i was convinced that toby was gonna kill pete so carving PREDATOR into his arm is so much better. it’s insane. i assumed he just roughed him up a bit and then the continuity announcer said something after the ad break that made me go oh no toby’s written NONCE on his back or something

i think, also, the covid regulations help here because it’s so much more terrifying when there is no shot of toby physically standing over pete with like a knife or broken glass or whatever. i think the distance still sucks in scenes like luke and ollie where distance should mean something but it really worked for me with this

cleo and toby are probs one of the more interesting couples in the show rn, i was gonna specify hetero tbh but lbr the gays are not doing good. the two m/m pairings are horrific - one deliberately, one because the writers have no taste - and peri/juliet is just fine i guess
