It’s hard to see Erwin as an insecure man, as he seems to always have an answer to everything. Being around Erwin, you’ll always be relegated to a sense of security because hardly anything could ever go wrong when you’re with him. He’s definitely not insecure about his wit and intellect, neither was he insecure about his looks since those pair of blue eyes were enough to make knees go weak; his posture was ideal – standing tall at 188cm he’s the epitome of a sight, whenever he arrives all eyes would be on the Commander.

However, unbeknownst to almost anyone, not even his closest comrades, he has one dire insecurity that he can never overcome. He is insecure by the fact that he cannot be close with any person to an emotional, personal level. He is deeply insecure about his lack of empathy, and this becomes his source of envy whenever he sees the likes of Hange that not only earns the respect from their comrades but also their love. Even Levi, who seems cold and menacing, but actually warm at heart. Erwin thinks he does not have this quality, for he is always calculating and believes to a chronic degree that everyone always has an ulterior motive. Erwin sees people in a very transactional way: people give to take. He finds it hard to understand that someone would go a lengthy way for no gain but their sentimental feelings towards someone. This is his deepest insecurity because it makes him worried that as a leader, he may fail one day to predict someone’s action in the future.

At a sentimental view point, Erwin believes to an unhealthy degree that he is inherently a bad person, foreign to warmth and love, and only driven by his personal endeavor. This is why, although I headcanon him to be quite experienced, he will never marry. Because he knows he can never set aside his endeavor for other people, nor does loving anybody give him any sort of satisfaction.

Erwin upholds his image as a leader very seriously. He will never ever lose his cool in front of other people just because of a significant other. He vows to maintain the myth of Erwin Smith as the Survey Corps’ devil’s incarnation, and to pertain that image he has to relinquish any seemingly primal desire that makes him look human, for an instance: desire for sex.

If you are in the Corps and he lusts over you, expect a lot of intent, lingering stare from him. You’d be training with the rest of the cadets and he’d be watching by the courtyard. At first, he’d seem like he’s just talking with his fellow high-ranking officials, but then you’d catch his eyes staring straight at you, and then slowly down to you tits. There would only be a brief, fleeting smirk, as he turns his eyes back to the other officials. The stares would continue, in the dining hall, amidst the murmuring noise, you’d accidentally catch his glance and he’d be drinking his rum with his eyes latching on you. 

Erwin is godly in his self-restraint, his lusting would take weeks to months, until he catches you mindlessly biting your lips or crossing your legs as you feel your cunt throb under his eyes, yearning for his touch. He’ll let you to be the one that takes the bait, he wants you to be driven by your impulse. Maybe one night he’ll slither out of the dining hall early, and you can’t help but to follow his steps. He’ll disappear in the quiet hallway to your disappointment, until he surprised you from behind, reappearing like a ghost from one of the castle’s nook, whispering to your ears with his deep stern voice, and then guided you to his office room where you’ll be fucked raw with a rag to gag your mouth.

I'm in love with your college au Reiner fic and I've reread it twice already. This paragraph:
