honestly? i was largely ok bc i think both teams played rly well and like. whilst i’m a wales girl to my very bones (mum asked me why and all i’ve got for her are ‘underdogs of the four semi finalists’ and ‘that video of george north being horrified abt that kiwi kid named england’ and ‘that one film abt the real life story of a welsh punk band showing the music industry’s ass for being ageist’ which she wasn’t super impressed with for why i’m supporting wales in the bronze final (i’m not hopeful but my heart is there)), i was always going to support whoever won this over england in the finals fdsjkhsdhjka. but seeing the interviews at the end... like RIGHT AFTER the match ended, basically, they interviewed alun wyn jones, and ig i was emotionally exhausted from the match by the time the buzzer rang and was just resigned, but then i saw his face and how he had to take a moment before answering everything and... [film review vc] reader, i wept. but tender feelings for the welsh team aside, i’m not mad that the boks won (big difference from eng vs nz.... idc that nz lost im just furious that england won) bc they played hard and while i’m disappointed that the last 90 seconds were lost to scrums, that’s... rugby, & i can’t blame the lads for being strategic (also wales did the same thing to aus—-not in the last 90 seconds, so less of a sting there, but they still did it, so)

FDHJJKAS THAT’S SO DRAMATIC but like,,,, god i know i haven’t texted my friend all weekend bc i know he’ll be nursing his ~Emotions~ abt the all blacks losing and it would be insensitive, probably, of me to laugh, which i know myself well enough to know is exactly what i’d do if met with that sort of all blacks absolutism. we’re so embarrassing i hope we come fourth
