8.) what inspired your world building, if anything?

i think ive mentioned on here before that when i first started hashing out refactoring, the whole idea for the world being made up of computer code came from an old cataclysmalbound plot point that i really loved at the time physical aspects of the world, lots of inspiration from video games and how they work (the world has glitches and stuff. speedrunning is an actual real world sport. physics are just kind of funky. deadzones are massive minecraft farlands-esque expanses of digitally corrupted land. mavis is an anomaly, which is basically just like if a guy could clip through walls because reality didnt know what to do with them). social aspects of the world mainly come from what it was like to grow up online imo (in my mind vitium is kind of just the internet). technical aspects of the world, like getting into the nitty gritty of trying to explain Why Things Work The Way They Do, i am trying and would further like to take some inspiration from the actual wires and systems and etc that make up how the internet runs :) because deep in my heart i am a compsci enjoyer even though its kind of difficult for me to wrap my head around that stuff sometimes eventually i also tapped into my love for inanimate things being alive (the code that makes up the fabric of this world is alive and she loves you) to wrap it all up with a bow ^_^
