What are your thoughts on Stepdad!price (or Johnny) who intentionally get you pregnant
Cw: STEPCEST, DARKFIC, DUB-CON/NON-CON, forced pregnancy, misogyny, forced breeding, breeding, creampie, mating press, doggy style, office sex, tell me if I missed any.
Price would act different with you than with your mother, something about him knowing what’s best for you because you’re younger and more naive than your mother. She didn’t need his guidance or help, unlike you, who was still so young and pretty, a beautiful gem that was corruptible if handled by the wrong men. So he took it into his own hands, teaching you who was in charge in this family.
He might tolerate your mother working and acting as her own being, he respected her for being the sole provider of her household for so long, caring for you and your younger brother who was still young and impressionable. You might have taken longer to accept him into your home, but your brother was in the phase of wanting - missing and needing - a father figure in his life, seeing him as the most dependable and powerful person in his world as his step-father and a Captain in the SAS. It was something your brother could brag about and feel proud, a turn of a new leaf in a life where he always told people he was fatherless.
Bot your mother and your brother took his sudden appearance so well, perhaps it was her aged exhaustion and your brother’s jovial and receptive mind, but you were still in your peak, beautiful and bright-minded. His only issue with your lifestyle was your brainwashing, mind filled with feminist and liberal thought that went against all the morals and values he grew up with. It was something he had to fix, something he didn’t want to leave alone and fester and rot your brightness.
Your mother worked so much, she flied offshore multiple times a month, leaving you to care for Ethan with the money she wired to you to look after yourselves. She worked and provided, and you watched the house and cared for Ethan’s schooling and life. You cooked, you cleaned the house, you watched your kid brother and you did everything a mother would for her child. You were left with such a big load without anyone to shoulder it with you, and that’s where he came in.
Your mother left him to his own devices, letting have free range of her home and her children, one third teen year old and another in her twenties. He cared for you when no one would, helping you ease the tent in and exhaustion off your shoulder, his hands wandering your body like he owned it, making it’s curves and grooves until he burned it into his mind.
You might fight and struggle, that pretty mouth of yours spewing delusions about not consenting to his advances, the age difference, the women’s rights and humanitarian rights that had his patience running thin. He truly hated what people put in your mind, the crazed and nonsensical ideas that went against familial values and would eventually break the family he envisioned building with you. Despite your thrashing and threats, he moved forward with his plan, splitting you apart on his girth, hips snapping and bottoming out until his tip kissed your gummy cervix.
He filled you up every moment he could, painting your walls with his thick, salty and viscous cum, listening to you mewl and cry, moaning out like a bitch until you milked him dry. He wrestled you in bed, bending you over his desk, paperwork left strewn across the room , then he’d fuck you in the living-room when Ethan was off to school, pressing you down to your knees and ploughing into you with reckless abandon, and he’d take you in your bed at night, folding you in half with your feet hanging off his shoulders and he slammed into your warm cunt. It was a perpetual cycle, a fill and refill schedule that would never tire him out and that would fuck your mind into the right space. He had to right the wrongs and that started with breeding you.
It really shouldn’t be that surprising that he knocked you up after a few months, a new life growing in your little womb that he drowned with cum.

LMAOOOO I CAN JUST IMAGINE THE READER INNOCENTLY CURSING MIGUEL OUT IN SPANISH WITH A PROUD LOOK ON THEIR FACE
(they have 0 clue what it means. either that or they got told that its a compliment)
Fr fr. Reader just sees Miguel walking and calls him all of a sudden "Puta!😄☺️ Yoohoo! Culo!🥰🥰" in front of the whole cafe because Hobie said these are terms of endearment/cute nicknames for dad, and Miguel is just like dumbfounded because u just called him, the boss man, a "bitch" and an "ass" in the cheeriest tone ever, in front of everyone!
And that's when Hobie bursts out laughing and Miguel realises he's behind all of this. Tainting his young, naive, very impressionable child.
And reader is so confused as she watches Miguel strangle Hobie like "Puta?🥺 Stop, puta!🥺🥺 puta culo stop, por favor!🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺" and Hobies is just dying laughing, honestly he's content with life now.

Shittt. if alastor values control, do you think he'll somewhat give into naive underage reader? mmmm......
Depends how underage we talking-
I feel like with an underage reader he'd prolly start out really soft and sweet (in bed specifically) and slowly show his true colors. As I said he values control so I think he'd probably like the idea of someone young and.. impressionable. A relationship with Alastor would Involve some sort of power imbalance anyway, considering how he enjoys "pulling on the strings".
I think he'd probably give into his desire with a young reader, but, being the little psycho he is he'd probably end up acting slightly fatherly towards them.
Does this answer your ask? I had to think for a little bit...
(also pls let me know if I didn't read your req correct I sometimes have a hard time reading)

As someone in their early twenties, at a relatively liberal liberal arts school, it has been horrifying to watch the amount of fliers around campus that talked about "Don't give biden your vote in the primaries, and don't give it to him in november until he's divested from death" AKA palestine. And it's like, I understand the sentiment, but also,wow...we as impressionable 20 year olds are in fact not immune to propaganda. Because the idea that somehow the whole of voting age gen-Zers have fallen for the "don't vote as a form of protest" is horrifying to witness because there are enough of us to sway the vote!
What are you talking about, you're not going to vote??? So playing into the hands of conservatives who've pushed to raise the voting age because they're afraid of us? Seriously? It is mind boggling.
I just want to sit down every single one of them, and make they watch this fantastic video (www.tiktok.com /@bellekurve/video/7345300384161860910?lang=en) because the reaction they are all having is so deeply childishly naive, and they are framing it as brave, and it is potentially going to hurt a lot of people if they follow through with it.
[Here's the linked tiktok]
It is baffling to me that people are still pushing the "not voting as a form of protest that will push the Democrats left" thing. Politicians are not going to court your vote if your demographic historically doesn't vote in large numbers, which young left-leaning people do not.
Refusing to vote is never, ever going to make politicians swing left to court your vote because they don't think you're going to show up anyway. They're going to swing even harder towards reliable voting blocs, and those lean heavily conservative. The 60+ age bracket leans heavily conservative and consistently votes at rates 20-30 points higher than the 18-29 bracket, and religiosity correlates with both higher turnout and conservatism. That's why so many politicians are courting them on both sides of the aisle.
Evangelicals got a lot of their power in this country by being a consistent, unified voting bloc that turns out for every election. I genuinely think that if young leftists voted in larger numbers they could do the same. Refusing to vote isn't a protest, it's an abdication of any power you could have had.

Do you ever think about how Molly thought Nott was only a handful of years old, and it colored how he saw her as somewhat naive and impressionable?
Do you ever think about how Nott was actually a mother with a child of her own, and how Molly had really only lived for two short years? How he feels like he’s only just experienced childhood a few years ago?
Do you think about Molly telling Nott, “And I feel that you’re fretfully ignorant and filled with platitudes, but I still like you regardless.” How he said it in response to Nott’s very sincere, parental advice that, “I think that you need to know where you’ve been to know where you’re going, and I respect your feelings…I feel like when you’re ready to know your past, I would support that, and I would help you find it.”
The way everyone expected Nott was so young, but. She’s older, wiser. She’s a mother. The reality that Molly acts so worldly and confident to try and cover just how inexperienced and new to the world he still is. Do you think, after he confessed the truth about his past—did Nott see how young and scared he truly is?
Do you think maybe that’s why Veth tried to be so understanding with Lucien at first? Why she fell into the same camp as Caleb, Yasha, and Jester—became one of the Nein who believed wholeheartedly that they could still get Molly back? That it was worth it to try and save him?
Do you think about how Nott lied and said she didn’t know her birthday? How Molly truly doesn’t, and tries to comfort her by saying, “Birthdays are shite anyway”? The things they had in common, and all the ways they vastly differ. How they didn’t have nearly enough time to actually learn each other’s stories, but still became friends in this life and another all the same—?

Grooming also doesn't have to involve sex. So even if people think his relationship with Mystra was appropriate, you still can't deny he wasn't groomed to be great. The guy caught Elminster's attention at eight years old ffs. There's no way around it.
that’s the thing. it doesn’t matter at what exact point their relationship became sexual, it doesn’t matter whether gale was of age at this point in time or not. grooming is a process, it’s pure manipulation that sets the groundwork to ensure that this person will be fully accessible (in whatever way the abuser desires, usually sexual) at a later point. children can be groomed, teenagers can be groomed and adults can be groomed as well - age is no factor in this regard. children are merely common victims due to being more impressionable. it’s essentially about creating a power imbalance that the abuser exploits for their own gratification.
the discussion about where to fit gale’s relationship with mystra in terms of her death & the overall timeline (while fun to theorize over) is redundant imo, since larian has been known to play pretty loose with the lore themselves. there are already so many inconsistencies.
so, the information we have regarding mystra’s relationship with gale are these snippets:
mystra first functioned as his mentor, then his muse, and later his lover.
gale’s relationship with her was indeed of a sexual nature, he has explicitly stated so several times.
elminster sought him out when he was but 8 years old, as stated in the epilogue letter.
during the ending where gale fails to ascend raphael states during the credits that tav has “rekindled gale’s ambitions after mystra had so cleverly put them to rest”
if you do want to consider d&d lore, it also tells us that mystra possesses a degree of foresight. (my friend @galedekarios already wrote a very thorough meta on the general subject.)
elminster’s letter pretty much confirms any suspicions we might have had earlier. after all, what reason is there for elminster, one of mystra’s chosen, to seek out gale specifically? how was he aware of gale in the first place? what personal incentive could he possibly have that isn’t tied to mystra in some way? why gale specifically when there are likely many young wizards with a potential for greatness that he could take under his wing? claiming that “it wasn’t mystra who sought him out, but elminster” feels like a rather naive and shortsighted read on the situation imo. we know that mystra was gale’s mentor and that she eventually made him her chosen. it isn’t hard to connect the dots.
summed up: we do know that mystra had her sight set on gale when he was an 8-year-old boy, possibly even earlier than that. the intention was already there and we know that their relationship underwent the transitions of teacher, muse, and then lover.
gale has been inevitably shaped by her grooming (just like any victim) to be devoted, to be compliant, to be loyal, to not question. many of his behaviors and beliefs are a direct result of said manipulation and abuse. gale himself is only starting to comprehend the possibility that he might actually be a victim once the tadpole crew comes into his life. and, like i said in my previous post, has barely scratched the surface of the damage that was done.

When Night Comes
Platonic Yandere Vampire
Previous Part | Next Part
First Chapter
19. 𝓓𝓮𝓼𝓹𝓪𝓲𝓻’𝓼 𝓠𝓾𝓲𝓬𝓴𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓷𝓰
Tumblr media
"Where is she?!" Dorian's frantic voice echoed through the estate, his worry palpable.
As servants scurried in a hurried search, their footsteps resonating in sync with the ominous silence that enveloped the estate, Dorian's desperation escalated. Each passing moment felt like an eternity, and the once serene atmosphere now crackled with tension. Meanwhile, Killian leaned lazily against a wall, a stark contrast to the frantic pacing of the distressed father. His nonchalant demeanor, seemingly unaffected by the unfolding drama. He appeared to be more an observer of chaos than a participant in the search.
In a corner of the room, the coffin manufacturer sat in a plush chair, bewildered by the sudden panic that had gripped the once serene household. His eyes darted nervously from one end of the room to the other, as if expecting answers to manifest in the luxurious surroundings. The elegance of the room juxtaposed with the disarray of emotions, creating an atmosphere that seemed almost surreal for the mortal.
"She couldn't have left without anyone noticing," Dorian reasoned, his brow furrowed with concern. The frantic search continued, but the mansion offered no clues to the disappearance of his daughter. The air was thick with uncertainty, and the urgency of the situation hung palpably in the atmosphere. The blonde, casting a penetrating gaze at Killian, turned to the other vampire with an accusatory tone. "Why don't you do anything?"
"What is there to do?" Killian retorted haughtily. "She left. Accept it."
Anger flared within Dorian. "Accept it!?" he repeated with outrage. "My daughter is out there somewhere, alone with nobody to protect her !”
As the words lingered in his mind, Dorian's panic escalated. The memory of (Y/n)'s previous escape, when she had been attacked by a sanguini, intensified his resolve. He wouldn't let this happen once again. She was mortal, completely defenseless and weak.
"Walking around aimlessly will not help," Killian answered with a sigh. "You may live."
Dorion looked at him, bewildered by the command before realizing the second part had been aimed at the coffin-maker who was still in the room. He turned his gaze toward the mortal, a bewildered look in his eyes as he processed Killian's command. The man, caught off guard, hesitated for a moment before nodding in acknowledgment. Slowly, he made his way towards the exit, leaving the room as instructed by the enigmatic vampire. He had forgotten about him, his mind having focused on the girl.
Dorian's focus, however, quickly returned to the pressing matter at hand – the whereabouts of his daughter. The gravity of the situation weighed heavily on him, and he couldn't shake the fear that gripped his heart. The thought of his daughter being out there, alone in an unforgiving world, sent shivers down his spine. The once grandiose room now seemed suffocating, its walls closing in as Dorian's mind raced with worry. He couldn't fathom what his daughter might be experiencing, and the very idea that she could be subjected to unforgivable things gnawed at him. His protective instincts kicked in, overshadowing everything else.
Some people would not think twice about taking advantage of young, impressionable minds like his weak, fragile (Y/n). She was so frail; she wouldn't survive on her own. She was utterly, completely, truly alone. The child was so naive thinking that any mortal would simply take her in hearing her plight, but they wouldn't.
He felt Killian's hand on his shoulder. "Sit," he advised him while leading him to an armrest. "Your power is affecting the room; calm down."
He looked around, noticing the ice covering the place where he had been standing just moments before. "She's out there," he protested, clenching his fists, "I just can't..."
"You must stay calm," his partner said with conviction, "servants are already looking for her."
Dorian's eyes flickered with a mixture of frustration and fear. Despite the efforts of the servants scouring the estate, the absence of tangible information only fueled his worry. Useless. They were all utterly useless. It was preposterous. She had left once, and now once again they managed to let her slip through them. They would pay. He would deal with them after after finding his child. He could feel the seconds ticking away, each one adding to the uncertainty surrounding his daughter's disappearance.
He shook his head and stood once again, resuming his pacing, "There are three paths she could have taken," he mused out loud." The first is the one she took during her first escapade which I doubt she would take again. She can be quite clever. The second is one more remote that leads to a nunnery, but I doubt she even knows of the existence of this path. She would have had to walk through the nearby forest for at least an out by foot to even notice it. She doesn't leave home. She knows she isn't allowed to... and yet here we are. The third one however... while long, leads to a village and if this foolish daughter of mine—"
"The carpet; you're freezing the carpet," Killian admonished while pinching the bridge of his nose. "(Y/n) is a resourceful young girl, Dorian."
He tried laughing, but it sounded wet and slightly hysterical. "Don't be ridiculous. She can't survive on her own! She's so—fragile, and helpless and she could break at any second and— and she's out there!" He gestured out the window. He collapsed on the couch, shaking his head. "And if something happens to her... if something happens to my poor child..."
Each day, she mattered so much more to him. More than she had when he had first met her on that clearing. She had made him care for her. He cared so much for her. He couldn’t just let her go. He wouldn’t forgive himself.
If something happened to (Y/n), Dorian knew it would completely shatter him.
Dorian looked up, his eyes teary and filled with a mix of frustration, fear, and desperation. Killian, sensing the need for comfort, passed an arm around Dorian's shoulders. The touch, though subtle, carried a warmth that overcame their cold exterior. The blond vampire reacted by resting his head on his lover's shoulder, finding solace in the physical closeness. Killian's presence, like an anchor in the storm of emotions, had a way of grounding Dorian back to the present when he felt himself spiraling into the abyss of worry and uncertainty.
"Dorian," Killian whispered, "calm down, just for a second. Breathe."
He nodded, chuckling slightly at the suggestion. He didn't need to breathe. "Such a human thing to do," he commented, feeling himself calm down slightly, slowly but surely.
Killian nodded, agreeing, "You know me." He sighed softly. "Why don't we focus on something else while the servants search?"
"Like what ?' He questioned reluctantly.
"Forget the girl for now, Dorian," he suggested calmly. The words were said with a soft, yet confident voice. "I'm sure she is fine."
The bland looked up in anger at the remark. His anger grew once his icy blue eyes met Dorian's bright red ones. A cold feeling washed over him, realizing the other had tried to use a moment of emotional vulnerability against him. Leaning forward and clenching his fists, he demanded, "What did you try to do?"
Killian looked away, giving him no answer. The blond gripped his lover's arm, his nails digging in his skin. The other only flinched slightly, almost imperceptibly, "What did you try to do?" He winced, but Dorian did not care. Fury roared through his mind.
He knew his partner's power very well. Knew that he hardly used it, but knew nonetheless the signs of it. "Did you try to make me forget about her?"
His silence was enough of an answer on its own. He felt betrayed and furious at the mere idea that Killian of all people would dare to use his mind control powers on him. He was about to explode with rage, unable to understand why he would try to use them for this. Dorian had seen Killian and (Y/n) interact together, he had witnessed the bond they shared grow. He couldn't understand why the man would simply decide to let it go. One shouldn't let go of the people they cared about so easily.
Wheels turned inside his head, and realization dawned upon him. He stood up and Killian followed suit. "It is you," he accused, pointing a finger. "You let her leave.”
While Killian neither confirmed nor denied it verbally, Dorian already knew the answer. In a surge of fury, he lunged at Killian, gripping the other's shirt threateningly as his mind spun. "Killian, you—"
"Sir," a servant entered the room, breaking the tension. "It appears she has left on horseback; one is missing."
Flashes of worst-case scenarios flooded Dorian's mind. (Y/n) could have had an accident, been attacked. The horse might have rebelled. (Y/n) didn’t know how to ride a horse; he had never taught her for that reason. So that she wouldn’t attempt anything stupid. She could be dead by now. Dead, alone, and rotting in the wilderness.
He clutched Killian's shirt with a vice-like grip, feeling wetness in his eyes and his throat tightening. "You can't—" he glowered. "You can't do this to me, Killian."
The other offered no response. His eyes were cold and held no regret. He might have left the poor child to die and he did not care. Dorian’s weak pleas were met with indifference. This was his child, his daughter. He couldn't let her be taken away from him. How dare he do this ? How could he ? "Tell me!" Dorian pleaded desperately. "Tell me where you told her to go !"
No answer.
No reaction.
Dorian's face fell, and he began to tremble. "You can't do this to me, Killian," he whispered weakly. "You can't..."

Yves peeling oranges for us? ORANGE PEEL THEORY YVES!
You wouldn't even need to ask for an orange from Yves. He is quite fussy about your nutrition, ensuring you get two servings of fruit daily. Of which usually includes an orange, as they're chock full of vitamin C and antioxidants. It's always served beautifully as if it was from a fruit platter fit for royalty.
However, if you decide to test him on this, he will respond in two ways.
He would wordlessly retrieve an orange from the fridge, and thoroughly peel it for you, removing all the stringy pith. It would almost look synthetic- he's only allowing the juicy, refreshing pulp to reach your tongue. All fruits must be served in your usual fruit bowl and fork if you're eating at home. Elsewhere, his hands would act as the plate; he would prefer to hand you the orange pieces like a fruit dispenser. Even better, he would hand-feed you.
Or, he could outright refuse to give you an Orange if he knows you're either:
Allergic to it
Intolerant towards it (Causing bloating, cramping, and diarrhea)
About to overdose on oranges
About to overdose on oranges AND have diabetes
If you have gastroesophageal reflux disease
Taking a medication that will have undesirable side effects when eating an orange
Being drugged by Yves, and an orange can interfere with its efficacy or lead to your death.
Making this a sexual thing and causing Yves to be uncomfortable
Asking for an orange as a part of your plan to maliciously hurt Yves or yourself
He would absolutely offer you an alternative option which will be prepared as meticulously as always.
It isn't that Yves didn't know the existence of this trend, he sees what you see after all. Of course, he does note how to "pass" this test, but it comes so naturally to him that he would scoff about how the participants of this trend are not meeting his caregiver standards. They barely removed the pith for their lovers, not providing an appropriate vessel for them to eat out of and most likely serving that orange warm.
No, he doesn't feel betrayed or upset that you didn't "trust" him. It's a silly little trend, and he made sure you knew Yves is the only person that you can trust to take care of you no matter what. He knew damn well you're doing this just to fit in with the rest of your peers, Yves was young once, easily impressionable and naive too. It isn't causing any harm, so why not let you have your fun?
Overall, he loves doing things for you. Provided that you're polite about it and not an asshole to him or the world around you.

Going thru the ER fandom after the DLC really is fun. It's the first rodeo with a souls game for a large portion of the fandom it seems... It's mostly people raging about the difficulty of the last boss, or Radahn fanboys freaking out abt their man. It feels like the fact Elden Ring exposes its lore very openly in comparison with other titles, pushes some people to take it very literally too. Those people often forget that the lore is in service to a broader narrative, and lose themselves in tiny details at the expense of the feeling the story is supposed to evoke. imo that's always how Soulsborne were supposed to be read, but the lore was so nebulous in comparison that it's what people would naturally default to. That said, I really enjoy watching deep dive videos about the lore, bc those games are so well crafted. It's just really satisfying! Anyways, here are my (unorganized) thoughts on the ending:
So far, we really don't know if Radahn did consent. That's the point: the text emphasizes what Miquella wanted, but never questions what others around him truly desired. If anything, people asking the question themselves had the intended effect. That's pretty great, me thinks! Funnily enough, Miquella/Radahn are kind of a subversion of the Power of Love character/Shonen protag tropes, except you are on the receiving end of it.
On the other hand, my interpretation is that the promise was made by a very young and impressionable Miquella, a very long time ago. Like a promise a tiny child would make, innocently. It's tragic that in his and Malenia's horrible situation, it probably meant so much him. At the same time, I would imagine an older Radahn would pay it no mind at all. My interpretation of Radahn is of a simple and honest guy; kind but ultimately unconcerned with these issues. It feels like he'd be the most down to earth and straightforward of all the demigods in that regard. The vow was probably lost to time, in an age and a context that was vastly different from after the Night of the Black Knives and the Shattering. How sad is it that it probably meant so much more to Miquella than anybody could've imagined. It's heartbreaking, that after centuries, this is all Miquella could hold onto, as well as the tiniest hope he could make the world a gentler place. He sacrificed everything for it and yet still... it was all so very naive.
And even then, what did Miquella truly bring back? After so long, after loosing his wits, eating corpses and fighting off the rot for an eternity, what was there left of Radahn to restore? An idealized and distant memory perhaps? Even if he tried to create an alternative to his mother's order, Miquella still made the same mistakes. And so he resurrected a person that spent his life trying to emulate Marika's Lords and champions.
A part of me would like to think that Radahn's heroics were more genuine than Godfrey's or Radagon's ever were. That despite having these two as role models, he took better decisions and was a more accepting person ( also he had a pet cat and Leonard come on!) Yet, Radahn still represents an outdated ideal of what a Lord should be, especially for Miquella's intended "Age of Compassion". He is a character whose development was left during the Shattering, untouched forever. Would this have been another cycle of the same thing? Would Miquella have made the same mistakes as his Mother again, and would he also have reached the same breaking point? Could the same cause have the same effects? In learning about Miquella, we learn a lot about Marika; the inverse is true too. The Shaman Village revelation is two-fold. We learn of her kindness without Order: the genuine sadness she had for her people, and her true honest motivation. Kindness was intially the reason behind her action, just like Miquella. We know from St. Trina that just like him, her godhood ended up being a prison. Her kindness "with Order" is conditionnal and institutionalized. We know of the unconditionnal love all of her children yearned for, the afflictions they suffered because of her actions, and the strong reactions they had towards all of it. We see her struggle, between the love she wants to give her children and the order she is supposed to uphold. When this paradox becomes too much for her to bear and her kids are either killed, cursed or rebelling, she breaks. The vessel she molded herself into is then exploited, until grounded to dust, until Ranni lets her go or Chaos swallows everything. By contrast, when it is revealed Rennala was exploited and betrayed, she is solely reduced to her motherly role; earning her the scorn of her people. She rebirths children anew, in a process that ultimately became sterile. Mother Metyr, herself a daughter of the Greater Will, is abandonned and broken, forever waiting for a sign from her maker. Finally, Count Ymir, who is quick to place the blame on Marika, truly fails to understand the heart of a mother.
Miquella's ending in the dlc is also a perfect parallel to Ranni's ending. While Miquella promises you an age where you won't have a choice but to be loved and saved, Ranni gives you an age of loneliness and uncertainty, wherein she'll grant you the free will to save yourself. Miquella's action started selflessly, as he was intent on helping others above all else; while Ranni started her quest because she selfishly didn't want the Greater Will dictating her fate. If you put your love and compassion in the hands of a God that won't give you a choice in the matter, is it truly love anymore? Is it the unconditional love that you dreamed of anymore? Isn't it an issue if you rely on an external figure for these matter (ie a godly mother figure)?
All those years ago, I started playing Dark Souls because I watched an essay about it. It ended with something like: "You despair when you realize everything is pointless, and you become wiser when you realize you can find your own meaning. Dark Souls is a game that makes you happier, because it makes you just a little bit wiser." Maybe this game is about finding acceptance. Although this may start as a lonely road, you still have the power within you to love yourself and others, regardless of the love you were given. It's difficult and it takes a lot of courage, but you already beat this game so why not? But also, they made jar people so you would feel bad about breaking clay pots in their games. You can throw dung at gods and dragons, and Radahn is a shounen protagonist... so who knows lol

I definitely think there are more AA enjoyers out there (including some Spawn fans who claim otherwise, remember how many of them were salivating over AA's sex scene in the beginning but now they're all saying they actually hate it because he's dissociating in it) but the thing is AA fans have become the fandom's punching bag which makes it really difficult for a lot of people to publicly come out as liking this route without potentially being called delusional, told that you may end up being abused irl and other crap like this because how can you not see his toxic and abusive behavior. It also doesn't help that even one of the writers who worked on his character claimed that players who chose this route only saw him as a sex object lmao
I know there are spawn fans who like AA because every time I see AA romance scene posts in places like OnlyFangs and the Astarion facebook groups I'm in, I ALWAYS see comments like "I can't ascend him but this is so hot!!" or "thank you for posting this! I'd never do this to pookie, but I have to admit this is got me🥵🥵🥵" or panty dropping gifs and things like that. So they can thirst after AA (but we are the only ones sexualizing him, remember!), yet simultaneously talk about how much they hate that version of him. It really makes no sense. Just enjoy all of Astarion! No guilt, excuses, disclaimers, or abuse required!
It's really unfortunate. I understand why some AA fans keep quiet in the fandom. There are a few people in one of the AA discords I'm in, who are only active in that discord and nowhere else in the fandom because theyre just tired/afraid of the negativity. That's ridiculous to me! The fact that people literally can't even comfortably just exist in the fandom without the fear of being bullied for NOTHING.
I have been told I'm "romanticizing abuse" directly and indirectly more times than I can count and it doesn't get better with frequency. And when you factor in that many AA fans ourselves have had experiences with abuse and trauma, it's just such a poor taste statement that literally has 0 ground. I mean, if any romanticizing of abuse were happening, wouldn't it be Larian doing it anyway? Aren't they the ones allowing the romance to continue after ascension with positive dialog choices, and sharing the AA kisses on Valentine's Day posts? Why not come after them instead of fans? If the relationship between AA and his Consort was "written to be abusive" then shouldn't Larian write that so clearly that literally no one can argue about it and there is no doubt in anyone's mind? So why then, is that not shown in the game? And why come after the people interpreting the story differently instead of the company for not making the story's message so airtight, it can't be argued?
Hint: because it's not written to canonly be an abusive relationship, that wasn't Larian's intention and nor should it be. The intention was to create an evil romance route and that's exactly what it is. Anything outside of that is up to YOU.
I think that's where the superiority complex steps in though. That whole "you AA fans just aren't media literate and clever enough to understand the deep, meta meaning of this cautionary abuse tale!" thing.
It also feels like an underlying misogyny thing too. A majority of Astarion fans in general are women and AFAB people. I see spawn fans always calling us "AA girlies" and I never see the reverse. And when it comes to AA fans, it feels a lot like a "let's save/educate the poor naive girls from themselves and their foolishness." When many AA fans aren't even female and certainly aren't naive or young impressionable people looking to have a real life AA.
As for the Co-Writer Who Will Not Be Named... that whole situation is a perfect example of someone abusing their position/influence. They knew players would take their word as law, without actually thinking about it in the context of it being a rolepaying game. So their opinion and agenda is taken as a canon fact when they only did minimal writing AND they can't speak for anyone else's Tav/Durge but their own.
Saying "When Tav ascends Astarion, it means they only see him as a sexual object." is just like saying "Tav keeps Astarion a spawn because they want control over him." Can you roleplay both of those things? ABSOLUTELY. But for most Spawn fans, I'm sure that is NOT why your Tav did it, especially if they're romancing him.
What Welch said is exactly the same type of statement. Their position and professional contribution to the game holds no water in context of their statement being universally applied to all Tavs and Durges that ascend Astarion. It may be how they see it, it may be the impression they tried to get the dialog to convey, but it's all up to each individual player how it's interpreted.

the one thing that gege has served us well with is knowing that they’re very aware of how old these kids are
their actions and thoughts can be mature, sure, given their circumstances, but they’re still kids. in every other way.
yuuji is naively optimistic about his delicate situation. never fully understanding what exactly he was up against. he had no perspective or even a clue to what dying by his rash decision (to eat sukuna’s finger) meant in the slightest, because he’s just a kid.
he took it in stride and that’s what kids do — “okay, what now?”
asking questions, overly excited about menial things, overprotective, rash towards anything that threatens his friends, pouty, a need to find his purpose, feeling responsible for everything… the list goes on and on, but these things all describe yuuji in the sense that they also describe a teen.
gege is so deliberate with rehashing this point so thoroughly, without fail, and without making it overly obvious.
take how they made yuuji react to his first near-death experience with the cursed womb in season one, for example. beforehand, he was confidently and calmly assuring gojo he was prepared to die when his time came. and he was.
he thought he was.
but as soon as he at death’s door, ready to step inside, he started to chicken out. yuuji felt scared, because he was too young to realize he wasn’t ready to accept his own mortality. and, like a kid, he rejected it as soon as he was forced to come to terms with it.
sukuna was there to inadvertently “help” yuuji keep on going with his running up to death’s doorstep, ding-dong-ditching it, and getting away with it each time. yuuji was learning to be scared of death — of both himself and others near and dear to him — and sukuna was accidentally lending him his hand by using his reversed curse technique.
what’s more, is nanami’s own hand in it all. he’s the first one to directly point out; “you’re just a child. let an adult handle this.”
it wasn’t meant to be mean nor cruel, but rather just a factual statement — yuuji is a child, and shouldn’t be treated as anything more. nanami took preserving yuuji’s young, impressionable mind to heart. by god, did he follow through, too.
gojo also played his part, as well. his spiel was protecting one’s youth: “no one’s youth should ever be stripped from them.”
whether from nanami or gojo, gege uses their motives of protecting yuuji to showcase and remind their audience of just how young our main character is; of how spoiling someone’s innocence can just about be the worst crime someone can commit.

Swansuke and Jimsuke (or whatever it's called my bad) are hmm~ in a positive way for me. I've read some great fics on the first ship but for the second one... alas the content I would enjoy with them is sparse. Like, any relationship with Jim would be toxic it's just people either make Jimmy cartoonishly evil or Daisuke as stupid as a rock.
Actually yk I'll ramble here about Jimsuke. I would love to see their dynamic being like this: Daisuke would try to befriend Jim because he finds his standoffish and crude demeanor "kinda cool". Jimmy would be annoyed, maybe try to fend off this pesky intern until some situation happens and Daisuke shows same admiration he shows to Swansea towards Jim and it flips the switch in Jimmy's mind. The guy loves receiving control and validation, and Daisuke provides. On the other side Daisuke will absorb all the praise from Jimmy too and think it's awesome that he got to befriend him. Jimmy will quickly grow irritated when Daisuke mentions either Swansea or Curly and will isolate Daisuke from the both.
And since Daisuke is YOUNG, IMPRESSIONABLE and NAIVE (those traits don't equal to him being a child, man. He acts like a teen from the 80-00, the devs took inspiration from the older films), together with admiring Jimmy he would listen to him, to the point where Jimmy would coerce Daisuke for some sexy stuff.
I imagine it would be the same how Swansea taught Daisuke to "drink like a man" kind of situation. Of course with "no homo" from both sides, Daisuke would be nervous and blurt out some stupid comments or will try to "set the [romantic] mood" and Jim would be confused like "Wtf are you doing...?". Also Daisuke's hand and mouth game would be horrendous, it's cannon trust 🤞🤞

Kinda thinking about famous!reader and her feeling like she’s just too much/that she should just be alone so no one has to deal with the constant harassment from paparazzi/fans/etc and lowkey having a mental breakdown over it. I cannot fucking imagine being famous, I don’t think I could deal with it
Okay, it’s incredible you say this, because she has this exact dilemma in the universe where they meet during Newsies times. Her team basically tells her that he won’t want to be with her, that she will be too much for him, and so she distances herself from him. She’s young in this time, and she’s naive, and very impressionable. She trusts her team, because they are the adults, and they are there to protect her. So, when they tell her that she’ll ruin the life of this guy she just met, she believes it.
It takes her a lot of therapy to unlearn all of this, but I think she still feels it lingering. She feels this imminent fear whenever paps are around them, or a herd of fans wait for her outside of her hotel, or restaurant. Maybe one day he’ll just have had too much and want out? Maybe one day she will be too much for him? I talked about this briefly in an ask, but when a scandal drops involving her, and paps wait outside her apartment for like a week straight, she stays at Mike’s apartment for the time being, and she has a panic attack in his bathroom because it all comes falling down on her. This will be it. This will be his moment of, “Oh, this is too much… I don’t like it.” He’s mentioned to her he doesn’t want the fame she has, so why would he want to be with someone at that status?
That panic attack isn’t her breaking point, but it’s a small wakeup call for her.

I am making grabby hands and begging for more of your lovely Benny HC’s pleeeeease
Okie Dokie!!! Kinda long so under the cut it is
Benny is baby-faced and mid-20s. I like the idea he was so roped into House's offer because he was and still is kinda young and impressionable. His lobes aren't fully cooked yet and it shows.
Short and just now getting stout. Being a wastelander means you stay kinda lean and now he takes a lot of opportunities to fill out and look bigger.
Weirdly naive. He can spot a lie/lair from a mile away but if you somehow can charm your way past that intuition he's all too trusting with you on personal matters. All boot riders are like this actually as they rarely are wary of someone considered their own.
Moves like a lizard, very still one moment and then fast/jittery the next. He's not very predictable outside of being a backstabber.
A hand talker who can't keep still or quiet for long. Gets bored easily which is why he never was the casino desk man.
Was just called Gecko before but mainly for his eyes and not the aforementioned behavior. Very cold and sharp like a Mojave golden Gecko but also pretty.
All his smiles are practiced. There's a certain menace his natural smile has, too many teeth, too big, too wild, too mocking. Kinda like a dog barring his teeth and combined with his eyes it's rather intimidating. All the fake smiles are coy and rather closed lip.
Doesn't like using guns but it gives him an edge. Likes to get in close and feel like he's earned the kill during a fight but he's got an image now...
Not religious and doesn't get organized religion. Part of House's doing as House of course would explain it as something superfluous but Benny's own opinions are more "If a god was real why would he make life suck this much ass"
Maria means nothing to him but is part of his image. Following the point below, what he got from House is like a uniform for him, even if he doesn't want to go back to it, it is physically comforting.
Got to choose his name from a list House gave him. Chairmen had the most things altered about them. Treats his name like a title more than anything, interestingly enough.
If he ever defected he would join the followers. They share a lot of viewpoints and he'd act as a spokesman vs anything else. He is a likable guy, just not a guy you can get close to while keeping a "likable" opinion of him.
Doesn't sleep that much. Not much to do with the plans he has but he is a wastelander at heart. The city while secure isn't what he's fully used to still and the lights/sounds keep him up
Emotionally repressed and doesn't know it. Has a hard time actually connecting with most people cause he struggles with determining if a relationship is serious. People are friends or FWB and little else cause it's never been important to his or the Chairmens' prosperity.
Follows Boot-Rider customs discreetly and says Chairmen shit for show. A lot of the family would tell you a big reason Boot-Rider traditions aren't gone is that he won't let them die even if they gotta be silent about them.
He's eerily people smart. Intelligence is subjective here as he's not book smart but he gets people he knows what they want to hear even if he doesn't genuinely believe it. The comic knows he pays attention to what makes people vulnerable and he's like idk FNV Heather Chandler. Not introspective at all though.
My last point for now is: Violent. Maybe a better word is intense but he lacks inhibition and temperament control in a lot of aspects. If he's forced a direction he kinda just runs wild even if he was taking it slow before. He has hard opinions and makes plans with a sense of finality to them and doesn't act until that's achievable. Like I'm sorry but he gets mean at you and whatever he say to Yes-Man about the khans must be crazy with how YM talks about them. He is so willing to get his hands dirty, I can imagine he misses being able to get messy.
This is not organized at all but these are major ways I see Benny. He's like borderline an oxymoron who avoids it by small margins. Everything about him can be explained even though we don't get a lot of personal info about him, we know his habits. He's a guy who has such a detailed facade you can't tell what his actual face is most of the time and when he does show it, it's only in very specific and wild scenarios it can be hard to say it's how he'd really be. I'll just say the opening of the comic with him fluctuating from motionlessly looking at Vegas, to calmly talking to Swank, to rage and settling on something almost like commercial charm when talking about murdering what is basically a family member is just so indicative of what Benny is and how I tend to characterize him in my head.

in light of yoint! here's an almost-yukiel/danyuki drabble i started last year that i didn't finish :'] i have Thoughts on dr now since writing this but i thought i'd share most of this yuki POV anyway <3
Yuki doesn’t mean to be such a catch. By this, he means that he doesn’t mean to allure his colleagues. Him coming into Formula 1 at twenty, bright-eyed and loudmouthed and sassy, is not uncommon. What is common is that his teammates have all been well, old and attracted to that sort of thing.
Him and Pierre shared the smallest age gap of four years and yet, he still treated him like he was a child, pinching and poking him like he was ecstatic to have someone to coddle over for the first time. It was endearing, framed most of their dynamic, but didn’t make sense might given his girlfriend was even younger than Yuki, but he digresses.
Nyck was five years older than him, which didn’t change their relationship that much more than what a lack of shared interests and lifestyle already did with him and Pierre. Nyck definitely didn’t baby him as much as Pierre did but they never had the time to properly learn each other properly before he was sacked.
In comes Daniel Ricciardo, who precedes Yuki by more than a decade. When Daniel was just about to hit high school, Yuki was learning how to walk, which is more shocking for the Australian to learn than it is Yuki. He will be working with the elderly more often than Daniel will be working with young adults in the span of their careers. And with how the sport is proceeding, him, Oscar, and Logan might be the last of the generation.
Again, he digresses.
Daniel is funny. Nice smile with big teeth and a laugh that you can hear even when he’s left the room. It’s nice to be surrounded by that kind of positivity and energy. They’re only two races in but he’s a welcome addition to the team. For one, there isn’t a perpetual dark cloud around his motorhome after free practices or qualifying or races just yet, but the debriefs are valuable and productive with him around, given his intimate knowledge of not only the sport but compounded by how much the team trusts him. Less could be said for Nyck, who’d lost rapport around about Azerbaijan and even then, it was already dwindling. He makes Yuki laugh and though he’s much less impressionable than he was when he first started, he still likes Daniel.
But Daniel definitely likes him more.
Maybe it’s the change of scenery. Getting back into a car after six months, not having a teammate who will out-qualify him consistently, or just having at team who loves you a lot, who you spent some of your most formative years at. Anywho, he’s happy to see Yuki in the morning, espresso cup in hand as he fist bumps him and asks him how he slept. The newness yet familiarity of it all gives Daniel a natural shot of happiness in the morning and makes him nudge at Yuki when they’re sitting on a golf buggy next to each other, asking him if he knows any good restaurants in Faenza he can recommend.
Or maybe it’s just Yuki’s overflowing charm. He isn’t as comfortable with Daniel as he was with Pierre, could hardly be when that friendship was something they forged over time, and his seat is at constant threat of being pulled out from under him. He knows how quickly they can and will do it, knows how quickly his seat would be filled up again by some wide-eyed, naive junior or a washed-up F1 driver whom Alpha Tauri would put cautious faith into.
But Daniel is nothing but persistent. Not only in his career but in wheedling Yuki to give him his time of day. He’s got experience with that sort of thing, successfully wrestling Lando into doe-eyed submission by the end of his tenure at McLaren. But Yuki is not so easy to get to.
If he spends five years at Alpha Tauri like Pierre did, cycling through teammates like Pierre did, he’d be hard pressed to let Daniel in when all he will do is leave and take that Red Bull seat with him.
“Yuki!” he bellows when Yuki walks into hospitality. He’s got a cup of coffee in his hand and his drink bottle in the other, Pyry hanging around him with his backpack on. Blake, Daniel’s manager, gives him a fist bump as well. Michael is somewhere around here, avoiding Daniel, which is pretty common nowadays. They’re not actively beefing but Yuki knows Michael would much rather walk all the way to Ferrari to say hi to Josh than give Daniel more than a ‘how’re you going mate?’.
“Buongiorno,” Yuki says, picking up a piece of fruit and a protein bar. Daniel smiles and trails after him as he sits down on his table. Michael is in the room, is what Yuki learns when he gets a text from his trainer reading, ‘In your driver’s room YT’ before Yuki even needs to message him with a ‘wya m8’.
“How did you sleep?”
“Good. No time difference, plus after sim work on Tuesday and working out with Michael on Wednesday, I am so exhausted,” Yuki replies through a mouthful of the protein bar, covering his mouth and Daniel nods in understanding.
“Yeah me too. The sim felt hopeful with the new front wing but won’t know until tomorrow. How did—what did you work on with Michael?”
Yuki lifts an eyebrow.
“Just normal things, you know the neck and the gym. More stretching since I have been feeling tightness since last week. But you know, the usual.” Daniel nods again thoughtfully and Yuki wonders what he’s getting at.
“Right, right… what about summer break? Do you have any plans or… y’know something small or just like—”
“What is this? A press conference?” Yuki quips and Daniel shrugs, looking imperceptibly at Yuki.
“I’m just curious! Sue me for making conversation with my teammate,” he exclaims, blinking those huge brown eyes at him and Yuki surveys him suspiciously.
“Well, I am going back to Japan to see my friends and family. But I will be in Italy or Europe for the last week, going to the beach and things like that.”
“Cool, cool. Maybe I’ll catch you around in the last week. I’ll be in Monaco, then Faenza to catch up on some sim work.”
“Okay,” he replies nonchalantly. If he wanted to ask Yuki out, he could afford to be more forward about it. Maybe he’ll be spending time with Lando and Max, doing whatever it is drivers who live in Monaco do. Yuki would rather eat his way through Europe and spend time with his friends from home but to each their own.
He wants to make plans with Alex or Pierre just to see if it’ll make Daniel jealous but suppresses the urge and finishes his protein bar.
“See you later for media, eh?” Yuki puts a hand out as he stands up and Daniel claps and holds it with a firm grip.
“See ya later Yukes.”
That’s a new one. He cracks a smile at his teammate before walking off to his room, where Michael has already started up Yuki’s training playlist.
Here’s to beating his teammate before summer break.
And so he does. Makes it to Q2 and qualifies P11 while Daniel hangs out the back in P19. It’s unfortunate but not so much that Yuki is sad for him. He will get all the encouragement he needs from the team before he’ll want it from Yuki. Imagine that, Yuki, eleven years his junior with three years in the sport, giving Daniel a pat on the back and a ‘you’ll get ‘em next time’.
Daniel’s nice but not that kind. He’s got another ten to prove himself so Yuki is not worried about morale. What does get him nervous is that Daniel approaches him on Saturday night.
“Good session Yuki!”
“Thanks man,” Yuki daps him up and Daniel squeezes him tight. He’s taller than Pierre and his head fits right in his shoulder. The sweat, grime and rain squelches uncomfortably but he appreciates the warmth and praise.
Yuki’s whisked away by Michael and Jana before they can keep up the conversation but he’d rather do post-qualifying interviews than talk to Daniel about track limits.
He guesses this is how it goes, this weird dance where bringing Alpha Tauri out of the bottom rank is their only shared goal. He will be civil and he will be open to whatever marketing makes them do, even if it’s Daniel caressing him on the arm apropos of nothing.
Maybe he can get a free meal out of Daniel some time soon, or a piece of Enchante merch for free. It’s way nicer than Pierre’s and Yuki would gladly swerve on the insane prices. He’s not sure he’d be able to break even if he sold his merch for the same.
It’s not a great quali session by any means, but it’s the best he’s had in a while and he takes it in stride for the sprint shoot-out, then the sprint, in which both don’t go his way at all, but it’s his turn to congratulate Daniel. It’s the little things, and he doesn’t miss the spark in his teammate’s eyes this time around despite the disappointing position overall. This is a dance and they take turns stepping on each others’ toes.
