ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴏᴏɴʟɪɢʜᴛ ɪʟʟᴜᴍɪɴᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴏᴏᴍ ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡɪɴᴅᴏᴡ as he sat on the edge of his bed. sky pulled his shirt over his head before returning his attention to the stars in the sky. sleep was nonexistent at this point, every time he closed his eyes he was back in the building - ʙᴀᴄᴋ ᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ɴɪɢʜᴛ ʜᴇ ᴋɪʟʟᴇᴅ ʜɪs ғᴀᴛʜᴇʀ. restless nights spent staring at the moon and stars while internally begging to disappear - even just for a M O M E N T.

he was brought back to reality at the shifting of the mattress beneath him - ɢᴏᴏsᴇʙᴜᴍᴘs ғᴏʀᴍᴇᴅ ᴀʟᴏɴɢ ʜɪs sᴋɪɴ as her lips made contact with his shoulder, it was 𝕘𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕖, nearly 𝕕𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕖. ❛ i thought you were asleep. ❜ he shifted his weight onto the bed as an arm kept him propped up, bloom was all he N E E D E D - the reason he was able to stay S A N E despite the world collapsing around them. his free hand reaching to tuck strands of hair behind her ear, ʙʟᴜᴇ ᴇʏᴇs ʟɪɴɢᴇʀᴇᴅ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ ɢᴀᴢᴇ ᴀᴛ ʜᴇʀ ʟɪᴘs ʙᴇғᴏʀᴇ ᴅʀɪғᴛɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴇᴇᴛ ʜᴇʀs, ❛ thank you for staying with me. ❜

ɪᴛ ʜᴀᴅ ʙᴇᴇɴ ʜᴏᴜʀs ᴏғ ғɪɢʜᴛɪɴɢ, ʜɪs ᴇᴀʀs ʀᴀɴɢ ғʀᴏᴍ ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʟɪɴᴋɪɴɢ ᴏғ sᴛᴇᴇʟ ᴀɴᴅ ᴇᴄʜᴏᴇs ᴏғ ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ. they were never more than a few steps apart - their backs nearly always brushing against each other, a C O M F O R T he needed and a reminder she wasn't too far away from him. he scanned the room around them as knuckles turned white from his grasp around his sword, fairies and specialists aiding to the injured while others stood guard.

a sense of relief washed over him as his eyes finally landed on bloom, ʜᴇ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅɴ'ᴛ ʀᴇsɪsᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴜʀɢᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴋɪss ʜᴇʀ, a hand cupped the side of her face as his body climbed down from the high it was on. sky's lips formed into a smile when she pulled back and questioned his action, a quiet laugh filled the air around them as his hand find it's way to hers. ❛ because i love you, and we haven't lost either. ❜ there was no question to him whether they would WIN or LOSE, for him ʟᴏsɪɴɢ ᴡᴀs ɴᴏᴛ ᴀɴ ᴏᴘᴛɪᴏɴ - he could only imagine his friends ( his family ) had the same M I N D S E T.

❛ are you okay? ❜ sky knew it was only a matter of time before another small group would ᴀᴛᴛᴇᴍᴘᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ ᴀʟғᴇᴀ, but bloom was his priority in the moment.
