They went to college together. Y/N was dating his best friend during that time, but Harry and her never got along anyway.

One day Harry’s on a morning shift (straight out of a night one) when he’s required for a medical attendance. When he arrives at the emergency room, Y/N’s waiting on the hospital bed to be checked out.

“You,” she groaned, fighting the urge to roll her eyes at the sight of him. The pain in her ribs being her only impediment. “Of course it had to be you, hadn’t it?”

“Lovely to see you, too,” Harry replied, sarcasm all over his words as he grabbed the light brown folder in front of him and read over the notes that explained what brought her to the ER at 10:00 a.m on a Sunday. He chuckled, looking up at her with a lifted eyebrow, “Some things never change, hm? Still as clumsy as ever, I see.”

“Oh, shut up,” she mumbled, looking anywhere else but him. This was embarrassing enough.

“Actually, it’s you who should be speechless. Didn’t that fall hurt? Show me exactly where you hit yourself with the ladder, I’ll have to examine you.”

“Can’t I just ask for another doctor? The attending? No offence, but I trust them better.”

The corners of his mouth slowly lifted, forming a condescending smirk, “You’re talking to him, darling.”
