Started All For the Game series on on the afternoon of December 29th and it is now January 1 and I have finished the 2nd book. (Will probably have mild spoilers)

First book was pretty good, enough to keep me entertained. I don't know if I can say the writing is Objectively Good and Well Crafted-I feel like its a lil messy at times? But thats okay I'm just here for a good time

Second book is a lot better IMO. It definitely gets a little fucked up at times but it doesn't have to explain the lore and history of a fictional sport and mafia families and the various schools and Training Arcs and learning what the different characters are like.

Instead, it gives me the Big Showdown and then a bunch of little character interactions and explorations and whatever. Which I really like. I do kinda feel like the Big Showdown would have made more sense to be the end of book 1, since it was brought up as the main conflict back in book 1.

Side note I would NOT have predicted the Endgame Romance character at the end of book 1 if I hadn't known about it from tumblr ship art lmao. But I def started seeing lil hints here and there in book 2.

I think I'll take a small break for today and then start the 3rd book tomorrow. And then of course the newest book featuring a certain character we got to meet in book 2 👀

So yeah, its pretty good and I recommend it! Especially if you like sports animes lol. But may wanna look up a content warning list, especially for book 2
