oH I ALSO GOT A NEW SPECIAL INTEREST !!!!! i still love hamilton the musical but sadly its just not. tickling my brain anymore; now it's entomology and insects SPECIFICALLY MOTHS AAAA i love moths so much my favourite is bombyx mori aka the domestic silk moth from the family bombycidae order lepidoptera cause. i mean have you SEEN them they're adorable (and interesting)

im ok! ish! things have been kinda up and down recently. having some health problems which is also causing some mental health problems but im doing my best to take care of myself in both cases so dont worry!

to answer your question, my favourite thing about star trek is the characters!! they all have so much depth and we spend a decent amount of time with each of them developing their personalities and backstories and relationships to each other. each individual has their own charm to them, not just the main characters. they all feel like People!! every time someone brings up a character you can't help but say "omg i love [character]!!" no matter who it is lmao

i do also love the special effects and especially the practical effects in star trek. theres something so endearing about watching jim fight a man in a full body rubber lizard suit or a dog wearing a costume to act as an alien lifeform

Anyway, I've put a lot of thought into this and have though everything from Distant Early Warning to Stick It Out to Cinderella Man, but I think you're probably... Caravan (Clockwork Angels)

Honestly, this whole album is such your vibe. It's a steampunk themed concept album loosely based on Voltaire's Candide about a young hero (named Owen Hardy in the books, and yes, there is a trilogy based off the album!!!) who lives in a world where everyone's fate is pre-determined by the Watchmaker, and he tries to deny his fate and goes out into the city, gets caught up in a traveling circus, and is blamed for a bombing by the Anarchist, tries to find the Seven Cities of Gold, and eventually settles back down and records the adventures of his life.

This the opening track to the album, and while it's heavier than most of Rush's other material, bordering on progressive metal at times, the line "In a world where I feel so small/ I can't stop thinking big" reminds me SO MUCH of you!!!

Anyway. Go listen to Clockwork Angels, especially Caravan <3

I am doing okay-ish!!

I'm just finishing up my school year and am working on packing up all my stuff out of my apartment so I can go crash on my friend's couch for the summer. Sadly, I'll be losing access to my PC until I move back in next school year, so you're not gonna see me on here a lot. If I post any art at all for the next few months, it'll be traditional pencil sketches (which I'm not particularly good at). My mom's over right now helping me pack so I've been chatting with her and entertaining her.

Since the disappointment over season 3 of Mando, my fixation has moved over to Jerma. I'm thinking about going into my YouTube history and calculating how many hours of Jerma content I've watched this past month or two. It's very easily in the hundreds, I'm certain of it. Every waking hour I haven't spent at school has been watching him. Unfortunately, I don't really like most of the Jerma fandom so that's led to me being in my bubble, consuming clip comps and vods rather than interacting with any fandom spaces (thereby being off Tumblr a lot). I've been exceptionally annoying about it and this man has given me a whole host of new vocal stims.

Leg has been a mixed bag. I'm frustrated I'm not strong enough to walk right away because I am impatient, and because my limb is no longer used to the friction and weight of the prosthetic, it started getting blisters. But I've noticed a huge increase in energy and morale just being able to wear it at all. I wore it in my wheelchair to class a few times and I was filled with such enthusiasm I haven't felt in a very long time!
