Center color pages for August Outlaw from Chapters 4 and 16. I probably won’t be posting summaries of all the chapters already (since the manga’s done and dusted), so I’m just gonna post all the art and extras here for anyone who’s interested. ^^

In the latest chapter of August Outlaw... After Hidaka wins against Sakurai, Sakurai calls him out and demands to know if he was underestimating him by not throwing his fastball from the start. Hidaka replies that he was hoping his cutter would break although it didn’t. He decided to finish things off with his fastball after Sakurai hit his second pitch. And so Sakaki asks the other senpai if they would rejoin the club, but Sakurai comes out and says that they don’t have a coach, or funds, or enough people and he can’t even hit the pitch of a first year, so there’s no way they can aim for Koushien. Even after Oniki says they can fight for Koushien with Hidaka’s pitching, Sakurai turns him down saying there’s nobody in Japan who expects anything from them after what has happened. One of the other senpai finds out that only one flag was stolen so with that flag in hand, the third years leave. Even though Hidaka shouts at them saying he wants to play with them, they ignore him. Hidaka isn’t dissuaded however, and tells Oniki that he won’t give up.
Meanwhile, we see a guy with a beard watching them. His daughter, who just joined the school, finds him and points out 8 of the outstanding players amongst the third years (6th/7th images). His daughter asks why they didn’t leave with the other players after the incident and he says since they were invited to Teitoku, they’re probably being stubborn about playing for Teitoku only. He thinks they have a chance at the Koushien if they had continued to play. Hidaka is the one who surprises him though, since he has never seen Hidaka in the Junior Leagues. Even though the bearded guy wants to continue to watch Hidaka who interests him, he is dragged off by his daughter.
Hidaka decides to practice with Oniki and when his pitch finds the mitt, the sound echoes around the grounds and in the ears of the third years. We see them head back to the dorms after practice, where the third years stay now after the special dorm for the baseball players closed. Sakurai can’t help but recall Hidaka’s pitching and he remembers Kamijou telling him to bring back the winner’s flag.
The next day, we see the school’s health teacher, Kooriyama Taichi (27) (8th image) in the infirmary. When he tries to tell some students off, he gets frightened by their replies. Sakaki (9th image) is chilling there as well on a bed behind a curtain, and sees on his phone that Makabe told him Oniki and Hidaka had morning practice. Just then, Hidaka storms into the infirmary with Oniki. He tells Kooriyama that he heard the teacher is the teacher-in-charge of the baseball club and hopes for him to organize some practice matches so as to convince the senpai to return to the club. Kooriyama says he has no experience with baseball whatsoever, there won’t be enough players even if he tries to do it, and that there are no other schools that would play against them. He goes on to say that baseball has been taken away from them, but Hidaka corrects him to say that that isn’t it, it’s just the senpai who refuse to play, and it’s not possible for anyone to take baseball away from them. All this while, Sakaki has been listening behind the curtain. Just then, the door opens to reveal the bearded guy who is wearing a Douin Gakuen jacket. Oniki identifies him as Coach Isurugi, who brought Douin Gakuen to the runner-up position at Koushien last year. Isurugi reveals that he has come looking for the teacher-in-charge of the baseball club to propose a practice match...
Source: Public raws Sorry I’m pretty much always late with the summary for this. My schedule’s been kinda messed up lately, but I’ll always try my best to put this out before the next chapter comes out. Speaking of which, center color in the next chapter. Stay tuned~

In the second chapter of August Outlaw... (Sorry for the late post, was catching up with other stuff, but I hope whoever’s still interested will enjoy~)
So from the previous chapter, Hidaka steals the Koushien winner’s flag from the display case and threatens the senpai with it. He intends to take them on and make them rejoin the club if he wins. Sakurai (first image top panel), the former catcher, comes out and says he doesn’t care about the flag to the surprise of his (former) teammates. So Hidaka takes out a pair of scissors and as the senpai get desperate, one of the senpai, Makabe (first image bottom right panel, on the right with an undercut) agrees to face off with him, and manages to convince Sakurai to agree.
The deal is such. Hidaka will face off against one batter and if he strikes the batter out, he wins, but if the batter gets a hit off him, he will return the flag and Sakurai promises to break his dominant arm so he won’t ever play baseball again. With that, Hidaka chooses Sakurai as the batter and they prepare to face off. Oniki is chosen as the catcher and Hidaka announces that he has two types of pitches, a 4 seam fastball and a cutter that doesn’t break. He says he will decide on the pitches himself in response to Oniki. Of course, Hidaka has to put the flag aside and the senpai take it, only for him to say he’s hidden another 4 elsewhere. He asks one of the senpai to be the umpire, and isn’t worried about it as he’s confident of getting a strikeout. Sakurai choses Sakaki (second image bottom left), who has a Kansai accent, and before they start, Sakaki warns Hidaka that Sakurai has been the team No.3 since his first year, and is a real monster to face off against.
Sakurai gets in a few practice swings (third image), and the bat slips out of his hand in the first try, flying into center field. Hidaka ducks to avoid it and is surprised by his swing. He’s really hyped up though and his first pitch is a strike that Sakurai doesn’t even swing at (fourth image). After which, Hidaka asks the senpai about Kamijou-san (the pitcher who got a career-ending injury after pitching consecutive games at Koushien). The senpai ignore him and Sakurai gets the challenge to continue. He pitches again, but Sakurai hits it this time, only for it to land outside the foul line (fifth & sixth images).
After a flashback to Kamijou’s injury, Sakurai replies that Kamijou’s pitches were something that let him think “We can go to Koushien” the first time he saw it, and are different from Hidaka’s pitches. Before the third pitch, Hidaka makes a different sign to Oniki, and Sakurai, Sakaki and Oniki all notice this. They all think that it will be his cutter, and Sakaki wonders if Hidaka is an idiot. Hidaka is however really hyped up and pitches with all his might a pitch that represents the baseball he is looking forward to. Sakurai swings and misses and Oniki barely manages to catch the pitch. And while all the senpai are surprised, Sakaki and Sakurai realize that his first two pitches were actually his cutter, and this last pitch is his fastball. With Koushien in the background (of the minds of the senpai), Hidaka sticks up his thumb in a victory pose.

New baseball manga that starts its serialization in Shounen Magazine this week. (Don’t ask me if it’ll survive since a ton of new manga haven’t and Daiya is also in the same magazine, but on the flip side... Days and Area no Kishi (both soccer manga) are still running so... Well, I’m hoping. ^^)
Anyway, this new manga is titled August Outlaw. Hidaka Yuugou, a Japanese teenager from America, transfers to Teikoku High School in Japan after learning that he can pitch as much as he wants there, while he is limited to a certain number of pitches in the States. He only learns later that the school has abandoned its baseball club after the star pitcher injured himself permanently during Koshien, and the school was heavily criticized by the media and the public. Many players quit or transferred schools and the only people remaining are third years who were specially accepted to the school before the furor, who are now just lazing around in the clubroom, and the only official member and captain of the club, Oniki Riichi. So Hidaka gets beaten up by the senpai and decides to join the club and provoke them to return to play the baseball that they love.
Might continue to post spoilers here for a while. ^^ I quite like the art.
