i actually did a little research on this in a college queer history class because i was in psych at the same time! personal opinion and takeaway from my research is that it's context-dependent, not shocking. as a title, anyone can say it because it's an Identity and the only word that really exists to describe the concept. but as i think someone in the tags said, if someone is using it to try to cause harm, it's probably a slur, especially if the person it is being wielded against feels harmed by it.

i still have this research around somewhere if any other psychology/linguistics autists wanted to see it :3

I'm considering the tag "abdl-adj" for things cg/l and abdl things that border on ageplay. would this be helpful for anyone? does anyone actually care when i post cg/l stuff? i feel like an overwhelming quantity of my followers are already ageplayers but i don't know. as per the bio my interest in cg/l and abdl is more disability oriented than age oriented, and i am in fact rather squicked out by explicit ageplay bc of the trauma, but it's undeniable that there's overlap. adjacent really does feel like the best descriptor. and I'm too genuinely narcissistic to just not post it so it's either untagged or tagged.
