My Brother

So i decided recently to go back to college, and in order to submit my application they require me to write a personal essay. At first i was going to write about my adoption, something that i went through but then it hit me that i do not remember much but only from what my family has told me and a lot of it is not good. So, i thought about what else i can write about and hit me i could write how i helped raise my brother since the age of 3/4 years old. I was adopted and at the age of 19 i left my parents to go and find out who my biological parents were, in doing so i met my brother Devin who at the time was 3 years old. He is my inspiration to go back to school and get my degree in Nursing. Not only am i doing this for myself but i am also doing this for him.

Today marks 29 years that my husband has been incarcerated .
