❄ Hex at Sam (im sorry)
Hex had asked them to go out one day - they'd been noticing more and more attention from the Hunter, which was slightly surprising, since Sam figured they were the last person the wild and unpredictable Hunter would want to hang out with. They were Hex's opposite, though he did suppose they were similar in some ways too.
One such way was the fact they both enjoyed milkshakes, though Sam preferred strawberry over cherry, they had to say. But that was where they suggested the two of them head out to. Conversation had been pleasant; at first Sam had been quiet, unsure of what to say exactly, because they didn't think there would be much for them to discuss, but once they'd found their footing, it was enjoyable.
Until they headed outside, and the Warlock noticed Hex stop, to which they stopped too, turning to ask what was wrong, only to receive a snowball to the face.
Sam reached to clean their face of snow, before staring wide-eyed at the Hunter for a few moments. Then it was on: their mouth crooked back up into a little smile at the corners of their lips, and they reached down to ball up some snow and launch it at Hex.

Hex set out to the City like in good old times, the violin on his hip, though he wasn't wearing armor - just a plain, pink shirt, jeans and pink platforms. Of course, the collar from Shrike rang faintly on his neck when he walked, the sound of it almost undetectable to the Awoken anymore.
He spotted a familiar figure of an Exo, one he didn't see in a long while due to all that went down, and decided to follow. After hiding in the Void, Hex started playing a familiar tune, which both of them played together a couple times. It felt good to just do something silly like this again.
After a while, the Awoken stopped playing, being close enough to Sika. With the violin back on his hip, Hex shifted out of the Void right in front of the Exo, letting him bump into him. "Head in the clouds, as always." He sighed with a grin, snickering a little. "You could have trampled me."
Sika's antennae perked up when he heard the familiar tune, freezing in place for a moment. The Hunter glanced around the surrounding area, trying to locate the source and to see if it really was who he thought it was, but he couldn't see anyone with a violin. Maybe it was just another street performer, or music drifting from a nearby shop. But then he gave a surprised little squeak when he walked straight into another person.
"Oh, I'm sorry--!" He started, before pausing in shock. "Hex...?" Sika pulled the taller Hunter into a tight hug, "It's been so long since I've seen you! I've missed you so much."
Pulling away, his optics dimmed for a second as they caught sight of the collar. Another reminder, a flash of fear, but he did his best to hide that reaction, and prayed that Hex hadn't noticed anything physically, or in his Light. "We really need to stay in contact more. I would've sent you a message or something I just--" How could he say he was terrified of Shrike, of what might happen if he took a step in the wrong direction?
"I love you, you're my big brother."

Hex comes back after a while and hands Sika a piece of Amethyst wrapped with a thin, leather strap, as if it was once used as a necklace. "I think it will fit to your collection. I found it on one of my trips through the Dreaming City."
Immediately, Sika's optics were drawn to the purple crystal in Hex's hands, and even though he had anticipated that it may be for him, he was still surprised as it was offered to him.
Accepting the piece, he goes to look it over, optics dilating as he heard that it was from the Dreaming City. He almost forgot that he owed a response, "It's beautiful! I don't get much chance to go to the Dreaming City...you'll have to tell me what it's like one day."
As he spoke his optics were still fixated on the crystal, but that didn't mean he wasn't paying attention to Hex. Eventually, he looked up to the other Hunter, offering a happy look.

@unlikelyandco from here!
This certainly hadn’t been a sight Scout was expecting to see.
Hearing the barks had attracted his attention, wondering what exactly they were hunting. At first he’d originally brushed it off, but as Scout walked, the barks didn’t seem to move, indicating that the dogs themselves were stationary. Had they caught something?
As he approached, Scout could feel the Light of a Guardian, albeit it weak, and he presumed something bad had happened. The small warmth of a spark flared to the blazing flames of a Golden Gun in his hands, and he fired three shots near the dogs - no intent to actually hit them, just to scare them off of whatever they had found.
To his surprise, there was no bloodied mess on the ground, and instead he looked up to see Hex, stuck in a tree. “Fancy seein’ you here,” Scout greeted, trying to hold back a laugh, “I know you got Shrike chasin’ after you, but wasn’t expectin’ literal wild dogs. Hope you can get down yourself, don’t wanna have to be your knight in shining armour and go up there myself, too.”

Scout almost flinched away when he felt Hex’s hand rest underneath his chin to raise his head up. How funny, after all that had happened, for him of all people to almost react that way. He was certainly glad that Hex wasn’t mad at him, or Nemo, but...knew that there was no way Hex would’ve been completely unaffected because of how they’d essentially just up and left from the other Hunter’s life.
“I’m sorry. I just--” Did he really want to bring up Shrike this early on? Maybe it’d be better, to get it over and done with, so they could move on to something better, so the name wasn’t looming over all of them, just waiting to strike at any moment. “--just...Shrike. I couldn’t be around him. And I didn’t want to be around you, ‘cause I really didn’t wanna hurt you. I’m a fucking idiot, I do stupid shit all the time, I don’t think about it. I hurt people, Hex, not just ‘cause it’s basically my job. I know that. But I’m really trying this time not to.”
“I’m not good. There’s no question in that, but I can at least be better. ...Even if that meant not talking to you, to keep you safe from me.” There was silence for a few long moments. “But I’m here now-- we’re here now. For you. If you wanted, we could go out? Even if it’s somewhere not in the city, away from people. To catch up. Or we don’t have to talk at all.”
To say the least he seemed...lost. He hadn’t really done this before - every time he’d managed to set a bridge aflame, he’d left it to burn entirely. Scout never went back and attempted to fix things, so this was new. The best he could really think to do was what he offered when others were upset.
At the comment, he gave a little laugh, far less nervous than his previous words, “Yeah, I’m an asshole. I don’t think that’s gonna change. But I missed you, too.”

Nervously dimmed lights soon grew brighter at the compliment. Ever since hearing about Hex, Sika had been a mix of curious and nervous. Since he was one of the people Scout spoke to - and Scout himself intimidated Sika a little - the Hunter had never thought about actually interacting with Hex.
That was until he heard that Hex played violin. Sika himself had never played a violin, at least not in his Guardian life, but that didn’t stop him from being highly interested in it. It didn’t take him long to figure out how to write music for the violin (although admittedly, having a violin of his own would have made things a tad easier), hoping to further his composition skills and having someone actually play his music for once. It was something to write a piece, but getting a person to play it successfully and having it be good was an accomplishment in Sika’s eyes.
“I don’t actually know whether Scout plays an instrument, or knows much about music. I just heard him say that you did, and I thought it’d be cool to show someone.” He finally looked up at Hex, confidence growing, “I’ve never actually played violin. What’s it like? I’ve only really played, guitar, which I’m okay at.”

Two bunnies, one brown and one white, hopped over to the hyena laying in the sun. They both nudged at Scout with their noses as a greeting, before flopping down next to each other on his short mane. They both yawned, extending their paws a little, tiny tongues sticking out for a moment and cuddled to him.
The hyena gave a little grumble of a warble, disturbed from sleep by the two rabbits. Once they settled down he was tempted to reach around and pick one of them up just to get back at them. Instead he just decided to settle, figuring it wasn't worth getting up.
"Not fair. You guys can't just use me as a bed 'cause I'm fluffy." Even if he laid on top of both Hex and Nemo in their human forms, but that was different.
Felix flicked his ear; at least they were warm, even if they were in a relatively sunny spot, the wind still occasionally blew through and the two rabbits were good little balls of heat. "Why are you always managing to wake me up? Every time you cuddle up to me it's after I'm dozing off." But his tone was still warm, he didn't really care. Felix loved to cuddle up with them.

Picking Up The Pieces
@unlikelyandco
Today had been...a rough day, to say the least. Exactly what had happened, Scout couldn't recall. His Ghost had said that it didn't matter what had happened, that they could easily deal with that later, once the current issue was dealt with.
This was such an odd state to be in. Knowing inherently how to walk, speak, fight, wield the Light, but not much else.
The Hunter was stuck contemplating that, and what else his Ghost-- Cyclone had told him. Keeping some journals turned out to work wonders, and although there was obviously no way he would remember everything immediately. There was no way he would remember absolutely everything anyway. Cyclone had told him that it was alright, and the person they were going to see was a friend; someone Scout could trust.
Going off of what he'd supposedly written before, that was true, but did Scout have much of a choice to believe otherwise? They got to the door of the other's house, and Scout gave a knock. Once the door opened, he gave a greeting, "Hey!..."
"...Chares." Cyclone had to finish it for him, hoping to bring a sense of gravity to the situation with the use of Hex's real name. No look of recognition flashed across Scout's optics; no look of happiness to see the other, as if Hex was just another person. His optics, however, did flick between Hex and the ground, almost in a timid manner unbefitting of Scout, as if he felt almost guilty for the fact he couldn't remember the other's name.
Seeing that Scout himself wasn't going to say it, Cyclone spoke up once again, hovering protectively near their Guardian, "He's been reset. Don't panic, he's alright, just...I thought it would be a good idea to bring him to you, instead of handling it alone like usual."

Note
Felix and Hex were supposed to go out, but in the time it took Felix to get ready, Hex got other ideas - definitely nothing about even leaving this bedroom.
Before the other could put on a jacked, Hex pushed him on the bed and moved on top of him. He pinned both of the other's hands above his head with just one of is. "I have different plans for you." He grinned, the fingers of the other hand teasing just on the edge of the other's belt. They slipped under Felix's shirt, raising it up a little, but he moved his hand away and under one of the pillows.
He took out a hairband with cat ears, or at least that's what it said on the label in the store, but with the orange tinge they could pass as a fox too. Without waiting for Felix's reaction, Hex slid them on top of the other's head and grinned. "Better."
Felix gave a little squeak of surprise when he was pushed down onto the bed, just as he was reaching for his jacket. "Hey--! I just did my hair!" Of course that's what he was thinking about, but he was quickly distracted when Hex clambered on top of him. His eyes widened slightly when his hands were pinned above him, but he was quick to look back at Hex's face with a smirk.
Damn Hex for being taller than him. Even if he could've easily weaselled his way out of Hex's grip, Felix didn't, but that didn't mean he thought it was unfair that Hex got to basically tower over him.
Shifting his hips a little when Hex's hand settled near his belt, he couldn't complain when they instead snuck under his shirt. Maybe staying at home tonight would be a lot more fun than going out, though he hoped Nemo wouldn't be too bothered. Felix knew he wasn't exactly quiet. All his attention was focused on Hex now though. He tried to move his hands, giving a little noise of impatience when he realised they were still pinned above his head.
The same noise was given again paired with an almost pleading expression (that was certainly overdramatised) when Hex's hand left to grab something from under the pillow. Wait, were those-- Felix didn't get a good look at them, but from what he saw, and the fact they were now placed on his head, he was pretty certain they were cat ears.
"You bitch," he spoke, but there was no true anger or annoyance behind it. In fact his expression was quick to change back to that smirk, "Maybe you should get me a collar like yours to go along with them. But later-" he stuck his tongue out at Hex for a moment, "-You better stop teasing now, 'cause I doubt it'd take much to get you beneath me instead if you don't stop~"

🦋 Hex and Sam
Thieves AU
Okay but. Kind of imagining like the start of Arcane. Sam's a scientist or an inventor, or maybe it's just Destinyverse, and Hex steals some of their journals whilst robbing their place and obv Sam wants those back super bad.

🦋 Sika and Hex
Serial Killers ‎AU
Lol this wasn't the soft AU I was looking for LMAO. I reckon this'd play out like bounty hunter AU, maybe just minus Scout. Hex is a serial killer, Sika finds out (maybe they already have a kinda sibling rship established, so Sika doesn't wanna rat Hex out, Hex doesn't wanna kill Sika to silence him). So maybe Hex drags Sika into it too.

Mmm maybe Sam and Hex? Idk if either of them would work there, but maybe they meet there? Hex is being annoying and Sam is just Ugh. Shut Up. Hex is annoying to them, and Sam probs gets up and leaves, but it becomes a weekly ritual, that Hex'll come over and see them, and that Sam ends up tolerating him

“I was gonna say, an Exo repellant would mean missing out on these cookies! And missing out on a music buddy. Although I could see why you’d want peace from Scout.” He obviously wasn’t serious, given the two of them were usually as energetic as one another, but Ivy could definitely understand wanting peace from his antics.
For a moment, he thought, before coming out with, “Spiders. He hates them. Get a pet spider and he’ll never talk to you again.”
Ivy took a sip from his drink, glancing around the area. “So why’re you out here? I guess you probably have a million different valid reasons more than I do, with all the stuff you get up to.”

“You say ‘I hate you’, but all I hear is ‘fuck me’.”  hex to scout probably mid argument can be modern au
His eyes widened for a second at the statement, before narrowing again. "You are the worst." Of course he didn't really mean it, and Felix was well aware that Hex knew that too. But he hated when the other did this: interrupted him in the middle of his point!
Now he couldn't remember what he was going to say! Felix folded his arms over his chest annoyedly, glaring up at the taller man. This clearly wasn't fair at all. "And as if you'd be the one to fuck me. In your goddamn dreams, Hex."

Hex sneaked in behind Scout and wrote 'bitch' at the back of his head with a bright, white marker.
"Hey--!" Scout called out as he felt Hex's arm wrap around him. What the hell was he doing? He felt the marker on his head, and something being written, and his first thought that Hex had probably messed up how his cloak was sitting and he'd spend ages fidgeting with it until it was right again. And then his mind jumped to what the hell Hex had written. So he pushed the other away and rushed over to a mirror, frowning when he read what it said.
He looked back up at Hex, "If anyone's the bitch, it's you. I've seen how you do what you're told when the order comes from certain people."
