Winston may have been a master of mechanical and electrical engineering, but computers were a completely different matter. They had their own version of a computer in his home dimension, but compared to this earth’s - well - this earth’s was too primitive for him to understand and it could take him weeks before reverse engineering his sophisticated tech to match the ones he needed to get his hands on. He figured infiltration, but it was too risky considering the level of security he had to face in the facility he’s trying to get into - he’ll consider the alternative of hiring someone besides, he’s got plenty of money for motivation.
