are assuming it’s Wallen Ward, 28, country singer. People are only assuming this as Mackenzie has been seen at many of Ward’s concerts in the past. She is either in the sound booth or she is backstage with everyone else. Wallen is currently married to Madeline King, 22, the youngest of the King Siblings.
We have reached out to all parties but we got nothing but got declined to speak from Locklear’s team, but we heard nothing back from King & Ward’s team just yet. But we will keep you all updated on the matter when we get the word!
ODESSA’S NIGHTMARE!
On the day of February 18th, 2021, we got reports of Daniel Kaylan, 29, had left his household with his daughter, Heather without notifying her mother and his fiancée, Odessa Fitzpatrick, 27. We were told that the police were called on the scene as Odessa had no idea where her daughter had gone to and assumed she had gone missing. It wasn’t clear where Daniel had gone with Heather but one thing that was clear is the fact that Odessa was not having any of it when Daniel revealed that he was the one who took Heather and left.
The couple just welcomed their third child, a son, into the world on the 14th of this month. Who they have not released the name yet. They also share another son, Wyatt, who is the oldest of the Kaylan Clan.
Rumors had spread that Odessa had indeed got the police involved once she could not find Heather anywhere and Daniel had to come home to talk them himself to explain what had really gone down. We know for sure, this is something he will never do again and might spend the rest of the year in the dog house for this one!
LOVE TRIANGLE IS STILL ON THE RISE!
Is 5 Seconds Of Summer’s guitarist still in love with a former groupie? The answer is unclear to many but also very clear to those around them! Spencer Stone, 25, used to sleep around constantly with Lanie Sinclair, 22, back when the band was touring for their album Sounds Good Feels Good. They currently share two children together, Lyric, 4, and Mercury, 2 months. Everything was going well between the two as co-parents before Spencer moved in with his girlfriend, Francesca “Frankie” Hart, 25. The house was already sold but Lanie ended up staying the night with Spencer the weekend before the big move and rumors have it that they have done more than just kiss that night. Sources had said that Sinclair left early in the morning with their daughter and her daughter, Lucina, 9 months, who she shares with her current boyfriend, Theodore “Theo” Dean, 26. Lanie was currently pregnant when she stayed the night.
Rumors only fueled even more as Lanie went off with Theo to Paris for nearly a month after giving birth to her son with Spencer. Theo was fresh out of an engagement with Nicole Hampton, 24, and Lanie was dealing with Spencer’s flip-flopping feelings for her. Sources had said in Aspen that Stone had made Sinclair cry more than once. Reports claim to overhear a fight between Spencer and Frankie as he admitted kissing Lanie. Witnesses say that Hart claimed to feel like she had been cheated on since Spencer agreed to father another baby with Lanie without talking to her about it first. This caused a huge rift between Hart and Stone in Las Vegas where Frankie walked out on him during blackout dinner.
During the Sweetheart Dance, many eyewitnesses had said that the whole night Spencer couldn’t tear his eyes away from his ex-groupie while she danced with her former turned current boyfriend Theo. What will Frankie think about all of this? What does Theo think about all of this as well?
SCOTTIE’S FREE CONCERT!
The Model/Youtuber Scottie Blake, 27, made headlining news when she went live on Instagram the other night and totally forgotten about it! It went from attempting to make pasta for dinner into a full-on action concert for thousands of people unknowing to her. Many of her fans were delighted to see Scottie enjoying herself as she danced around her kitchen and sang her heart out to her favorite songs. They blasted through her speakers and we do not blame her for forgetting about being live! When you have great music taste like Scottie, it’s common to forget what you were doing and just want to have some fun.
One fan wrote on Twitter, “LOOK AT HOW CUTE SCOTTIE IS!” With many heart emojis and a screenshot from the live.
Although trolls were making fun of the model, many of Scottie’s fans were quick to defend her and one started out. “As if you don’t do this when you’re alone lmao bye”
One thing is for sure, Scottie Blake, we need that album, and secondly, keep on dancing and never stop!
NICOLE HAMPTON IS TURNING TO A WRITER!
The rumors might be true! They might be false! But we do hope it’s true! Nicole Hampton, 24, had said it herself that she planned on writing a book called - “boy mom shit - you’ll be grey before thirty.” She then goes on to explain why she decided to write a book on parenting. It was because of her oldest son, Zeus, 6, who she shares with Derek King, 27. He was attempting to talk to his youngest brother, Asher, 4, who she shares with Brody Roberts, 30, to jump off his bed onto his skateboard so that he could ‘surf’ down the stairs. Luckily, Mama Hampton was quick to put that idea out of their heads and put their safety into their minds. Who knows what could have happened if she didn’t catch them in time!
As we are all parents in Hidden Hills, it would be so nice to hear what other parents have to go through. All children are wild, fun, and beautiful. They may drive us all up the wall but we do love them with all of our hearts! So, Nicole, we would love and buy your book! Give us a call when it’s about to be released! Don’t be shy now!
BRODY IS MOVING ON?!
Yes, you heard it here first! Brody Roberts says that he is ready to move on with his life and find that special someone! Our close sources say that he has come to terms with his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Hampton, 24 is moving on with her life and he is ready to do the same. As we stated in a previous story, the couple shares a son together, Asher, 5. The producer and director have been keeping a low profile recently but want to change that and step out more. We have to say that we’re excited to see Brody out and about again!
People close to the director stated that he wanted to connect with someone and meet that special someone in an authentic way and is adamantly opposed to dating apps. We get it, we don’t want to be catfished in this household. We were told that he has been asking around for ideas of places to meet people and even may have asked a few people to join him on that adventure. We do not know who at this time but once we get more details, we will share them with you all!

Take Control of Your Viewing Experience: TV Antenna Installation in Toowoomba
It was a rainy Sunday evening in Toowoomba, and the Smith family gathered around the TV for their weekly movie night. Just as the film's climax approached, the screen froze. The dreaded buffering symbol appeared. Frustrated sighs filled the room as the internet-based streaming service struggled to recover. Sound familiar? This scenario has become all too common for many Australians relying solely on online platforms for entertainment. The good news? You don’t have to let unreliable streaming or patchy internet ruin your viewing experience. It’s time to take control—with a professional TV antenna Installation Toowoomba service.
The Revival of Free-to-Air Television
While streaming platforms dominate headlines, free-to-air TV has quietly undergone a transformation. In Australia, over 90% of households still access free-to-air television, and for good reason. Channels now offer HD quality broadcasts and a variety of niche content that rivals popular streaming platforms—all without a monthly subscription fee .
By opting for TV antenna installation Toowoomba service, you unlock access to a range of digital channels offering live sports, blockbuster films, and local news. These broadcasts are transmitted directly to your home, bypassing the need for internet altogether. This means uninterrupted viewing—even during storms or peak internet usage times when streaming services falter.
Why an Antenna Is Your Best Bet in Toowoomba
Toowoomba’s unique geography presents challenges for signal reception. Rolling hills and densely built neighborhoods can cause interference, leaving many residents struggling with pixelated screens or dropped signals. This is where professional antenna installation Toowoomba service becomes crucial.
A tailored installation ensures your antenna is placed at the optimal height and angle to receive the strongest signal. Experts can also recommend the right type of antenna—be it directional or omnidirectional—based on your location.
In addition, modern TV antennas are built for resilience. They feature materials designed to withstand Australia’s harsh weather, from heavy rains to intense sun. With antenna repair Toowoomba services, you can extend the life of your equipment, ensuring consistent performance for years to come.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
Here’s a statistic that might surprise you: Australians spend an average of 2 hours and 20 minutes per day watching live and time-shifted television . That’s a significant chunk of leisure time. By investing in TV antenna repair Toowoomba or installation, you’re not just fixing a minor inconvenience—you’re enhancing the quality of a daily habit.
Moreover, live TV remains the go-to source for breaking news, live sports, and community-focused content. If you’ve ever tried streaming live sports, you know the pain of delays or “spoilers” popping up on social media before your stream catches up. With free-to-air TV, you’re always in sync with real-time events.
Beyond the Basics: Hidden Benefits of TV Antennas
Local Programming: Free-to-air TV is the best way to stay connected to Toowoomba’s events, weather updates, and regional stories.
Cost Savings: While streaming services collectively cost Australian households over $1.4 billion annually, a one-time investment in antenna installation Toowoomba saves you from recurring bills .
Eco-Friendly Option: Unlike streaming, which requires energy-intensive data centers, free-to-air TV has a lower carbon footprint.
Choosing the Right Professionals
Not all installation services are created equal. When selecting a provider for antenna service in Toowoomba, look for these qualities:
Experience: Choose technicians familiar with Toowoomba’s specific challenges.
Warranty: Reliable providers offer guarantees for their work.
Customer Reviews: Positive feedback speaks volumes about quality and reliability.
Your Viewing Experience, Your Choice
The next time you’re plagued by buffering or disappointed with lackluster streaming options, remember that there’s a solution right above you. By installing or repairing your Toowoomba antennas, you regain control over your entertainment, free from the limitations of the internet.
The Smith family made the switch. Now, every Sunday, they enjoy crystal-clear broadcasts of their favorite programs, uninterrupted and hassle-free. Isn’t it time you experienced the same?
Take control of your viewing experience today—because life’s too short for bad TV.

goodbye 2022
a look back at 2022 ~
I’ll remember this year as the year that I was laid off and had to do a lottttt of maintenance on my inner world. I thought that being in one place, not moving around, and finally settling down a bit would bring me peace and clarity and honestly - even though it sounds cliche - like the world was my oyster and lots of fun endeavors were waiting for me. That all changed when 3 weeks into 2022 I was laid off from my job: The foundation on which my false sense of security rested upon was pulled out right from underneath me. Even though it was terrible and lame and annoying and stressful, I still managed to do a hell of a lot of fun and cool things this year - of course, with my amazing partner by my side. Here’s some of the highlights as I look back:
1. We got to experience PA winter in full swing! It snowed a few times and we cozied up in our new place at the beginning of the year. I think there were even some fun photo shoots in my underwear dancing around in the snow in our backyard?
2. Sean got me a Tiffany’s necklace for vday and I got him gold roses - quite boujie I’d say! We always spoil each other and this year was no different. And we had a super fancy dinner in Philly, got a free entre, and free dessert! Just our luck.
3. For Sean’s bday we fulfilled his one request - eat lots of different cakes! I think we got 5 or 6 slices of cakes from Paris Baguette and enjoyed every bite. And lottery tickets. Lots. And Lots. Of lottery tickets.
4. I started writing movie reviews and turning them into youtube videos! It was fun for a little while.. I thought with all of my thoughts and ideas i’d be able to sustain a channel long term but that sh*t is a lot of work and in the end it wasn’t for me. HOWEVER, I did continue to make youtube videos all year - mostly doing nails which have gotten better and better all year long.
5. Living closer to home paid off. We got to spend a lot of time with my family this year. Going to the butterfly garden for my mom’s bday stands out as a highlight as well as shopping with her at Suburban Square, going to my cousin’s wedding, and seeing each other on every major holiday. I used to despise family gatherings, and now I cherish them deeply.
6. My sister was pregnant the first half of the year and I got to go to Florida to throw her a baby shower with my mom and our extended family. It was such a wholesome and fun trip. Usually the Florida sun and humidity isn’t my thing but I thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beach and experiencing being with my Grandma.
7. We went to ITALY! Even if Japan didn’t open its borders to tourists just yet, we still made international travel happen and it was very romantic and fun. Especially Venice - what a gorgeous city, the canals, Doge Palace, aperol spritz and the fancy 10-story walk-up airbnb. We walked like 10 miles a day and throughout Venice, Florence, and Milan we stumbled upon all different kinds of hidden gems (the alchemist’s lair being very memorable, and the view from the top of that hill near our airbnb where i cried lol). The food was a solid 6.5 out of 10 (lol) with shining stars like the sandwiches in Florence and the lows being Cibreo -_- . Sean is an amazing travel buddy and makes anywhere feel like home.
8. We got more tattoos! I think Sean got 6 tattoos?! I got 2 new ones. And counting!
9. We had some solid exercise habits that started by going to the gym together like 4-5 times a week from January through May! We fell off the wagon, then got back on with Peloton, then fell off again. Lol
10. I got a LOVESAC for my bday!!! Which completely changed the game for me with reading. I read 25 books this year which blows my mind. But that was one of the ways that unemployment was productive! We also went kayaking for my bday - so serene, so nice. It was moody and cloudy that day so we were alone on the Schuykill river which was perfect.
11. We made friends! And did things like The Bachelorette weekly watch parties, went to engagement parties and danced our pants off, hosted a labor day picnic and Friendsgiving, and I joined a book club. Friendships are a fun social outlet but Sean is still and will always be the one I love hanging out with the most.
12. We went to Cape may beach and Sean actually went in the ocean with me!!! I loved seeing his smile floating around and letting the waves sway him up and down. And we managed to not get sunburn!
13. We celebrated 3 years of dating!
13. I made a looooooooooot of salads. Famous Rudi salads.
14. I got really into K-pop.. like more than ever before. Even got to see Blackpink which was a once in a lifetime event! Probably one of the happiest days of my life - not exaggerating!
15. Sean got raise after raise after raise and is bringing home the bacon like I’ve never seen him before. It’s been wonderful to see him feeling secure and buying whatever the f he wants!
16. I got a job!!! And in the same month, I bought a brand new car. Goodbye rusty old volvo - hello 2023 soobie :) Adulting.
17. I got to visit my new nephew, Juju, in San Diego and spend a week with my sister. She’s such a good mom and I can’t wait to see juju again this year!
18. We got a PS5 and finally got to play Genshin which is now an obsession - a healthy obsession ;)
19. Sean built an enormous tea collection, decked out his office in a bunch of cool decor & peloton, grew herbs and plants in our backyard, stood up to our cranky neighbors, discovered his new fave store (rikumo) and got us to start doing Japanese workshops, booked us a trip to Japan for 2023, and help me through a lot of mental struggles. He’s been the one constant, amazing part of my year and I can’t wait for 2023′s memories to be made.

“Quit whining." from my other half was you by sam_writes_fics | Rated M | Josh Lyman/Sam Seaborn | Complete | a collection of sam/josh prompt based ficlets
A Whole World, Bit by Bit by Dipenates | Rated G | No characters tagged, but focuses on Josh Lyman | Complete | Back from his road-trip, Josh thinks about politics. And Sam. Episode tag for 4.1-2 "20 Hours in America".
stuck with nowhere to go by perfect_little_fool | Rated E | Josh Lyman/Donna Moss | Complete | “In your apartment,” she recalls, craning her neck back to squint at the sky as they walk. “I think I was changing your bandage on your chest and you, uncharacteristically, became very grateful and thanked me for helping you. Then you made some comment about how if you were stranded on a desert island one of the things you’d want with you was, well, me.”
Josh is looking at her, but she’s pointedly not looking at him. For reasons. “Because you’d be the one to get us off of it,” he finishes, nodding his head like he remembers the exact conversation. It’s few and far between that Josh illuminates his feelings about her, even if they’re strictly professional and platonic, but when he does it feels nothing short of a miracle.
Her heart is pounding again. “Yeah. You’re lucky to have me.”
(or, the one that asks and answers: what if it was only Josh and Donna who'd been left behind by the motorcade? just the two of them?)
Back to Earth by ETraytin | Rated T | Donna Moss, Josh Lyman | Complete | Donna's trip to Indiana with the campaign ended up being a lot longer than she planned. The day after isn't looking to be much shorter.

Camping Confessions Part 2
Part 1
Pairing: Grayson Dolan x Reader
Word Count: 1.5k
Summary: After setting up camp, you and Grayson decide to go for a walk. You stumble upon a secluded lake. OooOh wonder what happens next!!!??
You were nervous about being the one to help Grayson put the tent up. You’d been there, hidden behind a camera, to witness the brothers try to figure out the instructions. It always ended in a big quarrel, and you didn’t do well with conflict.
“Whatever you do, don’t let this corner go.” He proceeded to fold the metal rod together, and slide it through the hoops, just like the directions had read. The fact that he read directions before diving in was a quality you admired in Grayson; it reminded you of yourself. “Okay, now slowly let it go.”
“Is this a trick question?”
His hair flopped as he looked up at you from his squatting position. His facial expression read -- are you joking? -- before his eyes lightened and a smile spread across his face. “No. This half should be able to stand on its own.”
And it did.
“Yes!” Grayson was quick to jump up and meet your raised hands for an ‘epic high-five.’ Both your hands stung a bit, but neither of you felt the need to mention it. You still had another half of the tent to build, after all.
You lingered for a second, admiring his bare shoulders exposed by the white muscle top he sported. Now that the boys weren’t uploading weekly, Grayson had been spending more time in the gym. You knew that. But it wasn’t until today, with the sun glistening down on his tan complexion as his arms stretched to fold the next rod together, that you realized just how much of his free time had been dedicated to his newfound pass-time.
Holding down the tent just like you had before, you let your mind wander. You debated on whether he would be strong enough to lift you -- to hold you -- against a wall as his mouth worked over your neck. You imagined you’d either have your hands on his shoulders, or tugging at his lengthy locks, or even running down his bare back as-
“And for the big reveal!” Grayson stepped away from the tent, motioning at you to do the same. He laughed like a kid as your hand released the nylon string and the tent didn’t topple over.
“We pitched a tent!” His embrace was sudden and forceful, almost knocking you off your feet. His strong grip was quick to wrap around the other side of you, keeping you from falling. Even with a thin layer of sweat and outdoors, he still smelled like fresh linens.
It took you a moment, but soon your arms were wrapped around his neck. Laughter and cheers surrounded the two of you as you jumped up and down, moving together as one. “We did it!”
The two of you had settled down and resumed your places in folding chairs. You sat with the cooler in front of you, digging down to the bottom as Grayson watched with an intent stare.
“We don’t want to fly through our P-N-J’s just yet!”
You handed him a sandwich and grabbed one for yourself as well before shutting the cooler. Without a word, you opened the reusable container and sunk your teeth into its soft bread. Your mouth was sticky with peanut butter as you mumbled, “I packed extra.”
His eyes danced down to your closed mouth smile, and his face softened. Something between awe and amazement plucked at his heart strings as he opened the container, taking a bite of his own.
“I’m back!” Ethan was marked up and down with scratches and splotches of dirt. He flopped down backwards into the last fold out chair, across from you and Grayson. “I got lost.”
“What do you mean you got lost? How did you get lost going to pee?”
With the flip of a switch, every ounce of anger or annoyance you’d spent the last hour trying to shake out of Grayson had built back up. His eyes bled with disdain toward his brother as he ripped out chunks from his sandwich.
You stood from your chair, grabbing the bottle of water from the cup holder. “E, Grayson and I are going to go check out the area. We’ll be back in a little bit.”
Watching you two stroll off, arms brushing and sharing small smiles, Ethan couldn’t help but to feel upset. He was happy for his brother, he could tell there was something going on between the two of you, but he just wanted to engage in a conversation without feeling like he wasn’t meant to be there.
“So I’m thinking we should look for firewood?”
“Didn’t know we had an expert survivalist on our hands.” Grayson’s shoulder bumped against yours as you squeezed down a narrow path. He smiled down at you, watching you watch your feet for any sticks or pebbles that might cause you to trip.
“Learned from the best.”
It was his turn to look at his feet.
“You’re cute when you blush.” You felt like you were walking on air, waiting for his reply. You were sure that the wind was going to trip you and your nervous limbs, sending you face-first into humiliation.
“That’s supposed to be my line.”
The two of you walked with quiet smiles on your faces, until you came across a lake. The body of water was surrounded by trees on each side, with the falling evening sun reflecting off of the still water.
“Last one in the water has to build the fire!”
Grayson knew he’d be the one stuck with the task, but he enjoyed the way your face lit up at the challenge. So, he matched your pace down the hill and raced to strip down to his underwear. Just as he had jumped off the rock, your squeal was muffled by a splash.
You pushed the water from your eyes just in time to see him resurface and do the same. Paddling over to him, you smirk. “Guess we can’t all be winners. It’s a shame, too. Your fire won’t last fifteen minutes.”
“Are you questioning my survival skills?”
“I might be.”
“You’re going under.”
A yelp escaped your mouth as you tore through the water, desperate to get back to shore before you got pulled underwater by the man stalking right behind you. When you could touch, you used your feet to try and tread through the water faster, but Grayson was able to reach your ankle and pull you down into the cold.
He let you catch your breath and wipe your eyes before slowly stalking toward you. With every step he took forward, you took one back. The dance, a mixture of heavy breathing and intense stares, continued until your back was against a rock. “Now, what was that about being a winner?”
With his hands resting on either side of your head and the mischievous glint in his eyes, you were unable to find words. You tried, you really did, but when his head tilted down and his hot breath fanned over your neck, you gave up.
His hand rested at your chin, turning your head to meet his eyes as his voice dropped to a whisper. “Stop me if you don’t want this.”
Alarm bells were going off in your mind, reminding you that this was your best friend. Somehow, as his eyes fell down to your lips, you found them quieting down and being overtaken with thoughts. Do it do it do it do it do it do it.
So you did.
You inched your head forward, connecting your lips. They were wet and soft and needy against yours. Your lips battled for dominance, which he easily won as your head came to rest back against the rock.
A soft moan escaped his mouth as your fingers tugged at his wet locks, and his hips involuntarily jutted against your stomach. The hand that had been on your chin was now cupping your jaw, pushing your head to the side as he left open mouth kisses along your neck.
Chills ran though your body and your own sounds began to escape your mouth. You found your leg trying to wrap around his waist, trying to — needing to — get closer.
“Jump.”
It was a simple command, one that caused you to open your eyes for the first time. You were met with his eyes, which held no trace of a joking matter.
So you jumped.
As soon as he pressed you back against the rock, you were reminded of how little you actually had on. You were sure the rock behind you was leaving scratches all along your back as he began to rock into you, making quick work of leaving hickies along your neck. You could feel him right between your legs, right where you needed him most, which only made the fire burning within you grow stronger.
Everything came to a halt so fast.
You felt like you were falling from cloud nine as all friction between you two stopped, and his forehead came to rest at the crook of your neck.
“Not here.” His words were muffled, but audible enough for you to understand that maybe you should get off him. Once you were on stable footing, he took a step back from you. His face was flushed as he pushed hair from his eyes. “We should start us off right.”
His words were simple, but they spoke measures.
“C’mon,” he offered out a hand, which you took, “let’s go back.”
