#speak friend and enter#DON'T PUT ELECTRICAL TAPE ON AN OPEN WOUND WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU#nothing you have in your home (unless you are or live with a medical professional) is clean enough to treat a wound that deep!#yes it's expensive and kind of a general hassle but if you're at risk for some kind of infection GO TO A DOCTOR#my dad had a cut that he thought he could treat at home and developed an infection he had to be hospitalized for so please don't do that#hes fine now btw. they kept him overnight and gave him a bunch of antibiotics to take for the next few weeks but still!#i know 3 inches long x 0.5 inches deep doesn't sound that big but on your arm that's into the dermis at LEAST and is likely subcutaneous#so the likelihood of a blood vessel NOT being exposed by a wound that deep is slim to none. and i don't need to tell you that that's bad#and if you have the opportunity to be treated for that it could be the difference between mrsa and not mrsa#or worse! sepsis is real and more common than you think!#anyway this has been jaime's healthcare professional's child rant
