#Jesus #godisforus #Whocanbeagainstus I know what it’s like to live as a Christian in a world that seems 100% against your ideologies & your beliefs. People may mock you, taunt you, even threaten you for what you believe. Today’s verse however, reassures us that God is FOR us so why should we fear? Let me rephrase: The Master of the Universe, The One with all Power & Authority in His hands, The Almighty Warrior Who lives in our midst, is standing FOR US so anything that rises against us will have to deal with Him & God is NOT to be effed with. He has our best interests at heart & He is willing to stand against anything that comes at us sideways. Why? His Son Jesus’ sacrifice allowed for us to be reconciled to Him. Because we believe in Him, He sets us apart to set us UP for GREATER & GREATER glory. We are special, specially made & specially chosen to live a life through God that’s like no other on this earth. Yes, it stinks sometimes to be looked over or looked down upon because of Who we trust in, but it won’t matter in the end when Jesus returns. We will be standing on His right Hand at His side while every nonbeliever has to go down in the fiery lake. Remember, Jesus said that if we suffer with Him, we shall rise with Him. Be encouraged to know that God is for you, meaning He’s got your back. Reread some of this week’s devos to remind yourself of His Loving Promises. Especially Isaiah 54:17. Today I came home from Psychology class and had a long, productive conversation with my momma. We were talking about my music endeavors and when I planned on picking them back up again; I responded with "I never put it down to begin with". But, after doing some serious soul searching, I totally have. Most people don't know what has been going on, but my friends, life for me last year was awful. The issue at hand, is haven't truly forgiven myself. Whenever I went to pick up my guitar it would cause me pain because the flood gates of emotion would open and the negative talk like "you did this to yourself. You made those choices. You'll never sing again. You should crash your car into a light pole and just get it over with". These were seriously some thoughts of mine over this year. Through all this suffering, I have found ways to cope, relive this intense pain & wounds that still haven't completely scared over... I picked up guitar to write and just wept. I cried, and cried until my eyes were bloodshot and the bags under them were the size of balloons. It was so hard for me... but it was what I needed. All along I've been avoiding music because it hurts to much to do. When really it is one of the major healing properties I've clearly neglected. They're still so many missing puzzle pieces to my life right now, but through this time of discovery and self awareness- I feel I may have the answer -besides Jesus- that will help me immensely to get back to myself... or better, the new and improved Carmen, that God has so graciously has been working on little by little, day by day. Carving away and chiseling off all the unnecessary un-forgiveness I've been latching onto. In Christ, there is NO condemnation. And every time I that guilt, shame & unworthy thoughts remind me of my past, I know it comes straight from the devil. I'm trying y'all. Everyday is a process, but I'm working through it. I hope this possibly helped those who are also battling depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I love you all ❤ #keepmoving #Hesgotyourback 📸: @erikarock_

At first this lil boy was sooo scared to touch the water. His dad took his hands, held him tight and dipped his lil feet in the water. He got so excited!! He loved it. Next thing you know he's playing in the water, running from the waves, laughing and smiling. He kept going back to the water and didn't want to leave. Just watching that moment brought so much joy and freedom. Reminded me: LEARN TO TAKE RISKS. TRY NEW THINGS.
