Arrived in South Atoll Island Maldives on Aug 15th 2020, went on a brief walkabout and came across a few hermit crabs.

First, I haven’t come across any crabby crabs if you know what I mean as they seem to be happy campers n although they are called hermits, believe the ones I came across were extroverts.

I know, a lil silly but hey :)

Hi! So someone abandoned two hermit crabs at my girlfriend's work and seeing the sad state they were in (in this plastic fish bag inside the tiniest container), we decided to take them home. We've got reptiles, so we figured we could do some research

And give these babies a good home. I think we're doing okay. We have them a lot of substrate and salt water and fresh water. We feed them a variety of vegetables and fruit and shrimp (tbh the crabs eat better than me at times) and they like to 

Explore the tank and sometimes we take them out and let them crawl around. They're actually pretty chill. They come out of their shells to greet us and they never pinch. Is there anything we can improve on? And like.. Is there any way to sex a crab?

So, I'm usually not so keen on posting tank pictures because people criticize, but I worked really hard on this tank and invested a lot of money in it. So here it is. This is the 20 gallon long that my new arrival is currently destroying. It has a second floor moss pit, a huge hide and another one coming in, two ponds with pumps attached one fresh and one salt, a little dish with some chia planted in it, some shrimp and some dried veggies.((Gotta go buy some fresh tomorrow, didn't have any on hand tonight because mine went bad since both of my others were molting)) and a bunch of other stuff. Adjustments are still being made, but I'm happy with it so far.
