these were a fun quick build that includes ABS parts for some reason that likely involves joint durability for the arms

not sure why certain other parts were on the ABS runners though

HGUC 1/144 E.F.S.F. Mass-Produced Mid-Range Support Pod RB-79 "Ball"

Ball!!! This week's build is a quick little twin set of RB-79 Balls. The HGUC Ball twin set is relatively new, having released in 2010, however the design ethos and plastic quality feels a lot older. The set completely lacks stickers, so I had to use my metallic green marker and scavenge leftover stickers from my Origin kits to spruce them up.

This set consists of two identical sets of runners, allowing you to build the set twice. Each Ball comes with two weapon options: a 120mm double autocannon, or the classic 180mm recoiless cannon seen in the original series.

I built #307 with the double cannon, and gave it some of the corporate stickers from my GM Sniper II. I kept #301 simpler with only a few stickers and gave it the 180mm recoiless cannon.

The kits go together really quickly, with minimal moving parts or complex internals, and even come with their own little stands. Each Ball took me about an hour, and I feel like it's a great starter kit.

This kit was a great addition to my UC collection and it was really fun adding additional detail. The kits even have a fully detailed cockpit behind the main screen, although it was a little too small for me to paint.
