Without   intention,   his   presence   seemed   to   warp   the   very   air   around   him,   a   miasma   of   chaos   and   command   that   was   unsettling   as   it   was   compelling.

"Ah,   hello   to   you   too,   my little   songbird."   he   murmured,   his   voice   a   low,   velvety   whisper.   "Do   not   let   my   visage   deceive   you.   These   scars   are   merely   the   etchings   of   a   past   filled   with   struggles   and   truths   most   would   rather   not   face.   I'd   truly offer   an   apology   if   your   discomfort   concerned   me."

He   took   a   step   closer,   the   sound   of   his   boots   echoing   as   he   encroaches   closer.   "Why,   there   is   something   that I   do   need!   It's   ever   rarely   so   simple   ---   but   at   this   moment,   I   seek   only   a   conversation.   A   glimpse   into   the   mind   behind   those   pretty   eyes."

His   lips   curled,   teeth   glinting   like   knives.   "Tell   me,   what   is   it   that   makes   you   shiver   so?   Is   it   the   fear   of   the   unknown,   or   the   unsettling   truth   that   you   see   a   reflection   of   your   own   unspoken   fears   within   me?"   Assumptions   made   are   assumptions   gained,   and   he   was   eager   to   dissect   her   thoughts   piece   by   piece.

Robin   didn't   like   the   look   of   this   man.   It   wasn't   because   of   his   scar   riddled   face,   something   just   felt..   unnervingly   off   about   him.   Their   eyes   met   and   a   shiver   immediately   ran   down   her   spine.
