I just feel like since France is so meticulous and all about the little details and making sure everything’s planned that it’d be funny if he got his name in such an unplanned, underwhelming way
you are so right and i'm holding onto this nugget so dearly, you have no idea. it's so easy to picture, especially with france, who likes to be friendly and proper with people he meets. him standing there stumbling into the name 'francis' because he has just realised in a flash the several potential consequences of introducing himself as 'france' to a human. it's beautiful. but i'm taking it a bit further because as initially underwhelming as it'd feel, like, 'francis? really? that's the best you can do?' i'd like to think that the subsequent interaction leaves its mark on him. i'd like to think that this human receives it so well and have such a lovely, honest, and memorable conversation with him that france then looks at this name, francis, which has allowed him to briefly feel like a human, and thinks... it's me. it feels natural. it feels precious. and as a bonus, it also kind of feels like an inside joke for him to enjoy each time he uses it, which brings in a whole other layer of joy.
i'm so in love with it.

With lack if a better way to describe it, it just feels authentic, your characters feel like real people, not rigid or shoehorned in, they feel like someone you'd actually meet with real flaws, your writing style flows just so well and just 👌👀
ahhh,, im so flattered! i love characters with a bit of bite to them, and im glad you think this about the characters that i write! toni may be my baby but theyre all secretly my babies and i love to show my affection by putting them all through the horrors and figuratively beating them up every now and then ❤️
