MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR. writing that scene actually had me pacing. It needed to be a mix of almost unconscious manipulation, sweet consideration, and flag-seen-through-rose-colored glasses red. It's only been a day, Chuuya has no proof that Dazai actually understands the risks, but maybe he enjoys that part of the prospect of a real relationship with him, anyway. And in the end, Chuuya ends up with the burden of saying yes--of being the more mature, level-headed of the two of them. Dazai quite literally shoves responsibility into his hands. It was so fun to write.

I was in fact giggling when I wrote that.

Ugh... I really really love tsp!sskk. They're undeniably the most fun pair to write in this fic ( the 70s!LAPD Squad too ) while tsp!skk are the most tragic, challenging, and gut-wrenching. I just think writing Atsushi and Akutagawa without Dazai in the picture is fun sorry i love him i really do but he fucked them up.
