“Blah,” Rory said. “Blah Blah Blah.” She threw a pile of novelty socks in the open suitcase. It bled candy orange and pink lovehearts like an open wound. 

“Mmm.” Lane agreed from the other side of the room. She was carefully taping together a stack of CDs: When the Pawn… and Sgt Pepper’s as bookends. Rory’s bedroom was an explosion of nearly-nineteen years of novels and diaries and cups. Lots and lots of cups.

“I hate packing.” She proclaimed, frowning at a stack of paperbacks, twisting them this way and that, inspecting her jewels. Lunch Poems and The Outsiders and Anne of Green Gables. She tossed them in the case.

“I also hate –” kicking a pair of leather boots out the way, ones that zipped all the way up to her calves. Keep. “ – choosing. Like, what stuff to leave behind. I can’t Lane, I can’t do it!” Rory clutched a stuffed rabbit to her chest. The eye was falling out. 

“Well,” Lane gently pressed the stack of CDs into the bedsheets. They were a dazzling array of untucked corners and bright blue paisley. “That’s why I’m here. To be your ruthless right-hand man.”

Rory hummed, riffling through fourteenth-birthday cards in her desk drawer. “For instance.” Lane cleared her throat. “Do you really want to bring your I love pesto pasta from the annual Stars Hollow pasta eating contest that was cancelled five years ago?” She fingered the sleeve, the bright green stain. Rory snatched it. 

“Duh!” She brought it to her nose. “Mmm, still smells like 1998 and pesto and winning.”

Lane scoffed. “Okay, fine. How about your broken little miss piggy bank? Your half-depleted out-of-date lip smackers set? My grey guitar sweater?”

Rory huffed. “Okay, okay. I get it, I’ll purge.”  Lane put on Parallel Lines. They sat in their respective corners and purged.

Think we forget about Rory and Sidney for a while now! But I was thinking about the press pressure in their early relationship after going public and how people would react to this superstar being with this much younger girl bec we know even if she was the best player in the world they would still ignore it and treat her as a gold digger and such on

Again I have a little question for you, how you do keep writing? what motives you? My writing block is so bad I only write paragraphs and never continue the piece itself.

Rory and Sidney are my first proper au babies icl so we didn’t forget them it’s just nobody has spoken about them in a while! But it makes me so happy that you like Dreamer too!

Rory can’t help but scroll through Twitter as she reads what people are saying. Whilst she knew that dating Sidney would come with hate it seemed that everyone quickly forgot about the player she had been and had become.

That night when she was sleeping Sidney literally went through all of her social media accounts and muted any word like gold digger or could be related to it.

She had gone out with friends from college and they teased her how she got a good one and she didn’t even work for it. Rory wasn’t a fan of the comments but she put up with them.

At least she tried to until Jack called her and referred to Sidney as Mr Too Good For You. Because that’s what the media referred to him as for months until they watched Rory push him to his ass in a game.

Also now to your other questions! My motivation is honestly the support that I get on here, you guys truly do not know how much I love seeing y’all’s reactions to the things that I write 🫶 it does help though that I start with the ideas that im excited for. Unless I’m bored I put off the requests that seem less interesting to me. But my biggest piece of advice is to not force anything, writing shouldn’t feel like a chore or like it is hard!

aurora adele valentina petrelli came into the world screaming the day after christmas and for that, her mother always boasted that her little baby girl was a holy baby. despite her angelic look and her pretty little brown eyes, aurora was anything but angelic. she was a colicky, squirmy, crying baby that never seemed satisfied, and would cry at the very drop of a hat. she didn’t sleep well and angelina and anthony petrelli seemed to have their work cut out for them with their only little girl. the only time that aurora would cease crying at times would be when her big brother, cyrus, would hold her in his arms and rock her, sing to her, and for that moment when her big brown eyes looked into his dark eyes - it was all over. aurora had found her favorite person in the entire world and that was her older brother. since then, aurora remained close to her big brother and growing up in a big italian family all from long island, there would be many holidays where they would get in the car and drive down there or their big family would come up to the keys for vacation. the petrelli’s were never a wealthy family, but a comfortable family, a family that was loud, italian and proud of it, yelling about what kind of sauce was better, whose ziti was better and most of all, where a lot of love, craziness and happiness came from. aurora spent her time playing around with her older big cousins, getting her communion dress dirty, playing baseball, manhunt, hide and seek - doing whatever her big brother was doing and than so. she wanted so much to be one of the boys growing up, and for the most part, she kept up with them well. it was one thing though that set rory apart from everyone else in her family - her love for music. 

music was one of the only things that kept aurora out of trouble growing up. her piano and singing lessons always came first for her and she always excelled wildly. she starred in school plays, musicials, even a few stints on broadway and while it was a lot of pressure for her, she did so well and she loved it so much. it kept her disciplined and angelina and anthony were just glad that aurora had found such an interest in theater and music. throughout her adolescence, she stayed focused on music, wanting someone to go to a big brand name college and study theater and music, but things got in the way. it was a lot of pressure, to be on the big stage and have to do her schoolwork all by a certain time. rory put a lot of pressure on herself and she could remember the first time rocko martinelli entered her life. it was like love at first sight, or chaos meets fire. rockford “rocko” martinelli was a new kid from the wrong side of the tracks, a sophomore while rory was a freshman and he was older, bigger, and badder. he set his sights into rory and together, chaos ensued. 

first, it was just regular partying, some teenage fun and rory’s grades, average as they were, stayed the same. it wasn’t until rory talked to rocko one night at a party about the pressure she felt, to be like her brother, the smart, charismatic one, and rory always struggled comparing herself to others, despite her charm and wit. rocko knew exactly what buttons to press and knew how to dig his fingers into her. they dated, for such a long time, and their relationship was toxic, to say the least. they would fight, get high, forget all about it and before rory knew it, she was under a spell and most importantly, addicted to some pretty hardcore drugs herself. she was barely able to keep it through a day without snorting a line, injecting some heroine into her veins, or weed - it was what she loved to do with rocko. he had convinced her that she had needed no one else besides him and his drugs. 

all of this happened right up until senior year of high school, when rory was set up to go on a prestigious audition for uc berkeley’s music program. all was fine and good, but with her neves being so bad, rocko suggested she snort some cocaine, and funnily enough, she was too high to concentrate and her nose started bleeding onto the sheet of music she had. with that failed audition, aurora basically went into a downward spiral. she just barely graduated high school and moved in with rocko, and her parents were destroyed and distraught. the only person who could still get through to her was her older brother and sometimes even he couldn’t. she loved her drugs, loved her toxic relationship with rocko and for four years, the two of the did drugs, stopped, got clean together, but would fall off the wagon together too. 

it wasn’t until about six months ago, rory being fully a twenty five year old woman now, that she and rocko were still dating, on and off as always and they had fought, like they always did and then smoothed it out with some heroine. aurora fell asleep, but when she woke up, there rocko was, passed out - dead. panicked and horrified, rory had no one else to call but her big brother and when he came to her rescue, she was dissolved into tears and horror. since then, rory got her ass into rehab, basically with her brother dragging her there, and she’s been on and off with her drug use since. right now, she’s just doing weed and some coke here and there, off the heroine, but it’s only a matter of time before things dissolve again. she has yet to really face herself and face her real issues and that’s where we leave her.

I’ve already re-read it twice (and most likely will again) but both times, it was just so incredible! The colors matched to each of her lovers and metaphors were *chef’s kiss* as well as just the whole idea in general of her finding & losing her blue was wonderful.

Like quotes such as: “She can find her blue in the purple, and she can say “this is me, Rory Gilmore”.” / “Blue are the lines in the notebook, begging to be written in, and blue is the girl who vows she will” / “Rory Gilmore is blue through and through, but in her eyes, love is purple.”

DRISH<3333 THIS IS SUCH A CUTE QUESTION omg i need to make these short otherwise u will be getting an essay length response

1) I'M SO SAD THAT VIDEO DIDN'T LOAD but essentially the other day my roommate took her for a walk when it was like 84 degrees (29ish celcius?) and it was the first really hot day in a while so gracie wasn't used to walking in the heat so the video is of her flopped in my apartment lobby and my roommate literally needing to drag her across the floor bc she refused to keep walking😅

2) okay so she is very much still a Baby so the other day i took her to a little outdoor music festival thing in my city and it was a.... mistake. she is too friendly and she had never seen that many people before (she's a pandemic baby!) and she just kept jumping on people and i am truly a horrible trainer and kind of just had to scoop her up and hold her bc it was so much stimulus lolol

3) i took her to the beach the other day and she splashed in the water and was very very cute:') (here is a picture of her first encounter with ducks lol)

4) forcing her into a dog sweater for christmas is also a hilarious memory bc she TRULY hated it and didn't really know what to do with herself

5) this is not a specific memory but she hates sleeping in her crate now & likes sleeping in me/my roommate's bed and it is very adorable:')

okay so here's one paranormal experience of mine that to this day i hate to think about<3

so this took place in my college apartment (if u recall i was part of a sorority but my sorority didn't have a house so we all had to get apartments which was kinda sad) and the set up was that there was my bed against the righthand corner of the room and then maybe 6 inches of space and then my chair and desk right at the foot of the bed. my chair of course was the Chair of Laundry and Clothes-I'm-Too-Lazy-To-Put-Away. so, one night im on my phone and it's pretty early for me (say 2 am, i normally slept around 8 am in college. yeah..........i slept from 8 am to noon and then got up for classes alskdjfslfas) and i was rolling over from looking at the wall to the other side where my desk is. before i get into it: at that time i had only one (1) white shirt and it was a blouse that was hanging in my closet. the rest was all shades of black or navy. so because of all the clothes on my chair you i could physically SEE it from where i lay in bed (6 inches away) and reach out and easily touch it. well, im like...probably reading something on my phone and i turn and i see......there's this white fabric that covers my chair and goes UPWARDS?? you know how white in the darkness kind of illuminates almost in the moonlight? it was like that. im curious and kind of dumb so i sit up and i reach out and i can touch it? and i can see the PATTERN on it?? and im confused because...i don't own anything that feels like this, looks like this, and i swear that this is not my one (1) white blouse. i look up, there's more white fabric that extends to the ceiling, i look up again and there's like....this kind of cold feeling i get that's like..........oh something VERY bad will happen if i look up all the way. so i uh. instead of fleeing from the room im like. oh fuck this, fuck you, fuck off, so i turn back to the wall and burrow under the covers and then start hyperventilating because (1) i'm wide awake and i KNOW this isn't sleep paralysis and (2) why alsfjoiadjghkjouRFGJKDAGMLS

the other most recent one was in my old childhood house where i was telling my friend rory how i didn't have any paranormal experiences recently and how that was weird and then the window blinds to one of my windows (this window was always shut and i never opened the blinds there because of its position and there was NO vent anywhere) suddenly all sticked to the window and flayed out so that rays of light came into the room like something was pushed against it. there was nothing there to PUSH against the blinds and then it sprung back. so. well.

favorite non-sexual activity:  i mean driving is a copout answer but it is something i am on record as saying rory loves like she just really enjoys getting to drive around with someone she loves she likes getting to curate a driving playlists she likes having contained moments to talk with them she loves having goofy little road signs along the way to make fun of like truly and genuinely the stretches driving were her favorite part of their little adventure.

who uses all the hot water:  very tough call.  i think rory is a long scalding shower person so it could very easily be her.  but i feel like micah could also be a long scalding shower person.  and you know what?  don’t matter they were in motels where there was plenty of scalding water to go around or probably had some kind of schedule for every other day showering.

most trivial thing they fight over:  i dont wanna be like.  they don’t get in trivial fights.  but they don’t.  they were casual enough that trivial things didn’t really matter for a while and then they ran straight into the honeymoon phase and ignored almost all of their problems.  they may have bickered about what fast food to eat on the road but like largely they were avoiding fighting at all costs.

what has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue:  micah.  every hotel they could watch food network in you know they were doing it.  rory didn’t mind it she was too caught up in the euphoria of having run away with a man that she wasn’t hung up on making sure they were watching what she wanted.

who steals the blankets:  rory she’s baby :yum:  i think micah is not above stealing them right back though all bets are off when it comes to the cut throat world of keeping warm and cozy at night....

who cooks normally?:  they’re eating fast food baby <3333  a diner stop here and there,  maybe a nice chain steakhouse on a special occasion.  but overall,  there just is not any cooking happening here.  but hc there was a night when they sat around watching food network going back and forth saying what they would cook for each other when they got their own place one day.  it was mostly joke answers,  like novelty cupcake display ala cupcake wars or some insane garbage plate fries guy fieri was going to town on.  but the sentiment was sweet.

how often do they fight?:  again,  i don’t think often.  they really didn’t make it to the place where they had anything to fight about until their big last fight that ended it all.  before that,  i think even when it required them to bend out of place a little,  they were willing to do what it took to avoid fights and live in their little happy bubble.

what do they do when they’re away from each other?:  i mean before their trip when they were apart i just don’t think they kept in close touch.  like they were linked up on social media and maybe engaged a little that way but they weren’t like in consistent contact or anything.

nicknames for each other?:  i don’t know if they’re nickname-y/petname-y people.  maybe if they had a little more time......

what would they get each other for gifts?:  i think they did make a game of like getting each other dorky truck stop gifts.  like little shotglasses and ugly hats commemorating all the states they drove through.  maybe they got each other little road snacks they knew the other liked.  they didn’t really make it to like big gift giving occasions :pensive)

who made the first move?:  rory.  micah rolled into town right at the beginning of her hot girl summer after she decided to no longer waste energy on lusting after seth parrish,  and she just was not wasting time.

who kissed who first?:  micah.  rory was wiling to be more forward than ever but again she’s still baby and would let him take the lead on that one

who remembers things?:  they both do but i think rory’s a bigger asshole about it.

who cusses more?:  micah <3 i think rory can hang and cusses a fair amount but she cannot hold a candle to her dark prince.
