Collaborative sustainability project shoot: 

When deciding which projects to put into my graduate collection, I realised that although I really wanted to put my L5 - Trend module work, I hadn't in fact had any final images of the work I created shot. 

After consideration, I approached Charlie Birch, A 4rd year Photography student at my university and asked if he would be interested in collaborating and taking some pictures of the pieces, he said yes and we decided to work together. 

Along side the shoot, I had gotten us both the opportunity to collaboratively show our work (My pieces & Charlies photography prints) @ Hyde Park Book Clubs as part of @SWETshop Part III on March 30th - the event focuses around the approach to sustainability within the creative desciplines. 

The event was a great opportunity to network with likeminded creatives and talk about their opinions of sustainability and to witness the different approaches to the subject. 

For the event me and charlie had to produce 20 A5 postcards which communicated the concept of our work, gave the viewer our contact details and showcased a snippet of what they were about the see at the event, these were placed inside tote bags which the first 20 guests received!

Lined with vintage fabric I scored at a market.

I made a backpack out of a hessian sack, some canvas for straps, vintage fabric lining and overall buckles. Probably the coolest thing I've made to date, which was for my best friend Alene. It was her birthday on sat and she is off traveling on Thursday, so a very fitting gift indeed!
