Seven Sentence Sunday

Okay I was tagged in One Sentence Friday by @chelle-68 but wasn’t near my computer to post so here are six additional sentences lol

Rooster looks at him for a second. “Seriously? We’ve been fake boyfriends for over year now, I think you can start calling me Bradley.”

It never occurred to Jake to call him by his real name. It feels like too close an approximation to a real relationship for him. Jake wants to keep him at arm’s length, to think of him as Rooster, as the powerful, global superstar that he watched command an entire arena with ease last night, not as Bradley, not as the soft, sleep-rumpled man wearing a stretched-out, wrinkled t-shirt and boxers standing in front of him with his bare feet on the carpet of Jake’s hotel room. He doesn’t want him to be real.

Because that would make this feeling swirling in his gut real, too, this feeling that’s all from Bradley fake-flirting with him, and serenading him for the cameras with songs he wrote for someone else that Jake doesn’t care to google because it would kill him to know who.

Jake swallows. “Yeah. Okay.”

He still doesn’t call him Bradley, and he knows Rooster clocked it by the purse of his lips and the twitch of his mustache as he pushes himself from Jake’s door frame and walks back into his own room, a casually cruel, “See you later, Hangman,” thrown over his shoulder.

(so, turns out im incapable of NOT writing a celebrity au right out the gate when I hyperfixate on a new ship, whoops. so heres the nepo-baby-popstar!bradley and former-child-actor-turned-movie-star!jake fake dating fic that i couldnt get out of my head)

the instant I saw her cute baby face, glowing yellow eyes, long sleeves, stocking'd legs, and green color scheme, I was reminded of my long lost daughterfu Luckyuro. now I cannot unsee, I am obsessed, I absolutely want to play ScarVi now and write out scenarios in which Rika and I— I mean, my OC, adopt her and spoil her. name her Lucky. a family can be an ancient funloving gremlin girl and her two moms. ok Luckyuro had more of a big sister and a star-crossed potential human stepbrother. how I miss them.
